Here’s a tip to all parents if you come home to wanting to know about your child, you ask a member of the fire crew attending and don’t go running into the fire, unless you want to make a horrible mistake. Side note, John and George were real heroes to get the daughter out of the building, well done to both of you, a real credit no doubt
This used to scare me half to death I used to say to my mum make sure you turn things of at night time and when electrical things weren't in use. We did a fire safety class at school I was quite young when I did this but yeah it taught me about fire safety.
got a question for any ex-firemen, when the hose gets run over by the car, why does it discconnect and drench Recall like that? There was plenty of slack from what i saw. (I know its fiction but was just curious)
The bayonet or 'quick connects' are held by a cam in the female end. They can 'blow out' if there is too much force applied (it's better than damaging the entire discharge assembly). Either that or the male end was worn and the sudden change in pressure from the car running over it caused it to pop out.
When I was younger upto the age of 13 I thought it was real it was only when I saw something on tv some years ago I cant remember when or where I realised then it was special effects and it wasnt real. I'm glad it wasnt real at all and that they all got out ok. House fires are my worst nightmare as many of them can be prevented
Poor little girl I think she died in the fire never leave your kids unattended in the house they were so young. My mum friend karen in the 1980s used to leave her kids alone I was the same age as them and only about 5 or 6 at the time. Karen used to leave her children alone all the time looking back now it was stupid they never knew what to do in a emergency or if someone broke it if she did that in todays world boy she would be in serious trouble. Karen's kids was only 1 3 and 5 at the time of being left alone if a fire broke out in her home its heavens belief nothing like that ever happened she was more into parties and clubbing then she was staying at home with her kids. She used to leave her kids for hours and hours at the time any time day or night her kids was too little to know what to do in any emergency like a fire or if her children needed ambulance or police. This will not have happened today her kids would have been taken off her immediately
Regardless of this being fictional I have the up most respect for firefighters and the truly dangerous work they do.
