Most people do not go for Prinz Chevaulegers because War Wagons are such a good unit already.
Prinz Chevaulegers have the benefit of extremely high hand attack. It is 2.72 times much dps in hand attack mode than its ranged attack. Its hand attack also has a range of 4.
Though they do not have a multiplier versus artillery in hand attack mode. They have a multiplier of 0.6 against light infantry makes them only do 1.63x as much damage to light infantry in hand attack mode (though still better than normal, especially as it ignores their high ranged resistance).
Most helpfully, they do a lot more damage to villagers in hand attack mode.
Overall a good unit, but replacing War Wagons seems pointless as they are already good. The shipment value is okay though.
I think they should have the card not replace War Wagons and instead have it replace Uhlans from shipments. And +1 unit from shipments.

I do like them more than War Wagons, they don't overkill as much and they are still pretty tanky for a goon and they automatically go into melee when they're close to units so you don't have to change stances in battles, just get them on top. They're also faster which annoys me a lot about wagons. They're so devastating against heavy cav and artillery once they closed the gap and they still trade decently enough against goons in melee.

For Germany, every card matters, Prinz Chevaulegers would be perfect if it does not cost a shipment

@@mastermirror3888 your choice is 4 ww +2 Uhlan or 8 chevys - 500 food. It's not impossible to macro that amount considering the number of units you get. It's a decent shipment, especially in certain situations.

This map is simply not suitable for a "standard" map used in ranked games where you are blind picking into maps and MUs.

why didnt you put in more warwagon/chevy shipments? one of the big advantages with chevy is you get that one extra goon shipment in age 3.
also really recommend spanish riding schools for goon combat, considering you might have to go melee and better kiting in general. base chevys are slower than normal goons

Nah, that's the fun part. In aoe3, micromanagement isn't even that necessary. Many player can just drag box and attack move units and win.
