You can use you ring finger to add a D# 8th fret of the g string for some extra pizzaz, Maybe use your index finger to barre the b string on the 5th fret for a bit of tasteful dissonance. Good stretching exercize as well!
Maybe not those 2 specific albums, but definitely in other bands sus2 chords are popular. But no way Kurt even knows what sus2 is, MAYBE billy but not kurt Lol
Somber would be a great band name, or some such like Just stumbled across your channel, any chance we could hear a little of your band ? Sounds like it could be interesting 🤔
@@thesethingsmakenoises You look similar to one of the guys from Black Rebel Motorcycle club, Peter I think, met him for a minute at a gig once, not that it has any relevance to the price of fish...
I think it has to have the triad plus the 9th/2nd to be add 9. There’s a couple videos on it actually but I think pretty much on guitar it’s gonna sound really similar
I often use these chords. Love the special vibe they provide
This is just awesome to understand this finally
Those chords just have a special feeling to em, i absolutely love sus 2s
Love this chords !
Mind blowed
Cheers mate!
To my knowledge nirvana never ever used that chord. Their music was super simple and Kurt used sloppy power chord shapes.
I think there’s a couple songs on in utrero they’re used
@@thesethingsmakenoises on a plain is the only one I can think of

the way Kurt played power chords was by using his index and ring finger, which would bar the strings and create the sus2 sound
