How many soldiers of Godrick does it take to beat Elden Ring?

- In this video, I will be pitting the Soldier of Godrick Spirit ashes against all the required story bosses of the game in order to find out how many of them it takes to become Elden Lord.
here are the rules:
1. Start with the stock Soldier of Godrick Spirit ashes upgraded to +10, and have them fight against the required bosses of the game
2. Each time the Soldiers fail to kill a boss, add at least 1 Soldier to the group and challenge the boss again
3. Repeat this process until the Elden Beast is dead, and how ever many Soldiers are in that fight will give us our answer
4. To give the army variety, the 5th and 10th soldiers added will be the Knights of Godrick, the 15th added will be Godrick himself, and the 20th and every 5th after that will be Godefroy

I think it would be interesting to see the Marionettes try to beat Elden Ring, since they're incredibly varied, and also have a flying variant.

Could you do it with Leyndell's forces? Leyndell Soldiers, Leyndell Knights, Crucible Knights, Tree sentinels (normal and Draconic), Perfumers, High pages, Godfrey's shade and the Omen King? I want to see Morgott finally gaining access to the Erdtree lol

you could start with +5 summons, or maybe even lower, and every 5 deaths add a level to the summons, so after 5 godrick soldiers, they level up to +6 each.
Canonically it should take the pinkie finger of Rick, the true soldier of god
Maybe at 75 summons the real Rick, Soldier of God decided to join the assault, but the game couldn't handle his presence.
Well, he did defeat the game, just not in the intended way lmao
To make the giant bottleneck less extreme, how about adding one of the optional mid-game boss like radhan,rikkard, astel or fortissax after morgott?

Wasn't expecting to hear Mirror B.'s battle theme from Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness at the start, someone has pretty good taste in music (and possibly games), that game had a pretty banger soundtrack, even if easily the best track in the game (and one of the best in the ENTIRE franchise) is a slightly enhanced version of a track from Pokémon Collosseum (Semi-Final battle theme, aka the track that plays during the 3rd round of any Collosseum run).
here's an idea for a video:
take one of the npc-types you've used in your videos and try to beat elden ring with the final amount of that npc-type you've determined is needed to beat elden ring from the start, BUT with the following catch:
every time one of those npcs dies from a boss, it is taken away from the roster for the whole run
Godrick should have had the dragon head but other than that awesome video also you should do the forces of the hailgtree with the haligtree soldiers and knights along with the cleanrots

Man, you should cut down the army's size to half after the fire giant. That big boy has so many deadly aoe attacks that we need way more troops than expected.

Hey there, no idea if you'll see this or not. But there are a lot of channels on youtube that do Elden Ring Ai vs Ai fights, and one of the main things they do is make sure that the player isn't targeting the player mid fight. For example, the Fire Giant's blasts of fire seemed to aim at you, or at the very least the targeting was messed up, like at the end when it fired basically in the opposite direction of the soldiers, and when the Godskin noble respawned, slashing you after respawning.
Another thing that becomes clear, watching those videos, is that +10ing ANY enemy makes them exponentially more powerful, to the point that a single +10 Runebear was able to defeat MALENIA on its own. Needless to say, I feel like +10 should be reserved for things like the large Oracle Envoys, or in this video's case, Godrick and Godefroy.
Just my personal thoughts, I still find the video very entertaining
Small edit at the end there, but as for my recommendation, I would really like to see how many of those weird enemies where it's two guys stuck inside a cage together, holding bows and spears, the ones that go haywire when they take damage. And also, I feel like Placidusax would make for an awesome finale at the end of these videos, as his attacks are a lot more entertaining, and effective, against hordes of enemies than Malenia's attacks
Yeah I'm still facing problems with 5 bosses:
1. The Fire Giant - because his second phase trigger teleports the player model back into the arena even if I move it elsewhere
2. Godskin duo - for some reason their ai doesn't activate on the newly spawned godskins if the player model isn't around(plus the rolling attack)
3. Maliketh - no idea what happens here, just sometimes his ai goes wonky
4. Elden beast - similar to the fire giant, when elden beast spawns the player model is teleported right in front of him
5. Rahdan - the meteor attack always targets the player model.
I believe I have a solution to #5, but for the others I think I need to spawn in the boss's for a seperate fight, outside the normal story. or maybe program some hotkey to teleport the player model away as soon as it teleports in front of the boss
@@troglodyte480 That could work, and in all honesty, I think spawning in the bosses individually would probably work best, just to be absolutely sure nothing breaks regarding the player.
I think it's possible that some channels have found a way to just flat out disable the player's model and hitbox(mainly because Bjornthebear somehow never gets hit by any attacks, even when the camera is inside of them), so it may be that the player's camera is what gets teleported, and the body follows it. Again, I only have knowledge of what is possible, not hot to actually do it.
Otherwise, a solution for 5 is just to stand close to the hordes of NPCs. that way Radahn's strongest attack is guaranteed to not be an absolute dud. Not surprised the Godskin Duo is wonky, everything about them is.
Also, while I'm here, since you said in the video you'd be shifting some things to make the early game easier, I think I have a possible system for it
