- In this video, Robert garcia talks about the controversial win the towering inferno Sebastian Fundora had over Tim Tszyu and taking his WBC and WBO titles. Robert garcia the trainer deserves the blame, not the cutman! and they should've stopped the fight before the fourth round. The WBO has now order Terence Crawford to fight Sebastian fundora and now we wait to see what Fundora wants to do and the decision he wants to take wether it's giving Sebastian fundora the rematch, fighting Errol spence, or Terence Crawford. Robert garcia also talks Bam Rodriguez vs Gallo Estrada, Ryan garcia vs Devin haney, and Canelo vs Jaime Munguia

True dat!! Thought it was only me didn't wanna hear Robert Bec I know ES sport is gonna say soom non-sence would kill any wisdom from Robert.
Robert, Robert, what did you think of the Tim sebastian fight? Robert, Robert. Pita what's your father think of the fight?
Tim doesn't give a fuck, he's brain is wired to fight no matter what, his will to fight for the fans legendary.🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊.
That's why he's the throwback fighter💯👊
say what you will, but instead of getting a money match with Spence, hes gets a loss on his record
@@dn8579na. He will always get big fights he generates to much money in Australia
Tim Tszyu’s team shit the bed.
yeah tim even said “no comment”when asked the question about the cut at the post conference.
over their heads
Obesity never had 10 stitches in the head, I had over 50 in my face playing field hockey, not fun, with broken jaw, you can only do what you can do,I'm look forward to the rematch, but a se sensational fight
as an australian we had a massive letdown with our three fighters all losing ,Liam Wilson ,micheal Zerafa and Kostyas son ,unfortunately 90 percent of so called boxing experts here are convinced Fundora threw an illegal elbow ,which is not the case at all
@@PETERNESS 100 percent an accident
The trainer and cut man put Tim Tsyuz's record down.
They should have stopped the fight
Tim put his value up ,his heart is undisputed .
He belongs
The doctor should've stopped the fight in the second
Agree completely, it was no different than an accidental head-clash, it should have been stopped after the end of the 2nd round.
Amazon is happy that fight didn’t stop lol they needed that advertisement 🤭
Robert Garcia is the first trainer I heard that understands the seriousness of the blood gushing cut Tszyu had. It was too dangerous fighting for 10 rounds bleeding like that. Tszyu made a very poor decision continuing to fight after round 3. His trainer was probably afraid to stop it to avoid angering Tszyu.
Tim's Uncle is his trainer and perhaps sometimes when in type of situation it may have been best if the trainer was not related to the fighter or at least in the corner so a decision can be made without bias or emotional reaction.
Get Robert in that corner
He didn't stop Margarito vs paquiao bro
Tim's trainer Igor also trained Kostya and have known him since he was a kid.
Just a huge lapse in judgement, it is what it is.
That's there uncle
Johnny Lewis trained Kostya ,if Johnny was in the corner he would have stopped it .
@@Mac-jx8uj Johnny Lewis is a legend boxing trainer
Totally correct
Unfortunately Tim’s uncle IGor and trainer let Tim down by not immediately stopping the fight.
I couldn’t understand why the fight continued and not made a NC.
Sometimes the trainer need to save the fighter from their own toughest.
As an Australian and huge fan of Kostya I was so sad to see the fight play out this way and only hope Tim gets a rematch to show what he can do with Fundora when he can actually see.
Tim looked like dynamite in those first two rounds and I was initially very confident.
Hopefully it’s just a hick up in Tim’s boxing career.
I remember Vitali got that huge cut against Lewis when he looked like winning.
Must be so frustrating!
Look who is talking the one who didn't stop Margarito from fighting against Pacquiao, when Pacquiao was destroying Margarito's eye.
Whole different situation. Margarito was at the end of his career and had no reason to stop, he had nothing to lose. Tim had everything to lose
Remember when Mikey was fighting Salido and was dominating including scoring multiple knockdowns when Salido decided to get dirty and broke Mikey's nose with a headbutt. Robert ended up calling the doc over about it and it went to technical decision on the scorecards, and afterward people called Mikey a quitter for not fighting the rest of the fight at a disadvantage caused by Salido deciding to get dirty. And yet here people are saying it's a travesty that the doc didn't stop it even though it was initiated by Tim and his own team are the ones who didn't call for it to be halted. Maybe team Tszyu thought they could control the bleeding or that Fundora would be easy work even with a cut.
That Cut Was Too Deep To Stop The Bleed
A good cutman would use gloves, come with proper techniques and materials.
@@Bb-pw1ziwrong. A good cutman would've told Tim and the trainer, "look I'm not gonna be able to stop this, it's cut across the main vein in the forehead... We gotta stop the fight or else he's going to be blind for ten rounds"
@@CornPopWazABadDude That too along with all his other blunders
Nothing the cut man could've done for a deep cut like that, because fundora kept hitting the cut, the problem was the sorry Dr should've stop the fight. Rule no contest and rematch.
Totally agree love the tzu family been watching their boxing journey since their father was a bashing away but yeah was in shock that, that fight wasnt stopped.
Robert knows this game so well, everybody occupied with the cut man, no one calling out the trainer
I hope this is how Robert will be with his fighters. Because he sure as heck wasn’t like that with Margarito when he fought pacquiao. HE should’ve stop that fight. He didn’t protect his fighter that night or brandon with pacquiao too
😂 Margarito had heart tho 😂😂😂
Do we need to say anymore, 100%
Thank you 👍
Yeah because Low key Robert knew Margarito was a cheater. And was like low key let this cheater take this a$$ beating!!! 😂😂😂💯
If Tim won, then no one would've said stop the fight. The trainers believed in Tim's ability to knock out Fundora given Fundora looked already all beat up and didn't anticipate Fundora to bring it and take those punches. I was surprised seeing Tim w/ those power punches w/ Fundora still standing.
Yes good comment
Yes I was calculating the blood loss. About 50ml per round is half a litre during the fight, easy, possibly more
You have no idea were u in the corner ?
I totally agree! It's very easy to be a Monday-morning quaterback...
If Tim had won with a spectacular KO (which was all te time close to happening) everybody would possibly be saying today Tim is one of the most GLADATORIAL FIGHTERS in boxing, instead of blaming his corner...
@@FC-kn3eb That's a good point. The blokes i watched the fight with discussed it at the time, when the fight was continued after the 3rd and then the 4th - that if Tszyu wins the fight (especially if by KO) it will be an all time great victory and probably get him on the news everywhere in the USA...BUT.... was it worth the risk?
If Spence fights Fundora he'll probably win and then PBC will hold those 2x154 belts prisoner.
I was mad at his team too. I said stop the fight after the 2nd round too. That ended up being the bloodiest fight ive ever seen. Tim team should have thrown the towel and got a rematch.
Who paused the video to check if someone was screaming for help?
😢😂
Stitch Duran said you can't stop the bleeding on a cut like that. Cut man is not to be blamed.
Trainer 100% at fault.
Garbage. Stitch said all of Tzsyu‘s cutman techniques were wrong. No gloves, no pressure, only one swab, wrong material etc etc.
@Bb-pw1zi I Thought TytzusrCutman Did @ Horrible Job Every Rd he Came Out The Bleeding was Constantly Vaseline Was Not gonna Stop it but Robert's Right Tims Trainer Was Responsible as Well!
@@enriqueluna9086 I always thought the trainer was in charge in the corner. ? If so; 100% trainer's fault, no debate.
Lesson learned. Credit to Fundora for doing his job though 🔥
At 1:57 Robert was gonna say “that fkn trainer” 😂😂 you can tell
Yep. He held back. 😅
I hope this is the last video I ever see about this fight, because, already, it's in the past and that's where it should stay. Everybody should move on and I'm sure Tim Tszyu has or is in the process of doing that. If he has an ounce of his father's genes, he'll be back better than ever.
You're right mate but unfortunately the conversations being had about the fight will continue perhaps for years to come and at least until Tim returns and regains his ranking.
If a person loses 1 liter of blood - 15% of their total blood volume - they can go into shock.
He's 100% correct. Tim's team screwed up and possibly the ringside doctor too. Somebody should have stopped it. After that gash happened in the 2nd round the fight was illegitimate.
Correct me if I’m wrong, is it not up to the doctor and ref to stop the fight rather than anyone of Tim’s team?
Yea you are correct the cut man and trainer can recommend that the fight be stopped but ultimately if the fight is going to be a no contest it needs to happen before round 4 round , after round 4 it goes to the scorecards if the fight is stopped, the ringside doctor and referee are the only ppl who can rule the fight a no contest not a cut man or trainer the only time a trainer or cutman stop a fight without the nod of approval from a ref or ringside doctor is by throwing in the towel
When your a man of your word your “word” is your contract!!
The first two round tzyu was gonna win that fight
Exactly, fight should of been stopped at end of 2nd.Trainer and doc are to blame.Docs job is to look after the fighter, just as much as the trainer.Have seen fights stopped over much smaller cuts.Tim needs to seriously consider who's in his corner.
Thank you for saying this as an aussie tszyu fan this was one of the most unfair, heart breaking moments ive had to endure. If not for the cut Tszyu most likely stops Fundora in 5
If fundora nose and mouth not bleeding he stop Tim
If it could cause permanent injury then you have to stop it. If not, then it's business decision. One loss versus millions of people seeing you fight through something like that. The rematch will be HUGE now compared to if they stopped it after 2 rounds. These are expensive PPV fights. These fighters and trainers are businessmen.
Right on robert
Robert Garcia #”LEGEND”
Even the referee and the doctor should've stepped in and stop the fight. Everything was just ridiculous...
Ask This trainer which fighter got him paid the most please 👍
Speaks a lot of truth great commentary
Hindsights a beautiful thing ain't it
You realize everybody with any level of boxing IQ was saying stop it from round 3 on right?
Was watching live with a group and everyone was saying "why the HELL aren't they stopping this fight" in round 3... That was an easy call.
@CornPopWazABadDude if you understand Tim Tszyu his mentality the belief him and his team have as being the best, and to the embrace the mantra of the throwback days of boxing. No way him and his team would stop the fight as he states "this is warrior 💩" . Why I stated hindsight is beautiful thing. Still as a Tim Tszyu fan that fight made him even more of a legend
@@kystella ya I get it... But it was still a dumb move when the guy is clearly blinded, punching air which he wasn't doing before the cut. Go look at any pictures of Tim's face after round 2. The whites of his eyes are bright red completely filled with blood. Like you can't even see any part of the whites in them. Totally covered in thick blood.
Imagine having a front row view of that in the corner, after watching his in ring performance quickly decline and still deciding to let him lose his belt over some "macho" BS and being too proud.
Does anyone else see similarities between Tim and Mikey Garcia? The patience. The moving fwd . Creating counter punching opportunities from the walking fwd pressure . Parrying shots and countering over the top with the right. I reckon they have the same focused intensity in their eyes!
I've been saying since Saturday that if Tim Tszyu is going to become an elite fighter based in the USA he needs an established elite trainer - like Robert Garcia! People have been saying that it was the cut man not the head coach, but the fish rots from the head. The buck has to stop with the man in charge. TT's corner are either incompetent or they were overwhelmed by the pressure of headlining a Vegas PPV card
Well obviously the trainer is accustomed to all this given he's the same trainer who trained Kostya Tszyu.
@@UtopiaBlue68 that's not right. Not your fault as there has been some bad reporting on some of the fight coverage of Tim Tszyu and you must've heard that.
Johnny Lewis trained Kostya Tszyu. Igor is Kostya's brother-in-law and may have been around in the gym and in life, but Kostya was trained by Australia's greatest ever trainer Johnny Lewis (also trainer of 3 division champ Jeff Fenech and two time WBC light heavy champ Jeff Harding)
I love Robert Garcia he's so knowledgeable about boxing disguise definitely an icon keep up the good work Robert
Raza, Don't Sell Out, Support Your People... 🥊🇲🇽🥊
I felt the same with Spence. James should have stopped the fight and saved Spence some of that damage. As a trainer its your job to have your fighters best interest at heart. If the fighter gets pissed you stopped it? Oh well they will eventually get over it. There health is more important
How about if the figther will be the one to discontinue because of the headbutt before the fourth round?
💯
Robert García is 100 percent correct, this man is just a professional!
💯💯
💯 in agreement with Robert
We have many blood vessels on top of our head so when we get cut there is a lot of bleeding. It doesn't mean it is serious. Tim told the doctor that he had no problem seeing. Fundora deserves a lot of credit and congratulation to him.
Well that's not true I'm afraid Tim was running on adrenalin as he has said on numerous occasions he couldn't see for most of the fight it was all blurry.
@@UtopiaBlue68 He already said that he didn't have any trouble seeing why make excuses for him if he isn't? You must have lost a big ass bet LOL!
@@Surfboard927 And you my friend must have missed Tim's Post Fight interviews where he clearly states he had issues seeing anything in front of his face. Tim was never about to tell the referee he couldn't see let alone the DR it was a massive deal to fight and he had everything to lose and everything to gain from this match. The GP should have gave Tim an eye test and postponed the fight.
Tims corner stuffed up. If I was Tim I'd get another trainer
This fight continued because of politics, the well being of boxers were put to one side.
Very good interview
Thank you 👊🏽
@@LittleGiantBoxing The first mistake . Taking a fight on short notice against one of the most awkward opponents around. Poor management
@@mrtjpeno1141but then the 154 lb division would be less interesting than what it is now. And it was on the trainer at first that caused Tim to lose because they could have gotten a no contest or a technical decision win after round 4. And then it was on the cut man or whoever brings the medical supplies for the corner that caused Tim to lose. That’s pretty crappy when you’re fighting at a top level with the titles on the line, AND you don’t have a rematch lined up before the fight if the champ loses. And the funny thing is, all that could have been avoided if they hired someone like Stitch Duran who has been around for a long time. Stitch prob would have brought his own supplies and prob would have told the trainer that they could stop the fight and still pull off a win if he couldn’t plug that big cut. I’m good either way tho because I’ve always been wanting to see Fundora vs Spence in Dallas anyways
@@mrtjpeno1141It's the PBC's fault for putting in a tall, awkward opponent as a late sub vs Tim who trained for a short Keith Thurman. The guys at PBC are a bunch of idiots.

Nice shirt!
I believe Tim's trainer is his manager aswell, im sure that played a part in the decision to not stop the fight
his manager is glen jennings
Tim's trainer is his Uncle Igor who also trained Kostya his father.
Your job as a trainer is to look out for fighter happened to early if it was later then ok but damn
Yea I thought they should have called it that man had a gash in his head

What's a cut men for than

👍
Very cool

I agree with Robert. Much respect to all the boxers who entertained us Last weekend. Even Rolly. 😂
Love Roberto🇲🇽😎
He did not beat Tim. He won by circumstance. Tim is a victim of them
It was the officials fault, it should have been a no contest!
Incompetent trainer should be fired.
Bro Tim would’ve killed him if it wasn’t for that cut, if anyone disagrees they are sticking up for a fighter they like instead of being neutral and calling the shit how it is
Crawford will kill Fundora. Tim needs to reorganize his team and make sure he has an actual cutman next time. Tim was dominating the fight until the cut.
There's some fool arguing with me on Twitter X that it was ok for the fight to continue haha
who is the young kid he spoke about 18yo
Tim's corner f*cked him up, big time...
As haveing 3 amateur bouts under my belt i can say i would have stopped that cut so i suggest use nail polish and he can defend his title once
Tim was ripped off either way its viewed. Should have been stopped by someone / anyone.
This mans 100% on the money
Tell me why the fuck you wouldn’t do a rematch clause, knowing your opponent switched eight days before fight does not make no sense along with how the fight played out and didn’t stop along with Fundora fighting Spence, next of all people
I don't even understand that one either....a trainer as dumb as Bullet would have stopped that fight ....
Excuses excuses... He was carrying on like a hard ass then after blood turned into a 🐱 he better not run like Charlo now! If he was as good as he's been acting out would have easily won
Im only watching this video cause tim bring me here 🇭🇲
My man Robert garcia.
Robert didn't stop Margarito vs paquiao
Absolutely stupid to Continue the fight, they should have eaten pride and made the Smart move
People are such crybabies yes tim had blood near his eyes. But he was still landing clean punches. This narrative that he was blind the whole fight is a complete farce. He simply couldn't get past the jab
What give crawford his shot fk that tszyu shit or spence... Zu shoulda fought crawford anyway
I smell ego in this one got the best of him. Crazy im just watching this. Met them both in Miami and i was a Fundora fan from the start. Karma!
At last some common sense!
And why didn’t you stop Margarito from Pacquiao fight?
Cuz Margarito ain't a quitter. Just a cheater lol
Tim tyzu cut man was trash ! If they had stick Duran it would have been different
If kostya was at the fight like he was planned to be i would hope he would have stepped up and stopped the fight
Its nice to think that, but kostya is hardly a presence in Tim's boxing life - or life in general! Tim got genetics from kostya but that's about all. He didn't even get a money lifestyle! Tim and his sibs lived on struggle street with their single mum while kostya was living the rock star life in Moscow. Rocking with the oligarchs!!
Yeah I know bro. Its sad but also a blessing in disguise, Most champs come from struggle street.I've followed tim his whole career aswell. I just don't get why Igor let it go that way . I just woulda hoped kostya had the sense to step in and stop it. We know Tim's a warrior but he didn't need to lose that fight he's the far better boxer. And it was obvious how the cut changed the fight. If he was outskilled or outclassed I'd understand but to let it go that way just dosnt sit right.
Lindolfo Delgado beats Subriel Matias
If I were Crawford, I would consider a very hefty amount for step aside money from Spence and then fight Tszyu, Knock him out and then come back and take the titles from Spence AGAIN....
Dreamer
If the trainer stopped the fight because of the cut wouldn’t that be considered throwing in the tow and that’s still a loss for Tyszu ?
nah, the cut was caused by accidental clash (not by punch)
if they stop the fight before Rd4 it's a No Contest.
If they stop the fight after Rd4, it goes to the scorecards for the 1st 4 rds.
Because the blood was getting into Tszyu's eyes and impairing his vision, the team had every right to stop the fight at any point
@@JT-br7xg that’s if the doctors stop the fight not the trainer of the fighters corner
They would stop it because the trainer can say he can't see from the blood.
@@Donny956 that’s 2 different things. JT is saying that the trainer of of the corner has the power to make the decision without it being a throwing in the towel situation
@vincentdigirolomo8056 Yes, because it's an accidental headbutt, so telling the ref and doctor that he can't see because of that cut will stop the fight and make it a no contest.
