- So I was making the mistake of thinking the MOPAR instructions for the Homelink device were built in two separate steps, one for just older garage door openers (non rolling code) and the new ones, rolling code. little did i know, if you have a rolling code opener, you have to program it first like it is a non rolling code opener and then as the rolling code opener. Hopefully this helps you! I am sure this Homelink is on many MOPAR trucks and cars such as the Dodge Ram, Caravan, Charger, Gladiator JT, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler JL and JLU, Chrysler, etc. I hope this helps you, i just could not figure out what i was doing wrong... WOW, thanks you save the day. I have the same Homelink visor system in my Ram pickup and all it takes is the Learn button being pressed and then pressing the button on the visor twice that I wish to use. I didn't need a working remote. Thanks, great video.

Perfect video. Thank you! I had given up months ago after trying hours to program my Chamberlain/Liftmaster to my Gladiator. Just one note, the truck needs to be on before you start the programming. This may seem obvious to most but it took me a few minutes to figure out why the Homelink button wasn’t lighting up! Also, my Chamberlain direct-drive opener has a yellow and black button. Use the YELLOW button to sync it to the car’s Homelink button in the last step of this video. Again...thank you!

Thanks! You made it a hell of a lot easier than Mopar. They aren't very clear that you have to do both steps. They make it seem as it is this way if you have an older opener and a different way if you have a newer opener.
