Unfortunately old men are passed by everyday on the street homeless and people go around them but will pickup a homeless dog in a heartbeat lol
@@sproutsisters5398 As a guy who will be an old man within a decade, I must say that I too would choose the dog in a heartbeat. Because people come with lots of baggage and legal risks. Dogs come with potty training issues mostly and otherwise are a bundle of affection. Mostly.
I adopted two senior chihuahuas. One was about 10, and the other was 14 or so. Both lived 20+ years. chihuahuas are very long lived.
Did yours have dental issues? I adopted mine from the humane society after he was returned twice! He was around 2 at the time. Now he’s around 10. His teeth are so bad tho no matter what I’ve tried. Love him to death tho 🥰

@@ausialasalle9340 …We adopted a chi around 4 yrs old and yes, he had horrible teeth regardless of what you put in his water or had his teeth cleaned. Unfortunately, our chi recently passed away too young around 11 or 12 yrs old, we’re guessing, since the shelter didn’t know his exact age. We miss him terribly and talk about him still almost every day.

He's a senior?!?! I would not have guessed that, middle aged maybe. He is very healthy, energetic, no arthritis or similar. And a great personality 🤗❤️

True, but a lot more people have actually been started to adopt older dogs. Their adoption rates have gone up the past 3yrs and especially the last year!

many seniors come trained ! I adopted an older doxie and she let me know when she had to go out. Other manners. I love puppies, but seniors hold a special part of my heart, I've had many in my life.

Chihuahuas are also extremely intelligent dogs. My neighbor had four. When going full tilt....They really kept HIM on his toes!

He has the same body type as our chihuahua. She is a deer-head chihuahua. We did a DNA test on her and she is all chihuahua going back three generations. I’m glad to see he gets to spend his last years living the life he should have had all along.

Just lost my 16-year-old chihuahua last week.....Wednesday. I loved that dog like people love their kids. I got her when she was two and she always clung to me in a crazy, wonderful way. She would scream and cry if I left the room...she was demanding and funny and incredibly loving. I'm 70 and, somehow, I think this is the worst loss I have ever felt. Bless the people who take the time to care for any pet, and, especially, a senior. I love you Minnie and I think of you every day - probably will for the rest of my life.

I'm a senior myself and in my life, I've named many dogs. I try and think of a special, funny, clever name and always fail. lol. My Dog Katie, Buster, Sparky, Bennie, and more didn't care. As long as I loved them they listened.

Chihuahuas are notorious barkers. But that not barking much comes from his Italian greyhound side. I had an Italian greyhound for 15 years and heard her bark maybe 8 to 10 times her entire life. What a cute little guy he is!

Oh My, Mr. Scribbles is a joy ! I'm a senior myself and all my dogs lived long and happy. I had 2 toy fox terriers who lived till 17 &21+ and good years !! I wonder about why so many dogs seem to age faster, lose their teeth, or eye issues, etc. these days (or so it seems) Perhaps were just more aware. The 21 yr old I had, was 4 1/2 pounds of pure sweetness ! He LOVED cats and other dogs. He kept his teeth and although a bit gray, he retained his eyesight. Dogs should get long lives in a forever home, or adopted as needed. Those senior years can be harder and they deserve their golden years to be happy and safe. Love to Mr. Scribbles, he has the best life, from the best person ! You go Mr. S !!!

I adopted what they said was a senior cat many many years ago. He was 7 or 8.
He was my son and we traveled together and he was so intelligent and loving 💕 we rescued eachother 💕 Animals are incredible loving emotional and healing Angels 💕

Mr. Scribbles is a mix between Italian greyhound, Fox Terrier and Chihuahua. I have one that looks exactly like him. I met a breeder that explained that this is how they breed them.
My little guy will be 18 in March!! Still going strong!
