    I purchased my power vision for $445 from fuel moto total cost , for my 2020 road glide special 114 air cooled. I had really bad leg burning heat from the engine. I only had 4” Vance n Hines slip ons. They provide a custom tune according to the mods you tell them your bikes mods and the power vision will come with a custom tune for your bikes particular mods. I immediately flashed my bike with the new tune that fuel moto provides and it was a lot cooler and definitely more power very noticeable immediately! I’m very happy compared to Harley stealerships cost of $800.

    So I’ve installed mine ran it 2200 miles with the stock improved tune and then I did the full stage 1 with Bassani RR3 and SE heavy breather. 100% the stock improved is worth it alone. It has noticeably greater power. It even sounded better. I would have been happy with just that except I wanted to change the look and intake and e hairs really does that. Remember to reset your fuel trims with you do a full stage 1 install. I didn’t with the stock improved but had to with the stage 1. The PV is a great tuner I highly recommend and Fuel Moto is super awesome and very helpful. Best to get it from them.

    Thank you for the info. It answered a question I had about tuners in general. Getting a tuner, exhaust, and air intake at once is pricey for me. I wanted to know if I could start with a tuner first and use it with a stock iron 883. Sometime later continue to invest in the rest of the stage 1 items.

      It's data from the ECM. There are sensors all over your engine. Oil temp, air intake temp, engine temp, head temp, voltage, oil pressure, fuel usage, tire pressure (if your bike has those sensors), AFM, RPM, Speed (from the gearbox), etc. And a lot of stuff can be calculated from that data, like selected gear, power, torque, etc.

I would recommend the vibration damper too only because after a while I did have the vibration start to loosen up the nubs on the quad lock adapters which isnt a big deal and you could live with it if you wanted to. I personally just like the Quad Lock system because its easy to pull the tuner off and toss it in a pocket or saddle bag if you park someplace sketchy. amzn.to/39lAgcg

    Hi Heritage Bro !!
    I'm in the process of getting a tuner for my 2018 FHCS and I'm kind of interested about the Powervision.
    The thing is, I live in Paris - France and the screen cannot stay on the bike for more than 1 hour or it will be stolen.
    So, does the PV screen has to be on the bike everytime I ride ?
    Or can I just leave the cable on the bike, put the screen when I need to ?
    Will my settings and maps still be active if the screen is not connected on the bike ?
    As I understand, the screen acts pretty much like your phone with V&H FP3. You can use it to monitor things and tune the bike but once it is flashed in the bike it isn't mandatory.
    Am I correct ?
    PS - I really like how you got that tail light base plate blackened. You shoud show us how you did ;-)
    Be safe out there !
    Thanks.
    Simon "Simba"

    • @GearsGadgets
      @GearsGadgets  Před 4 lety

      You do not have to keep it on the bike at all times. I just do it because I am safe where I am at. You can ride without it and the maps stay programmed. Also, I just rattle canned that chrome piece and it turned out REALLY good. I will probably have to eventually powder coat it but a dremil to roughen up the chrome and some careful painting worked out just fine for now. Ride safe!!

    @lars8668 Před 3 lety

    I purchased a use 2010 Electra Glide Classic from the second owner. It has a screaming eagle high flow air cleaner and what appears to be stock pipes installed by the original owner. I don't know if the catalytic converters have been removed. The second owner indicated there is a 96 to 103 bore kit installed however after looking at the gaskets they appear to be the original 96 gaskets. (They do not have the tab sticking out like the 103 gaskets.) I am assuming they put a different tune in the stock HD tuner. Will the Power Vision tuner tell me if there is currently a 96 tune or a 103 tune in the bike? How much information will the Power vision tell me about what is currently in the bike?
    My plan is to replace the stock pipes with D& D 2 into 1 fat cats. Are the D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1 Headers in the choices to select for down loads? Or will the Dynojet power vision compensate for what ever the pipe is in the auto tune mode? I have never did any tuning so I am wondering how hard this is to use. My plants are to MOD the bike. I am going to change the cam, and possibly an S&S 110 kit down the road. This is why I am looking for a easy to use tuner to make tune changes as I go. Is the Dyno Jet support good when you run into questions? I have read some of the other reviews of tuners which indicate their support is very good however it appears to me the DynoJet Power Vision does more things. I just a matter if I can figure out how to use it.

    🤦‍♂️ can't believe harley would put the mono shock under the seat burying the battery even more. Bad enough they made all the soft tails beyond ugly. Oh The PV is great I just wish they gave more options for maps like the power camander v

    • @GearsGadgets
      @GearsGadgets  Před 3 lety +1

      I have no issues getting to the battery and in all reality the trade off of ride quality / suspension travel with a monoshock is far superior design from any measure of performance and ride quality standards. As far as softails now being “ugly” that is obviously completely subjective. And yes the PV is an awesome tool that changes the dynamics of the bike immediately, I dont have too much criticism on it, but I am also realistic in knowing I am only using it at a rather basic level. A professional tuner would likely have way deeper understanding to critique than I do. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the opinions for sure.

      I love people who find my old videos and offer critique. Every creator starts somewhere and it takes a ton of time to learn. I leave my old stuff up because I’m not ashamed of any of it however I find it comically trivial when people find critiquing 3 year old videos appropriate.

    No support for Mac? Wow. That’s a fail. Glad I went with the FP3. Looking forward to see how it works for you. TCRS

    • @GearsGadgets

      I agree no support for Mac sucks but I run parallels on my Mac and just load windows to use it. I like the trade off for a dedicated unit. The main reason why I prefer the Dynojet Power Vision over the FP3 is because it is a dedicated unit. I didn’t like the idea of using my phone over bluetooth for the live data. At times at overheats and shuts off, I didn’t want it to do that in the middle of an auto tune, or when I am trying to use it for the gauges on the highway. How has your experience with the FP3 been?

    • @slyguyaction

      Tech Chex & Motor Vlogs
      I’ve read you can run a program called “Boot Camp” to run Windows on a Mac also but ease of installation and a really good user interface was what steered me towards the FP3. I like being able to flash a tune to the FP3 at whim and it works really well. Customer support from V&H is another strong point. I flashed a recommended tune and it completely changed my 2015 Limited and I’m thrilled with it so far. I left the tuner plugged in and only know it’s there when I open the app to view live data but I’m glad it’ll be there if/when I go Stage 2 or 3. Keep us updated

      I was able to hear you very good and video quality was good also plus you did a great job putting it all together.
      👍👍
      Yup being not Mac compatible is sad. Though I don’t have a Mac but would like one in the near future.
      I’am in the market for something like this but was actually looking at the ThunderMax but the Rep at Fuel Moto has me thinking towards this Dynojet Power Vision and using their header pipe instead of the Rinehart Xtreme True Duals, but I do want the Rinehart 4” Mufflers and a Roland Sands Air Filter.
      If I do go with this I was wanting the Dynojet Auto Tune as well with the wide band O2 sensors. I’d like to hear if anyone has done this type of set up with these O2 sensors with the Vision on a Stage -1 set up!
      Later on I will change the cam, Cam Bearings, and Cam Plate.

      It's not a fail at all. Mac OS proliferation is around 10% of the market, and is almost non-existent in the automotive world.
      The Auto Mechanic industry runs on Windows, especially older versions. Many companies and techs still run Windows XP on their Dyno and diagnostics machines.
      And on the average, most people who have laptops are running windows laptops, and most garage computers are Windows PCs.
      So it really makes sense that this unit is Windows Only. And considering it's a Tool, not a gadget, and you're buying expensive hardware for a motorcycle, it's not that big of a deal to run down to Best Buy or snag a cheap little windows laptop off of Dell specifically for working on your bike.
      Mac OS presents many issues for a lot of people working on cars and motorcycles, so it doesn't make a lot of sense for DynoJet to produce a mac client when next to no one will be using mac for this device.

Lost The ability to use my cruise control, I didn’t realize it at first what the problem was but I reinstalled the stock map for the heck of it and my cruise control is working again??? Don't waste your money on a Dynojet Power Vision. The unit will constantly lock up and they won't do anything to fix it. Go to HDforums and check out the many complaints about their poor service.

    Before I subscribe to you channel, I went and looked at all your other videos looking for a more in-depth video on the Dynojet Powervision tuner. I didn't see one. You eluded to one as if you were going to do a video of a more detailed features 9f the Powervision tuner. That's what I'm interested in. But I was dissapointed I didn't find one on your channel. I'm doing research on the fp3 vs the Powervision. Your another content provider that seems to be afraid of Bluetooth. When does your phone ever get so hot it turns off. Mine will also but it never gotten that hot.
    And for me, you have way too much non-motorcycle content. I'm looking for a motovlogger. You are not a motovlogger. You do some motovlogging, but are not just a motovlogger. So I will not subscribe to your channel for those reasons. It's not that I don't like you as a person, you just don't have the type of content I'm looking for. I wish you well.
