Without Loreta's sharp eye, they would have been dead... the two babies had given up already that day and they were exhausted from desperate calls for their mom who never came back 😿
After the rescue, it was JoAnn Wiltz's turn to make sure these babies survive. She became their mom, and for the next 8 weeks she bottle-fed them, kept them clean and warm, and the result is just amazing! I am proud to be a monthly donor as well. I wish I could adopt all of them. I love cats so much. Each one of them with their own personalities too. I am currently a proud father to Angel (purchased from a no-kill shelter) and Rocky (stray that some how found it's way under my front door steps).
My question is how did the mom get in there to have the kittens? Hopefully, the place where she came from gets sealed for good. Great Job guys!

They said that they hadn't made a sound for 8 hours so she either got caught or sadly she could have been killed 😔, there is a lot of work we don't see but they are always thorough.
It is also possible that the mother gave birth to more and she had already moved them out of the area. She would have eventually gone back but you're right.... How did they get in there to begin with. That is a conundrum.
Mom might have gotten through roofing and gaven birth somewhere higher in the roofbeam, then kittens start to move and fall inside the walls...

I absolutely love Joanna's shirt..."the best things in life are rescued." All of my animals are rescues and that's the only requirement I have for them. So happy these kitties are safe now 💖 🐈
All of mine except two are also rescued :D. We found a two week old kitten on Halloween in 2016 meowing with no mom around, we kept him and now hes a huge cat

It would be a better world if we started saying thank you and recognizing the good around us more, instead of letting it fade away like a ghost.

@@Undomaranel Exactly people focus on the negatives instead of highlighting the positives, sadly some people love drama so the Media doesn't talk about the good deeds often. Also people complain when they see someone doing something good especially if they are rewarded for it, saying that they just done what should be natural but sadly it isn't as a lot of people wouldn't help or saying why share videos about it if it's selfless. We don't help to get a reward, just like sharing these videos isn't about highlighting the good they do it's to encourage others to help, I tell people that I donate monthly to show how easy it is as without financial help they couldn't do these incredible rescues. Hopefully one day we will see more positive things instead of trying to spread the negative news, there is a lot of wonderful people in the World but there will also always be negative people but we just need to be the louder voices & to work together to make this World a better place 💛

i found this channel probably back in like 2014; fast forward to 2021 and i'm now the mother of 3 boys. decided very recently to show them this channel and they are OBSESSED. it's all they want to watch, they now rescue their plush animals instead of the normal play they did before. i woke up the other day and they were playing "hope for legs" rescuing the spider walking around in our kitchen and setting him outside. this channel has it's own impact on people of all ages, but the message is always pure. thank you for doing what you do and inspiring my little ones.
Oh that was good to learn about sugar water given and not milk if a little one has gone without food for so long.
also the body temp had to be higher so that the milk would be digested and they would not go into shock

I'm actually a bit worried by what she said as it's contrary to what I was taught by a local rescue and from the Kitten Lady videos. You don't feed them sugar water, (it can actually be harmful), instead you give them subcutaneous fluids and you wait until they've warmed up before feeding them.

There must be some kind of an emergency measure I’m guessing for sugar water out in the field as they say when there’s no time or appropriate things needed for subcut fluids

I think maybe she abandoned them or she tried to get them out but could not so she left.
I would think mom got scared with the noise from the drilling, that one lady said they were warm maybe they were sleeping with the mom
They were wrapped up in the newspaper plus there is probably heating in the walls just because they were not freezing doesn't mean the Mum had been with them. They said they would be back so they probably checked for the Mum or how she got in when they returned, not much they could do in the middle of the night. We are only seeing part of the rescue they do a lot of work off camera, the main concern was how weak the kittens were no sounds for over 8 hours the Mum probably didn't return. Sadly she may have been killed or caught but they would have made sure to check, this video is condensed from weeks of work it says the Mum didn't return so they probably searched for her.
My highest respect to you all for helping these kitties and for the neighbors allowing it through their walls , 🇺🇲🙏❤️
