The Predator 5000 generator is great. Used it with gasoline and propane for 2 weeks. Very quiet, reliable so far, and the remote start/stop is great for RV use. I'd get another one if I needed it.

I'll get 2, maybe 3 if those Icon bar lights if available. One for my workshop, one for my toolbox that I use for little DIY tasks, and one for in my truck. No matter the job, I'm always looking for a bright light that I can set somewhere without it moving.
The linkable lights are fantastic...so bright and use little energy. I have had mine for over a year now with no issue.

Grabbed the $60 green Apache case for $30 yesterday -- perfect fir for a small stereo delay effect pedalboard I'm building. Can't do better than that!
I was waiting on those garage lights to go on sale and will be getting at least 2 or probably 3. For 25 your basically stealing from them. I have the single light above my work bench and it's very bright. Man, Harbor Freight is coming through in these hard times. Love this channel, keep it up.

Thanks for the preview. I was ticked off I got the day one email so late otherwise I would have gotten a couple of cases. Now, I am planning a few trips for the Icon gear.
One case limit... So you may have only gotten screwed out of 50% of one!
Now having bought both, I like the Braun fold-able work light better than the Icon version. The icon is brighter, but the main light is on the opposite side so switching between the two is a pain and the icon also doesn't articulate as well as the Braun.

When you said "honda has been recently caught putting plastics in their INTERNALS", I heard and TURTLES. 🤣🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ I had to rewind 4 times until my wife said "internals"? Then it made sense.
I'll also add a +1 to the Slate Grey colorway on the toolboxes. I bought my 5 drawer Series 2 during last Spring's parking lot sale and I LOVE the color.

Unless you REALLY need the 800 lumens, I’d skip the Icon light and get the Braun. For one thing, the battery in the Icon isn’t meant to be replaced. You need to take the light apart and desolder wires to replace the battery. Second, the double hinge on the Braun is far superior to the single hinge on the Icon. I own both and prefer the Braun.
Neither one of them put out the lumens they claim & that Braun is a pile of garbage. I have 2 broken ones to prove it from when they came out & everyone was going nuts over them. The hinge is a huge weak spot. Astro Pneumatic is far superior to both.
Love the braun beat em up and travel well. The pen tip light is nice when you lose the socket or wrench in no mans land
VERY NICE and Just in time, Im grabbing that led shop light. I currently have a couple of the 2 bulb version in my garage and its been great but need a bit more light now that i have more equipment.
Just picked up a couple of the 5000 lumen single bulb lights a few weeks ago. They are BRIGHT! I can't imagine how bright a couple of the 10000 lumen ones are.
I literally starting looking at the Apache 5800 carry on case last week for camera gear and boom, 50% this week. Thank you deal gods! I immediately left work and grabbed one. One of the employees said she was buying them one at a time for father's day gifts. I'm not sure how much longer they were going to have any in stock.

That floor jack is a real deal! I bought mine 2 years ago and can confirm that it’s perfect for cars like a Toyota Corolla and Camry! I don’t use it by itself of course, just to lift up the car and let it rest on the jack stands unless I get a flat tire in the middle of the road, but it’s light enough to keep it in the trunk in case of an emergency which is where I keep it, a great buy to have it in your garage or trunk!
I paid $90 for the one for the misses. It works impressively.

My store looked like Black Friday for the Apache cases! I felt so bad for the employees.. they had a pallet torn apart in the middle of the store and the rest were scattered about. I didn’t realize some stores allow you to buy more than one. I should’ve asked I would’ve got more than 1
On the snap ring pliers, the smaller set those are not including the bigger set. I have both I use both.
Wonder if they will let people order the purple 5 drawer cart in store at the sale price on Friday. They have a purple display model, but it's only been avaliable for in store order so far by me. If not I'll just wait until the June sale and hope I can get one then.... supposed to be 199, so not too much difference

Man I got to say I really am appreciative of the fact that you went over the leaked emails I've been using Harbor Freight generators for years one of my 3500 has thousands I repeat thousands of hours on it and I wanted to upgrade because I use it every weekend out on the road and so I went ahead and purchased the 5000 W predator and $300 off is totally unheard of so it really was a great deal love the channel keep up the good work.
The icon slim light has poor battery life.I've got one used it quite often.I know people with it.For some reason the battery life does not last like the other brand And it also is not an easy replaceable battery.The battery has a electrical lead on it that is sorted
Yeah, I like the newer (improved) Braun version better.
I bought that 1.5 ton jack a few years ago to lift the back of my riding mower when servicing the tires or greasing the axles.
I used to just lift the mower onto a cement block by myself, but I am WAY too old to be doing that crap anymore. Lol.

Iv had 2 bauer washers and both had issues 😔 kept popping a seal from the pressure ...really wish it had a better design for that problem
try using a fatter seal for more pressure. glue it with RTV would be the last ditch effort
It will lift one wheel of your truck off the ground enough to change a flat. I wouldn't trust it for anything more but it will do it. I have a Nissan NPR that's a 11000 pound vehicle. And it lifts one wheel up.

I've already bought 3 icon flashlights. I use them every single day. I also keep losing them. Make sure to grab it off the frame where you were working!
I have been using another brand of generator of another brand with remote start for 5 years. The reason for buying, my wife. We are elderly and having to get up and go outside to start the generator wasn’t something she enjoyed doing. All she has to do is push a button. The other nice feature is the coffee pot automatically start too. Fresh coffee when we get up.
Those 10,000 linkable LED shop lights are freaking awesome at $56. I just bought three of them two of them on sale for $40 and other at full price. At $25 you are stupid not to buy them.😂
reviews say they get hot, so its not that great
@@eksine I wouldn’t know I never touched them. They’re up in the ceiling of my garage. I don’t feel the heat standing underneath them. Also, some LEDs do get hot because they have to produce a lot of power. That’s why LED headlights have fans on them or fins to help dissipate the heat.
I just bought that pressure washer a couple of weeks ago. Worked great for I needed. My gas one is getting tired after letting family/friends borrow and probably beat the crap out of it. This is staying with me.
Just about everything I lend out comes back in a condition I would never ever get it to myself. Ladders, shop lights, cameras, even shovels. It’s like they use everything as a hammer.
I’m real hesitant nowdays even with close friends. Sometimes if there’s a request to borrow stuff, I’ll make sure to demonstrate exactly how carefully I treat the stuff, so they see that they should probably try to be careful as well.
I’ll be dramatic about it too, when I’m doing that. LOL
Just a couple days ago I gave my neighbor some 5-5-3 garden soil so he could start his garlic. When I handed the (blue Lowe’s bucket with orange Home Depot lid) bucket over the fence to him, and said “use as much as you want. Take all of it if you can. That would actually help if you used it all because when I get the bucket back from you I’m going to wash it out and use it for storing dog toys out back over there” and I gently rested the bucket on the back of my hand on top of the fence so he could see that I didn’t want it damaged.
Sometimes you just need to show people how you want your things treated so it clicks in their mind that it isn’t being loaned out because you don’t care about it.
Now, I know its just a bucket and I don’t REALLY really care about it, but I felt it was necessary to illustrate that I didn’t want him to kick the crap out of it and forget about it and eventually throw it out to the curb.
It’s only like ten bucks but when I’m here looking at saving ten bucks on a set of screwdrivers, ten bucks is ten bucks! LOL
The Icon Light is a good buy at $20 but it does not have a replaceable battery like the Braun. Just something you keep in mind. I prefer the Braun since the head can be moved in multiple directions. In addition, the light is placed under the head making it more versatile than the Icon. With that being said, for $20 i will pick another Icon up.
I'm torn about the mechanics cart. It may be even less than what I paid for mine 3 black Fridays ago. For $189 I'm tempted to pick up another. The only thing I don't like about it is the new full length latches. My 3 year old cart latches with authority. The new ones are uncomfortable to me and they don't seem to want to latch properly. The floor model I tested I actually had to push it to get it to click shut. I could only get a red one before but I'd love a sexy new purple or green one. Just not sure if the latch needs to be broken in or what the deal is.

I was at my HFT at opening time, and took the limit of 3 Icon lights. Which was exactly how many the store had. I got mine, plus the 3 free gifts (I love the magnet bars) but really, when you have ONE ITEM on sale per day, try to have more than ONE CUSTOMER's worth of them in stock per store. Total lack of marketing skill to not have at least an endcap full of them, or a pallet of them. One pegboard hanger of them that's almost empty is a pathetic showing.
That shelving unit is the bomb. I have three. Will grab at least two.
I'm an old geezer. Light is premium in my shop. Currently have six single 'bulb' four footers. Thinking I might hafta go get four of those lights. Having 40K lumens as opposed to 18K sounds pretty tasty to me. I can then park the singles (@ 3K each) directly over benches and immobile tools (table saw, arm saw, etc).

Got my 2 sets of shelves this AM at 8. They were not up front and the employees had to be schooled about the deal... I probably won't get another deal as we r flying to graduation... no bags. Maybe I could squeeze in snap ring plier set but they will probably not let them on the plane...😢 And there's 10 stores near enough to get to where we are going... 2 very close.

Honda is definitely not getting out of the small engine game. I don't know about the outdoor power equipment area, but they are dominating the dirt bike racing industry right now.
I actually wrote to the company to say that they have the times listed incorrectly on their website. Instead of using EST they should be using EDT because we are at DAYLIGHT time not standard time. I don't think they really got it.
I’ve noticed that most people these days have given up on the whole daylight time versus standard time and just call it EST or PST

That 5 drawer tool cart is far from a sale, when I bought mine they were $190. $280 is ridiculous. Should have bought 2 when I bought mine and did the double stack mod LOL.
My guy it’s called inflation… remember when mcchickens were $1? Now they’re $3. Remember when gas was ~$2.5? Now it’s ~$4…. Also that 5 drawer cart is a new version, slight improvements and has black instead of chrome. Etc etc etc. they liquidated their old version not too long ago for $199, which is the one you have more than not. So $190 is a damn steal in today’s economy. It’s never dropped below $200 before, so if you’re up for saving $10 then that’s fine by me.

Be careful with the 5000 generator. Especially with a 50a rv. A 50a rv could draw 12,000 watts though unlikely. This generator claims to be 5000 starting watts, ie the spec that lies! Reading the description, you see that the running watts is 3900 watts. If you run two ACs, not much left afterwards. Good value at $800? Probably. Just don’t be fooled.

Love your channel and I'm a fan of the value @ Harbor Freight. Honda isn't going anywhere. Google "Who is largest maker of internal combustion engines in the world?" and Honda will come up as your winner. Every small engine manufacture is using plastic in the crankcase these days and Honda is no exception. All the copy cat Chinese small engines are based off the design and castings from a proven Honda GX design, and you can thank Honda for making that copied design so robust and reliable.
Honda may have shut down walk behind mower production in the US, but that doesn't mean they are getting out of the ICE business here. Sure this is a US based channel with mostly US based subs, but Honda's business is global and that market is still fruitful for them. I'm all about the value of HFT, but I'm also all about the solid, reliable engineering behind a product and I'm not afraid to spend more money for that.
The Predator product has made strides, but it's NOT a Honda.
According to the Honda service reps I talk to Honda, isn't Honda anymore. I don't fanboy on this channel nor do I just talk about of my backside. When I say something it's because I have sources to back it up. But if we want to spitball stuff consider this. Why would Honda give up on lawnmowers but stick with generators? The lawnmower market is exponentially larger than power equipment.
@@denoftools I understand the here-say, but don’t openly say Honda is getting out ICE until you get it in writing.
OPE is heavily influenced by buying decisions sure, but it’s actually governed by EPA. As you’re aware, EPA rules for small engines have drastically changed in the past 10 years. That is the main reason Honda got out of walk behind mowers in the US.
Honda makes Lipo powered OPE in many other markets outside of the US. It’s possible this may come stateside at some point.
Honda is the largest ICE engine maker in the world and will continue to be so, but they also have committed to carbon neutrality by 2050, so at some point the wind down has to start.
