    This is by far the best solo in the history of music in my opinion, David Gilmour pours so much emotion with his guitar that it litterally speaks to your soul, close your eyes and you'll feel like you're floating.
    Stratocasters were created by man and God created David Gilmour to play it. Nothing can touch this emotion high.

  • @Drinckx2
    @Drinckx2 Před 3 lety +28

    An excellent lesson about music is present in David Gilmour's playing. Not just here but in pretty much all his playing. There is nothing flash, no shred, it is all about feel and emotion. The best guitar solo in music history is technically simple but very difficult at the same time because anyone trying to emulate it would have to match his ability to take six strings and a plank of wood and bend those notes as he does and demonstrate the same taste and emotional feeling. And very few players can do that.

    I was kinda young, and I was at this concert! And this solo was literally HISTORICAL! The COLOSSAL, EXTREMELY MASSIVE, REALLY IMPOSING, AND EPIC PINK FLOYD MACHINE! ... Phenomenal! Everyone was speechless at the end of this solo. We were all high on emotion and completely blown away, really. This concert was really impressive and imposing; the stage was just ... HUGE!!! At the end of the concert, we all were looking at the stage, trying to keep and bring all those fantastic and incredible "Pink Floyd feelings" with us. It was literally a unique and fantastic journey. It's "printed" in my brain for the rest of my life.

    The entire Pulse Concert is breathtaking and I would urge you, for yourself, to watch it. Do each song in order of the concert. One of the best concerts you will ever watch in your life. If you don’t wish to do it in order, and you were so obviously moved by Comfortably Numb (as we all are....it brings many to tears because of its sheer beauty) then I would say watch Sorrow from the same concert. To my mind, equally powerful and moving.

      As an employee, I had the opportunity to see all the shows and hockey games presented at the Forum.
      So I had the chance to see Queen, Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa, Moody Blues, The Woo, Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Supertramp, Nazareth, and many more, plus countless of hockey games. In an interview released in the 80s, Waters said that much of the song comes from something that really happened one evening when, in order to allow him to perform in Philadelphia, the doctor gave him a sedative for a severe stomach ache, which had probably caused by nerves. On the stage, his hands were numb and his vision blurred, but none of this derailed the crowd, who continued to dance and sing. And it was out of this that one of the main themes of The Wall came about: the disconnect between the public and the band.
    “That was the longest two hours of my life, trying to do a show when you can hardly lift your arm.

    I live in New Jersey only about 18 miles from New York City. When I was in my early 20s, my friends and I would drive into the city to Hayden Planetarium for the Pink Floyd Lazer Light show, which was INCREDIBLE. We'd smoke a dooby in the parking lot, then go in, kick back and look up at the Lazer light show above us in the planetarium, that went along with their entire album, which was playing. What a great time 🙌 Great memories.

    i am new to this channel, and don't know if you have reacted to Pink Floyd before, but if not, you get extra credit points for not interrupting pink floyd. normally reactors get comments by us fans about the Mortal Sin of interrupting Pink Floyd, so if you received any negative comments about stuff here, you got extra credit to wipe that stuff away lolol

    What's great about David Gilmour is that he could probably shred his solos, but that just wouldn't fit. As great as he is, with their style of music, putting emotion into and bleeding every note out perfectly is what makes him greater than most.

    Gotta say i hate when people put on a video version and then close their eyes and miss half of the effects the lighting adds to the great guitar work. Enjoy the music, but see it through the people at the concert.

    that isn't, actually, the whole solo. it was originally 1min 10secs longer, but was edited for the video. if anyone wants to see the whole thing, it is on youtube. the HD PINK FLOYD video is the best. it has a split screen, with a double shot of the concert

    Saw this 5 times. outside was even better. needed FAA clearance for the lasers. 200 ton stage, 200,000 watts of power. 4 sets of 32 speakers. neede to watch the final song run like hell ) ,they use ALL the 200,000 watts and a few fireworks, even inside. If you want to hear just the guitar without the big production . David Gilmours " Live at Pompeii" 85 million views the best I have ever heard him play. guarantee will blow your away.

Anyways I've been fan of pink floyd forever even went to a concert at the Hollywood bowl, year's later I'm seeing this and realize they have their special effects to look like a UFO. this makes a lot of sense to me now. Promise you I'm not crazy lol

    The one band I really would live for you to react to is Roachford. They're an English band and so amazing. Lay Your Love On Me is so worthy of a reaction.
