    I didn't even give the percussion grooves the time of day with this library, but the way that you made them work goes HARD. Enjoyed watching, thanks!

    It is quite amazing how groups of sounds, sample packs, and specific libraries can inspire a feeling or track. By contrast given an almost unlimited palette of native instruments sounds and I can’t think of a thing to write!. Your track did make me think of the Drake’s Fortune series of games, think mystery, ancient treasure, jungle adventures and black magic. A great sound with only 8 tracks. I have at last purchased the Meyer Felt and it is also inspiring mainly, in my view, because there is a limited palette which locks me into a particular mood and pushes me to experiment more. Cheers.

      Thanks, Simon. Best of luck in your writing endeavors. Amazing how limitations help ignite our creativity.

      "Limited means gives impetus to creation, extension leads the arts to decadence" - George Braque. Another common problem today is that many people confuse creativity with the process of selection. And choosing a sound or a loop is certainly not the same as making one.

    I really appreciate you going over the sections individually! So helpful to see the full library before purchasing. Thank you!!!

    You inspire me so much! I think I've watched all your video in the last three or four months. That video what was I needed to get me compose. I had a mood in mind but I wasn't sure how to compose it. I've just followed your workflow while I was watching with my own libraries (Damage 2 and LABS). Creating a bed of percussion groove. Adding melodies in a more modal way and creating conterpoints. I realized that I love composing that style of organic texturish music. It's really a fun style to explore and you helped me so much inspiring me !

    A library I have wanted since it came out and have finally got on a Black Friday deal. Just wanted to check out your take on it so late to the party but really enjoyed this vid thanks. I'll be mixing with live acoustic instruments and some of the Eduardo Tarilonte libraries which I love. Thanks for posting.

    Brilliant stuff, Jon. You should do this with some other libraries - although you look pretty much at home with the British folk tradition right there in Solstice. You could come over to Scotland and do some traditional music festivals with material like this.

    Wow, nice melody you did, the percussions surprised me too. I wanted to ask, if within percussion, there is an approach to make epic music, timpani sounds and things like that?. That library is a good option to make epic music right?. If I'm wrong, could you suggest another one? I'm inspired to make music like Audiomachine, thank you

    Fantastic video...I'll probably add this to my albion collection! Side note...what video editing software do you use? I'm curious how you got that blending effect with your camera and daw screen recording!😀

    • @louisnadeau1
      @louisnadeau1 Před rokem

      Maybe I am really late to respond to this as I am not the author. But you can do this with any video editing software (da vinci, premiere pro, final cut) They all have some kind of editing tool to cut/mask/crop. And then you can adjust the softness of that mask/crop around your video :)

    Like you say, you always have to be careful using really distinctive parts. I often recognise library sounds in scores I hear now

    Just wondering if you tried the Cassette Orchestra? I found that if you change ANY control in the EDNA engine then EVERY control moves while attempting to blow up your speakers and your ears! A pretty serious bug. There are others too. Seriously peed off with this right now. Look forward to hearing your experience.
