Agreed, what a great season. 1979 was probably my favorite season ever. '78 gets the nod as the best postseason, but what fun the '79 regular season was. Not their best team, but so many memorable games. Great defense, high-powered offense, crazy finishes, turnovers, touchdowns, great rivalry games with the Browns, Cowboys and Oilers. Loved every minute of it.
Both Bradshaw and Harris in their prime ... just exquisite. One of Bradshaw's best games in my opinion, he looked as sharp as I've ever seen and (as Mean Joe Greene would put it) "in the zone".
Agreed, Bradshaw put on a clinic in the first half. He was unstoppable. Cooled off in the 2nd half, but the weren’t really throwing much. Then threw a couple more back breakers on that final marathon drive. Probably most devastating was his play calling. The Browns were on their heels defensively the entire game. Great stuff.
I LOVE this run, especially because its IN Cleveland, on their Field. But my all time Favorite is still Blier , up the gut," icould feel the wind in my hair" gash run..also in Cleveland! Man ,we were blessed in Pittsburgh in the 70' s.......except Steel was fading away......😕
And to think I once attempted to tackle Franco instead of just trying to trip him. It didn't hurt to have a locomotive in the backfield when winning 4 Super Bowls. Nice work with the video Wife and McMillen
This was a wild one. Steelers were up 28-0 then Cleveland started going crazy passing. Steelers won a rare shootout 51-35.
Sure did Hate the Browns back in these days. Awesome footage 👏 👏👍👍
Rest In Power, Franco. You were a powerful running back.
The great Don Criqui doing the play by play. Final year of the Steeler Super Bowl era and it was a great one.

RIP Franco. I was in the army as a child.

Steelers offense line so underated

The Steelers had a great run offensive line. I must have seen the game back then, don't remember though.
