There needs to be a mod that adds these two as characters in Skyrim and they sing they’re Skyrim songs. They should be able to travel with you and sing during battles and sing of the tales of the Dragonborn. I would put that mod at the top of my load order faster than my arrow piercing Alduin’s scales.

Brings me back to when I first heard Malukah’s voice. I had started playing Skyrim for the first time and causally mentioned that I hadn’t taken a side in the civil war. That began an 80 something long comment thread between Imperial and Storm Cloak supporters. That’s the ultimate mix of geek and politics.

Jokes aside, I chose the stormcloaks for a simple reason I played Oblivion, the blades are my homies and the empire sold 'em out and we were left with the two stooges.

Truly beautiful, Malukah and Peter Hollens always make such a complimentary pair in music. Is it strange I teared up a bit? Skyrim is my safe place and place to escape (as weird as it sounds) part of that is thanks to the music, and hearing this just makes me feel like I'm on a high peak overlooking a valley of Skyrim. I only started playing the Elder Scroll series last October (I'm talking almost 1,000 hours of playtime here 🤣🤣🤣), but I absolutely love playing Skyrim and I just got both Oblivion and Morrowind just a few days ago. The Dragonborn song has always been one of my favorite songs to listen and sing to. I first heard it back in 2013, Malukah's version and your collaboration with Lindsey Stirling as well, and at the time I didn't know what the frak it was but I still loved it a LOT!!

Skyrim is one of the best games ever. Bethesda poured so many details into the game (500 unique books anyone?) and the soundtrack is no exception. The songs are already incredible, but Peter Hollens and Malukah make them come alive.

This song was a small detail in the game, but for me it was one of the absolute most satisfying details! I had just spent hours and hours focused on the main quest, defeated Alduin, and went back to my Lakewood home feeling tired and in need of an extended multi-day rest. And what do I hear when I arrive but my bard singing this wonderful song? Ah, so satisfying! I love this rendition, everything you guys do is great and I'm really happy you went back to Skyrim for this song. Thanks!

Damnit. The battle of Sovngard and the grief of the dragons makes me cry every time I finish that quest line. This song perfectly reflects that conflicting feeling of happiness and grief I get from the game.
