Security guards aren't paid enough to deal with wolves, acid spitting dinosaurs or Rick

Believe it or not. Those who are smart enough to avoid certain death thourgh hazards are the ones that are the real skillers. Not the second class superheroes that are beaten up, molten to a puddle or worse by Rick.
@@michaelbanton4605 Unless we're armed guard (and even a lot of times then), we're just kinda taught to deescalate and to leave if it gets violent. We're mostly there to observe, report, and be a detergent.
I don't think Marvin is cowardly, I just think that he, y'know, is a sane and rational person. An unarmed security guard is not qualified to fight an acid spitting sea monster.

@@sergioplazat3995 A security guard isn't a cop, and will generally be unarmed.
Security guards generally aren't allowed to, or intended to, stop anything forcibly, when it involves lethal force. There are some exceptions, like money truck guards, but it's generally a universal rule.
They exist to kick people out of places they shouldn't be, maybe detain them, and keep track of who's breaking the rules/law on the property. Not fight every comer.
Besides, are you telling me if you _maybe_ had a baton, you'd be willing to fight a wolf, acid sitting sea monster, or Rick Sanchez?

@@sergioplazat3995 He clearly isn't carrying a weapon. This isn't a book, it's an animation, and we see pretty much every face of the guy. And those faces have no weapons. Not one rifle, not one pistol, nothing. It's armour with a spandex underlay, there's no concealing equipment.

This one along with the story train episode which sort of acts as part 1 to this. They even do a Bechdel Test joke in that one. They really do cover a lot of common meta tropes.

You need a high IQ to understand this level of writing. If your IQ is arounda whopping 90 (like mine) that's when you are truly smart enough to understand the thought process and hours upon hours of genius hard work out into the show.

Rick and Morty is the only show that can write meta commentary on superheroes? Man do I have news for you.
Probably the most dangerous one out of this group was in fact flashback, he quite literally establishes canon and could reveal all the reasons of rick.

I’m not sure why Protago-Nick was such a threat in the first place, since Rick is already the protagonist. Or maybe his worry was *Morty* being made the protagonist.
The show is called Rick AND Morty, and they both share the title of protagonist (though I'd say Morty holds it more often than not). Now, the one who gets protagonisted will probably be fine... but what will happen to the other one while their plot armor is gone?
There is no difference between being on screen and being dead in that world. Until you are observed on screen you don't exist at that moment. We can infer what was happening if they cut back to them but because it's a show written by real people, and Rick is written to lowkey know he's a cartoon, Rick knows that he literally does not exist unless he's on screen.
The show is called RIck and Morty. It's not called Marvin the Cowardly Security Guard. Until it was. And not Rick and Morty anymore.

I'm glad that Marvin's okay. He's a good husband and dad and his wife and baby deserve him. Also he keeps on trying even though he keeps failing. That's more that can be said for most people including myself.
So now Rick is literally fighting the story itself. What is meant to happen and how it will happen. If he achieves this kind of power, he can be a literal god whose word is will.

One of the best episodes ever, and it wasn't even a canon fueled episode. This season, is shaping up to be the best of the series. And here I thought Rick and Morty was gonna die out being the "show that could've been".
The writers just showed us, that they can go anywhere with the story now. Thats what's making the Rick & Morty show so special. This is one of the best episodes in the entire series so far...

Wow, this is some deep Deep. the parody, the characterizations, the imagery, everything is layered thicker than a Dagwood Sandwich at some point there will be a required app to watch RnM in order to contextualize the story on the screen so everyone can follow along and be on the same page for the next season's episodes.

This season is really good
2 good episodes, Dinosaur episode and first episode. 2, 3 and 4 are garbage. 5 is okay. 7 is okay minus.

@@charliemackovas I guess it does. I'm torn between thinking screaming "die hard die hard" 1000 times is the worst, or the entire premise of Night Family, which was boring throughout the entire run.
Or Beth hooking up with Beth, which was interesting for a whole 2 minutes, and lasted the entire episode.
@@ParleLeVu I thought of it like this. They were unable to use portal travel for some time, so as a result they were bottled up. We got SO many bottle episodes in a row, and some people can only enjoy that format for so long. I love bottle episodes on the other hand. I think it allows a larger area of growth for characters to develop, and we definitely did get some character development across the first half of the season. I also loved Night Family! I thought it was so cool that they did a horror episode, it felt VERY different. It's an all timer for me.
Episode two die hard, die hard had me cracking up. Haha.
@@charliemackovas I don't get what was fun about the Die Hard episode. I've seen all the movies. The first two several times. And got most of the references, but I didn't get what was funny or interesting? The subplot of Morty splitting up was more annoying than interesting.
Also Night Family, I've watched it again and it's better than Die Hard and Beth's selfcest, I'll give it that. Perhaps on the level of the fortune cookie episode.
I loved the first episode, and was hoping for more of Rick Prime, but alas. The dino episode was a bit cool. It had it's moments. Ep 7 was full of content, so I can respect that. It just wasn't for me. I consume a lot of movies and series, but I never really wanted to spend time learning the different narrative concepts. So the characters Brett Con, Connie Nuityerror etc didn't really give me much. I loved the start of ep 7, but as it progressed I found it weaker and weaker, sadly. Mind you, I thought the train "meta"-episode was pretty boring. I don't care about meta about story telling devices.

This episode is clever and has decent replay value because some of the jokes can easily go over your head if you’re weren’t paying attention the first time watching. I also notice the pacing of this episode feels quicker which gives it a refreshing quality in comparison to past episodes.
