  • I'm pleased to share this video project of a beautiful morning departure taken from a Hawker (Beechjet) 400A, Las Vegas to Santa Ana. Aviation CZcamsr Ryan Bomar and I had the opportunity to try this empty leg via the Jet Smarter app which is known as the "Uber" of private jets. You can see his experience on this flight and other awesome content on / ryanbomar
This is also one of the few flights left before this plane sheded the older JT15D engines for the 'Nextant 400XT' upgrade. Flight data is as follows:
    Company: Kingstone Aviation
    Aircraft: Raytheon Beechjet 400A
    Reg: N400KP
    MFR Year: 2001
    Route: LAS - SNA
    Date: 1/27/2018
Enjoy the sights and sounds of this awesome little jet. Thanks to the following parties for the flight accomodations:

RyanBomar Thanks! It really was an awesome day. Documenting any engine starting with “JT” is definitely necessary.

For some reason I really enjoy Beechjet 400A / Hawker 400 XP series aircraft. Small but kind of large enough to accomodate up to 7-8 pasaangers, compact functional interior, love this old school cockipts from 90's and of course the engines! Very nice video among others also very nice of course as for you and Ryan Bommar also very interesting videos. Greetings from Croatia

Hey, thanks for stopping by and watching! Much appreciated. You can't beat the older steam gauges from these older aircraft. A whole different breed of flying :)

we have this plane in our school in the hangar, pretty fun to play around with, inspect and perform mechanical training.

    The buzz saw sounds cool

It's so high pitch I'm not sure it even counts as a buzzsaw!

As usual I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Quick Question ~ With state of the art glass cockpit touch screens we see in a modern day cockpit why do pilots still use mobile devices? It can't be because there isn't enough hard drive/memory storage. You also see these devices in some brand new airliners; relatively speaking. The cockpit in this jet is a little dated so I can understand why they're being used. Enlighten Me.... =)

Eric Lozen Thanks for stopping by and watching! I think the mobile devices are primarily used for flight charts in place of the paper ones. They can also access their clearance Delivery on the mobile devices as well I believe.

@@LoveJT8D Thanks for the feedback. I've heard from a few sources that future commercial air travel could possibly be conducted with one pilot and ultimately no one at the controls. It's difficult to grasp that concept. There are so many scenarios that could happen that could end with disastrous results. Single pilot scenario #1 for example: the pilot becomes totally incapacitated due to a medical condition .There are a number of light class corporate jets now in operation that are single pilot certified.
