- About a year behind posting this video. What an amazing experience it was to fly the Sukhoi Super Jet for the first time. As I live in Los Angeles, the start up of TIJ-HMO with this aircraft seemed like a no-brainer to catch a flight. Airfares were very reasonable and the flight crews were very nice, professional, and inviting. Not to mention Hermosillo has some very cool sights downtown if you have the chance to take a taxi around the city. Also, the Cross Border Express made transitioning from the US into the TIJ airport a breeze. I highly recommend it. Hope you enjoy the beautiful sights of the Sonoran desert. I once thought that this ssj 100 aircraft would be popular in the west as well for being a reasonably priced Regional Jet. Lately I have read where Parts have become difficult to obtain from UAC. I always thought this could be a problem because although Russia is capable of building great airplanes they don't seem to have a capacity for making additional parts. I hope that UAC can fix this problem so that Interjet does not have to cannibalize parts for other aircraft and that they can keep their Fleet of the Super Jet propulsion 100 flying as it seems to be a very good aircraft. Thanks very much for watching and glad you liked the video. From what I understand, this particular bird went to storage and very well could be a "parts" aircraft. Last I heard Interjet is eventually getting rid of the SSJ-100 fleet. It would be nice to see them stick around. Seemed like a solid aircraft.
they are up to 28 planes a year in 2018. as production volumes rise hopefully parts backlog will get cleaned up. good thing these birds don't nose-dive crash. these parts hickups is maybe alright so long as everybody arrives safe and on time.

Awesome video! Very rare to see and even fly on this aircraft. Kudos for making that trip to Mexico to capture and experience this moment. I kind of want to make a trip myself being that I live in San Diego.
Bryan Miranda Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. I think Interjet pulled the SSJ from the TIJ - HMO route but I’m pretty sure the SSJ is still flying to select cities from Mexico City.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. I can tell you that HMO & TIJ airports including the Cross Border Express were all positive experiences. I had an awesome cab driver show me all over downtown HMO while burning time before my return flight and was an amazing experience.

I wish the SSJ wasn't becoming a problem for Interjet. People are mostly saying that maintenance issues have been a burden to keep up with.

I heard interjet is actually dropping most of the super jets. My cousins works there with planning and says those plane are a headache to keep flying because of maintenance issues.
seymore butts That’s sad to hear. Especially with such a technologically advanced aircraft. From a passenger experience, it was really nice to fly on. I was hopeful it would help make the crj-200 even more obsolete 😁
@@LoveJT8D They should've gone for Bombardier's C-series or at least the E2. Superjet is cheaper, sure, but Russia has not made aircraft for a while and there are glaring issues with the aircraft.

Pretty close. Definitely a fan of these more spacious regional jets with seats in 2-2 configuration.
A220 was an answer to SSJ. SSJ came first.

@@toriyshaov2245 Not really. There was just a need for a more spacious regional jet, and Bombardier thought so too. SSJ was never a threat to Bombardier or Embraer. It is a Russian plane and it's safety issues already have made it less popular now.
