I will win and 5 4 1.. those songs are my fav but every single one off that original rock album are just straight bangers. Ranger fan or not. Everyone gets down with them.
Its crazy that this man and Shuki Levi created compilated songs for some the biggest franchises. Spider-Man, X-Men, Digimon, Power Rangers. The 90s era will always be my favorite.
What Digimon? The original show (English version) is great! I didn't know about that. In fact, I didn't even want to watch Digimon! Mainly because they had cancelled my show...Beast Machines and put on Digimon. Plus, at first, it was too kiddie for me. But the episodes got better, and once you got use to the kids,...it actually wasn't a bad show after all (I mean for the original series, and for the second group of kids, like Davis , Ken ECT) but after that group, I didn't like any other Digimon. I also got the series when the original kids were about 17 in highschool, that's was good too.
Andre, thanks for the interview man, Ron's an awesome guy. I emailed him back in 2004 to ask about MMPR music and he took the time to respond and send me a little something for writing him a nice email. Later on when he did his remixes on Bandcamp of MMPR and other songs I sent a message telling him that there were some fans who appreciated his music and would take the time to pay for it as well, he again being the gentleman he is took the time to respond personally and thanked me for it and asked how I was doing. He's one of the kindest, genuine people I've spoken to over the years and is a true talent. My favs of his MMPR music: Go Green Ranger Go, Fight, Rangers in Space Theme, SPD Theme, Tenga Bye-Bye, just to name a few (I love them all personally).
Ron Wasserman IS Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I had the “A Rock Adventure” cassette as a kid and wore it out 😂 So glad he was able to score the special.
Come on Hasbro! Ron says he's up for more! Even if it's just more opening themes, I can guarantee the fans are gonna be super down for more of his amazing music, especially since we haven't had an opening that's been genuinely loved since Dino Charge
"We Need A Hero" is such an empowering song. I loved that you guys talked about it. This interview rocked. And a new Power Rangers series with Ron's music....YES PLEASE.
This was such a great interview! Ron Wasserman is an amazing composer and it was great to hear how he create such awesome songs! I'm so glad you were able to interview him, Andre ^^
I Will Win is still my favorite song of his. It's touching that the meaning behind the song for him is the same for me, meaning I will accomplish my goals and get past any obstacles. Perfect work out song
Words cannot describe how happy I was watching this. I listen to these songs so often its like the soundtrack of my life. Not a lot of media is capable of bringing me to tears but songs like Hope for the World and We Need A Hero, I Will Win, Fight 5-4-1, Unite fill me with such intense emotion. Makes me wanna get up and fight anything the world brings to me. Rons work on X-Men, DBZ, Powerrangers, The Batman, Dino Squad and so many others bring such joy to my life and hes literally in my top 5 musical artists. The Mighty RAW will forever be king. Rock On Ron!
His songs added so much the the power rangers series and always got me full of energy. I still jam out to those songs to this day, I use them in the gym all the time!
My favorite will always be "We Need A Hero" and I love the origin and meaning behind it. Love 'Hope For The World' too, was a amazing addition to the Turbo Movie along with it's theme at the time.
You ask such excellent questions during your interview, Andre. It’s so amazing that the same person who composes such iconic songs for ‘Power Rangers’ is also the one responsible for the main theme for the ‘90s ‘X-Men’ cartoon. Goodness! Golly! Gracious! Gosh! I loved the part about ‘VR Troopers’ as well! I definitely still think about various songs from that time of my life. “Go Go Power Rangers” is my favorite theme for a television series ever.
Andre seeing you and Ron together was so freaking cool! I’m so glad you got the opportunity to do this interview! This was an awesome watch! Congrats! 🙌🏻 I still sing we need a hero all the time too hahaha!
Great you got to interview Ron Wasserman! One of the highlights of MMPR was his soundtrack/score for the show. I had the “Rock Adventure” album on cassette back in the day and 20 years later upgraded to CD. I think this is was got me into rock music later on! 😊🎸
Wow that’s amazing! I Will Win is a bar song? Just incredible! This was a very cool interview! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Cheers for 30 years of wonderful music from the one and only Ron Wasserman!
This man is such a legend, his work so iconic. So awesome to hear him still out there doing his thing and being just as awesome literal decades later. Amazing.
“Fight!” Is that one song I tend to go back to a lot. It really inspires me to keep pushing toward despite the turbulence that comes my way. Ron is such a talented composer and I’m so glad they brought him back for the special.
Great interview/video its just always great to hear these perspectives of production, the music in the special was great and hopefully it's not the last time we hear Ron's music in a PR related project
Great interview Andre!!! Ron is one of those guys I like to see speak on his experience because he embraced his part in ranger lore. The songs are iconic!!!!! Awesome job
Awesome interview! Always loved the music in Power Rangers, still blasts A Rock Adventure and Redux once in a while to get a quick heavy Power Rangers fix, Ron Wasserman is the man, thanks for this! Cheers to 30 years of Power Rangers!
Tipper Gore in the 90s was a big deal with music censorship and Power Rangers was hugely controversial with soccer moms and shit. Oh how times have changed.
Yeah, I remember the attack on music, but funny that Power Rangers music was also involved LOL! But then again, Saturday Morning Cartoons were similarly attacked at that time, supposedly one of the number of reasons those blocks ended on network TV.
So recently I learned that the Green Ranger theme was actually used for the Cybertron pilot before being used for the Green Ranger, would've loved to hear whether or not that timeline adds up since I can't find exact dates but I'm pretty sure that pilot was produced before it was ever used in the show.
Great to hear from the legendary Ron Wasserman. Shows how much the music industry in kids shows has devolved from such great times due to whiny soccer Moms who can't raise their kids right.
When I saw zack morph at the cemetery my first thought was " wow not only is he Morphing but his suit Automatically plays the MMPR theme from his playlist". Gave me a good laugh for a few minutes. Made me think about the people who go to a gym and set up a playlist before a workout.
I'm just imagining like if there is a new PR series (Main TV Series depends on the sentai adaption they're choosing) or the beginning of the PRCU (Netflix) I want Ron to compose it the music background and the theme song (especially release the TV version and the full version)😁😁
The crazy thing is I always like the songs I’d sing them wish I could get those tracks I think I’d record them from my tape player back in the day classic ❤
I just watched this video, and it was awesome. I will say that I understand why some songs were changed to become more light-hearted, but it really depends on how one looks at them: Fight in Ron's own words were making something of himself, and in my personal opinion, it also means your friends are going to be there for you when it counts. This doesn't necessarily mean fight literally, but it means your fighting to get out of a bad situation. Combat is pretty much the same, although if you really pay attention it also means facing your own fears that will use various kinds of warfare to bring you down i. e. emotional and psychological. I think it was most parents were more cautious of the violence their kids got from it. I'm a 40-year old visually impaired adult, and being visually-impaired has given me a better perception of things, so I know there's going to be more to something than what's on the surface. When your a young child, your impressionable, and the fighting imprints on you., so you have to be wise enough to understand the difference.
I remember, back in the day, having my mind blown that all the scenes weren't filmed in the US with the MMPR cast. I had no idea it was spliced with Japanese footage. Also, the original Rita Repulsa was gorgeous 😍
Great interview! Its funny to hear that producers didnt want to have an energetic sound to their show and saying it doesnt work when its been proven that it has an influence. After all, it got the Clintons talking! 😂
I didn't know he did the VR Troopers theme but I'm also not shocked. I didn't even like VR Troopers and STILL sing that song to myself every time someone mentions VR. Lol. He's right, he really was blessed with being so catchy and rockin so hard. I listen to his Redux album like, casually LOL. All the time, and I always wish there was more! All the love to this man. He rocked my childhood, he rocks my life. ⚡️
I thought it was awesome as a kid i loved power rangers but i moved to anime and but this special reminded me how much i loved power rangers and it was emotional for me and Jason David Frank being gone i really felt it when watching this😢
Kinda, yea. I’ve seen a lot of, I guess hardcore Ranger fans complain about them being strange/niche choices but I mean c’mon, who was watching PR for the daily monsters, they were all disposable characters.
Rock music works for everything. Ron has created music that generations Power Rangers, X-men and so on. That still stands the test of time. And I hope it goes to series, I would love to see the dino powers, thunder power and ninja powers that are slight changes. Even Bulk and Skull in the Orange and Purple with the Rangers. Zordon to return maybe as his own white Ranger. Maybe animated and do MMPR and TMNT 87 or with Justice League with Netflix why not. I think MMPR is the most iconic, do something more with it.
Next MMPR special I'd love to see INSPECTOR GADGET team up with the MMPR to take on Lord Zedd AND MAD/DR. CLAW. Let's GO! GO! GO MMPR& INSPECTOR GADGET Netflix!
What's your favorite Power Rangers song?
541, tenga fly, we need a hero
We need a hero & Fight
The SPD theme 👀
Also the Dino fury morph theme
Best of the best of the best
I will win and 5 4 1.. those songs are my fav but every single one off that original rock album are just straight bangers. Ranger fan or not. Everyone gets down with them.

Oh yeah...SPD theme is one of the best...that instrumental is godly
It's good that he came back to score the special. It just wouldn't be a proper Mighty Morphin Power Rangers special without his music
Andre, thanks for the interview man, Ron's an awesome guy.
I emailed him back in 2004 to ask about MMPR music and he took the time to respond and send me a little something for writing him a nice email.

Ron Wasserman IS Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I had the “A Rock Adventure” cassette as a kid and wore it out 😂 So glad he was able to score the special.
I am so happy that Ron Wasserman come back to do the music for once and always
Come on Hasbro! Ron says he's up for more! Even if it's just more opening themes, I can guarantee the fans are gonna be super down for more of his amazing music, especially since we haven't had an opening that's been genuinely loved since Dino Charge
Ron's music heavily set the tone for the show. Good get for the interview, Andre.
There will never be a better composer for Power Rangers or Marvel superhero cartoons than Ron Wasserman. ^^
He's amazing!
This man was the soundtrack of my childhood! I nearly cried when Sweet Valley started to play!
Lightspeed rescue and in space are my favourite ones, time force also
Great themes!
I Will Win is still my favorite song of his. It's touching that the meaning behind the song for him is the same for me, meaning I will accomplish my goals and get past any obstacles. Perfect work out song

I want Ron to score a modern superhero blockbuster so bad
His songs added so much the the power rangers series and always got me full of energy. I still jam out to those songs to this day, I use them in the gym all the time!
My favorite will always be "We Need A Hero" and I love the origin and meaning behind it. Love 'Hope For The World' too, was a amazing addition to the Turbo Movie along with it's theme at the time.
Huh, inspector gadget is the reason we got the power rangers theme we got?
Mind blown
Ikr, to think that Inspector Gadget is responsible for PR’s primary slogan/marketing is wild.
I love these behind in scene moments. His vocal works is amazing!!
This interview was amazing, it was fun watching the whole thing. The Power Rangers songs are always great.
That x-men theme song was everything as a kid in the 90s.
You ask such excellent questions during your interview, Andre. It’s so amazing that the same person who composes such iconic songs for ‘Power Rangers’ is also the one responsible for the main theme for the ‘90s ‘X-Men’ cartoon. Goodness! Golly! Gracious! Gosh! Great interview with Ron Wasserman, Andre! Love his iconic music!
This was a great interview Andre! Would definitely love to see more interviews. Thanks for talking with Ron and getting some history behind the songs.
Andre seeing you and Ron together was so freaking cool! I’m so glad you got the opportunity to do this interview! This was an awesome watch! Congrats! 🙌🏻 I still sing we need a hero all the time too hahaha!
"Go, Go, Billy Goldbeeeerg!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
Such a great interview with a talented musician who wrote legendary scores!
This man is behind some of our favorite theme songs he is a legend 🙏😭
Great you got to interview Ron Wasserman!
One of the highlights of MMPR was his soundtrack/score for the show. I had the “Rock Adventure” album on cassette back in the day and 20 years later upgraded to CD. I think this is was got me into rock music later on! 😊🎸

YOOO THE LEGEND HIMSELF 😍😍😍😍
His music on PR was legendary...my fave was 5 4 1. I never understood what it actually referenced...but it was a banger.
I imagine it as the team fighting together in unison as one, everyone fighting for a common goal. Not sure if that was Ron’s mindset with it though.
To me it was 5 for 1. So 5 fighting 1 enemy and 5 trying to achieve one goal
Ron Wasserman theme-tracked so many childhoods! Love, love, love his music!
"We Need a Hero" is still on my gym get psyched mix. Ron is an epic talent, this made me so happy to listen to
Hey Andre, have you thought of doing a nerdy themed podcast? You make for a really fun and engaging host.
Aww thanks! I'll keep that in mind :)
Great interview/video its just always great to hear these perspectives of production, the music in the special was great and hopefully it's not the last time we hear Ron's music in a PR related project

Loved his music on Sweet Valley High 🎶

Finally, someone reached out for Ron's take on the 30th anniversary project. And I'm glad it was you.
What an amazing interview Andre!
Thank you!
@@BlackNerdComedy no problem.
Great great interview!!!! X-men, power rangers -- this guys wrote so much music of our childhoods
I want to see him in concert performing the MMPR soundtrack so bad
This was a good interview with Ron ! Music scores are so crucial to shows like MMPR.
So recently I learned that the Green Ranger theme was actually used for the Cybertron pilot before being used for the Green Ranger, would've loved to hear whether or not that timeline adds up since I can't find exact dates but I'm pretty sure that pilot was produced before it was ever used in the show.
Ron is a Legend.
Thank you sir, for SO many motivations during a workout.

I be singing Mr Wassermans songs at my karaoke shows
Awesome interview Andre! "I will win" was my favorite. Still blasting that one.
I love Ron!
He was (is?) the soundtrack for my teenage years.
Brilliant interview, would love to see more like this on this channel
Great songs! Ron! YEAH! He's a Music Ranger! 🎵
So amazing to hear him tell his story!
I remember, back in the day, having my mind blown that all the scenes weren't filmed in the US with the MMPR cast. I had no idea it was spliced with Japanese footage.

All the love to this man. He rocked my childhood, he rocks my life. ⚡️
Thank you Andre this was a greta Interview with Ron. A true fan and done right great Job :3
I WILL WIN IS SOMETHING I LISTENE TO DAILY
Wait a minute? He also did the theme song for X-Men? So that’s two legendary themes under his belt
wow he sang it? thats amazing
This interview is morphinominal
Glad he came back for the special.
Great interview, Andre.
This man done the best themes!!!
This is awesome. The Power Rangers theme song. The X-men theme song. AMazing stuff from my childhood
What an awesome interview. Thank you.
I thought it was awesome as a kid i loved power rangers but i moved to anime and but this special reminded me how much i loved power rangers and it was emotional for me and Jason David Frank being gone i really felt it when watching this😢
This was amazing. Always love hearing about the thought behind the music in these shows :)
Hey Andre did you think Robo Minotuar and Robo Snizzard were like the Bebop and Rocksteady of Once and Always also great interview with Ron Wasserman
Kinda, yea. I’ve seen a lot of, I guess hardcore Ranger fans complain about them being strange/niche choices but I mean c’mon, who was watching PR for the daily monsters, they were all disposable characters.

Awesome interview, you should do more of these, Andre; you were a real pro!
Hey thanks Ron, Shuki and Andre! Icy !
The biggest tragedy of Power Rangers Music is that Neo Saban OSTs have never been released in OST form for like a decade even.
I feel like a deluxe CD/vinyl of Power Rangers music with some pictures, stickers, or other goodies mixed in would sell :)
@@BlackNerdComedy I agree but I'd even take just streaming services at this point but I guess they don't wanna fork out licensing fees.
When Ron's son finally opens it, imagine if it's an actual morpher w/ a new coin connected to the Morphin Grid.
Legendary ron wassermann ❤️
It's interesting cause I liked the music but i was sad i didnt hear 5 for 1 or Win. I wanted to hear those songs
It'll never happen but imagine this......
MMPR/X-MEN??
This was a great interview. Great job!⚡️
Hope for the world has always been a person favorite but doesn't get same love because it was during turbo era
Mystic force theme was fire i miss unique themes like that
You're such a good interviewer Andre well done!
Great interview! I hope he does another redux album one day!
a pleasure to see and hear this
Always been a huge fan of Rons, its awesome to see how passionate he is about his work. It definitely shines through. Thanks for this, Andre 😊
RON WASS MAH BOI BACK IN THE DAY
Next MMPR special I'd love to see INSPECTOR GADGET team up with the MMPR to take on Lord Zedd AND MAD/DR. CLAW. Let's GO! GO! GO MMPR& INSPECTOR GADGET Netflix!
Betty, wish we could get reduxes or at least remasters for the music on the other seasons of the show he did. Zeo, Zeo, Turbo & In Space.
A+ interview!
My favorite song is I will win
I would've loved to ask him the story behind the X-Men/Whitney Houston similarities
Legendary
I owned and loved the album
