- We are always asked the question “How do you change gigantic tyres on plant and machinery” so we thought we would make a video to share our process step by step.
After damage to one of the front tyres, we need to change both 26.5 R25 Advance GLR08 L5’s on the front axle of our Liebherr L566 Wheeled Loader.
Daniel Ashville explains best practices, while the Tyre Technician works closely with a machine operator using machines for the heavy lifting and shifting.

Say please
@@stuntmansynyster please
Definitely 💯
We will do our best to bring you more standalone videos very soon. 👊
Love watching this sort of thing it’s something you don’t need to know but want to know for no reason
Huge credit to your editing team! Every video the animations and additional clips are fantastic. And the animations in this video explaining the tyres and the loader etc made it so much easier for someone who watches these for just entertainment purposes to understand. Thank you for the consistency and quality videos every week ☺️
Second that!
🙏👊❤️
Dan! The weekend vids are not enough. More of this, please!
We are always working on bringing you more standalone videos and we hope to bring you more in the very near future 🙏
Ashville on a Tuesday!
Yes, midweek content 😃👌
How on earth have you made such a boring thing so amazing to watch. What effort levels to add tge animations 😮 and diagrams. That was sickkkkk 🔥 🙌👏 more of these vids please 🙏
👊🙏
what ever monetization these type of videos get, it will never be enough for the quality of the content, amazing video!
❤
Smooth background music. Great choice for the video. Very relaxing to check out the unspoken maintenance duties that are never seen in the industry.
My fav show used to be "How Its made" and this now has brought that back for me!! Keep them coming!
Would be interested in seeing a day in the life of a volumetric concrete truck driver
Love Ashville mid week videos. Very nice surprise ❤🫶🤗😁🎁❤
Superb video animation 🙌
Completely mind blowing to me that he did all that with no gloves on. Those older guys are just built different. :D
Daniel reminds me of the old school how to videos I use to watch about how Pringles were made but he actually teaching us interesting things big respect
Going to show my nephew this video, he is always asking this exact question! Thanks for the very informative video :)
Short. Sweet. Interesting. Finally. Thank you Daniel.
Forever motivation to have my own construction company
Really interesting stuff Dan. I’d like to see more detailed videos on the trains. Where’s the stuff coming from, how’s it loaded, the routes it takes and sped up time lapses of the journeys would be interesting to watch.
Enjoyed this bonus mid week video and awesome explanation behind changing both tires.
What a pleasant surprise to get a midweek video. More please 😃
Awesome! Thanks for this Daniel
Love the midweek up loads. Need more like this 💪
Real men doing jobs like that. 💪🏻
This was so fascinating and satisfying to watch. Love the drone and walking shot at 8:55mins…a brilliant days work all round👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥
Fascinating - I definitely learned a few new things today! Cheers!
Great video. Heavy work! Nice to see epic skills from the tyre fitters🎉
That was epic thanks for sharing
Nice vid and good to get a midweek fix of Asheville!
Another great video. The tyre fitter earned his money
Thanks Ashville
👊
Great video, very interesting. Fitting new tyres across a driven axel is true for road cars, especially 4x4 as the diameter difference can put additional stress on the drive line.
We here we here 🔥❤️
As always, great video!
Love your videos man ❤❤
He made it look easy, very impressive.
This was so cool 👏🏾
Brilliant, very informative 👌👍
Nice video 🔥🔥🔥need more videos like this
Loved it 🌟✌️
Cheers for showing that
My backs aching just watching this! 4k wow!!
very interesting, thank you
I would personally like to see, what mistakes you've done (silly ones) since you started the business. It would be very encouraging for someone like me. Thanks Daniel
Keep the mid week uploads coming!
Great video Daniel.
Camera quality is unreal. Real high quality video 💪🏼
Awesome😊
Top job boys 🎉
Ashville mid week video! Sounds like a good idea
Good vlog keep them coming 👌
Great job with the animations. Very interesting
🙏
As another standalone video, I'd love to see what happens with muck and full skips when they are taken away from sites, and what happens to that material in it's afterlife.
That background music🔥🔥
Cheers been fed up waiting a week for a video.
My favourite channel
Ashville on a Tuesday?!! Now i just need another one on Friday to get me through till Sunday. 😅
Cool that 🎉🎉🎉
I need to see this bro ❤
Very interesting to someone who has only fitted relatively small tires.🇬🇧
Great vid as usual. As I see you testing the digger in that pile of aggregate, and see some of that aggregate becoming mud on the ground given the wet conditions and lack of concrete, I find myself wondering how you account for waste in various areas of your business. I think this could make an interesting and informative segment during weekly or possibly a quick stand alone mid-week vid. Keep hustling Ashville fam!
Allways wonderd how they did it great video
Its nice to get new boots 😎
Loved this Dan. Did anyone shout ’BANG’ as the tyre was being inflated 😂 Great Video 👊
No
great information video keep up the awesome work
i was mobile service tire tech for otr / agri / commercial for 7 years
lf notice few things i would done a bit different the rim and rim components need to be clean well things
i didn't see lube on the sealing grove where the o ring i notice there was not cribbing or stands under the front axle , i didn't see a new valve stem being installed
bunch of there stuff i sayin might of been cut out of the video except the stand/cribbing i saw that stay safe out there boys i have had a hydraulic loader cylinder fail and it almost got me lesson i learned tools and truck can be replace but ppl cant there many story of other sketchy /scare monument i have heard from other tech from locking ring coming flying off ,tech getting sent flying from a zipper blow out ( i have had a 26,5r25 zipper on me ) to also getting hit my driver on the road i want to say stay safe out there if take 15 mins long it takes longer
he punction in the tire is repairable with a section repair of the tire which is where the cut our the old damaged section fill the area with new rubber and i section repair boot/(patch) then the tires is cured in a oven i have installed many section repair tire in time a tire tech i also used many rethread otr tires
for ppl; wondering the tires that are not useable in Canada the are made cow mats and other rubber products
for any wanting to know why they installed the on the front instead of the rear is due to a loader front tire receiver the most wear on the unit
i want to give credit the gentleman's doing the service its a very heavy demand physical job and they did a great job cheers
i was lucky and i had a boom crane to help me on my time as a tire tech and is very demanding job and for all my current tire tech and retired ones cheers for the hard days ( and you all know those days )
Yeah!!!
Good video
Nice video👍, Hi greetings from Aruba🇦🇼🖐️
Oops… Title typo - Tyres. Nonetheless, thank you for sharing another welcomed informative mystery-solving liked stand-alone. A question if I may please: Is the commuter train carriage work of art progressing nicely? Keenly awaiting😊❤
there's some seriously impressive sledge hammer game in this video! 🔨💪
Great video Daniel we defo need a mid week episode, just one thing you said you always fit axle stands for saftey i didnt see any axle stands😂
I can't wait until Disney+ USA shows Daniels TV show. Us North Americans can't see his show. I love details like this. Please make more.
Man, proper ‘how it’s made’ vibes. Great little watch. Hope the CZcams money helps with the sting of 8 bags for tyres.
Bout time we got 1 of these stand alone videos 😂
There is a young farmer on CZcams (LauraFarms) and in one of her videos this 5', 100lb young woman removed a larger tire that yours off her tractor by herself and put it in the pickup. Worth watching.
more videos like this, any chance of seeing the road sweeper working ? is it working ? as havent seen it or heard about it for a while
Would like to see more of your townie
I would love to see a video about the trains that come into the Ashville yard
Daniel did you see the Professional Strugglers version of Ashville. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
I’ve always wondered and now I know. When I was a kid the lorry rims were like these mind you it has been a long time ago.
One word, "Gloves". A wise man once told me I didn't know how fortunate I was to have hands and should protect them at all costs!
I feel a thanks should go out to the fitter and the company he works for. I like the video and great editing. 👍🏻👍🏻
Good video; more like these would be great. One question from start to finish: how long did the whole process take?
perfect video to watch some scran to ahaha
“today we’re gonna show you how to change gigantic tyres!”
*me, covered in chip dust, eating a muffin*: “oooh wanna know”
Yet another Great Informative vid.
Unless I missed it, how long did the whole process take. ❓❓📽📽 Keep them coming. 👍👍👍
Can your tyre fitter fit the plant tyres? Just wondering as he dose the lorrys.
Great video. How long did it take to change both?
💯
Shame you didnt have your own tire fitters involved. Appreciate its probably a specialised task. Good vid.
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
How long did it take to do both tyres?
Yes .the bottom discharge is the way forward but the yard layout may need looking at.when your trains enter the yard do they discharged the material at the top off the yard as they enter.,if so the rest off the train will be on the main line for the duration off the unloading ?would this not block the main line for any other trains?might help you to do computer program for the time it takes to unload the trains in your new yard could save you a lot off money .(a train simulation)
Just a question wouldn't it be easier to pressure wash the tire and rim before changing the tire?
That way you get rid of all the mud and material?
Great video. Was the end a bit of an Easter egg. Is the yard expanding 😮
Can you do a vidio on the plant hire side pls?
niiiiice ;-)
Let’s gooo
That’s some graft!
This was interesting in as much as it’s the British way of doing it. I saw a video from America where this process was done by on man using a special truck and equipment.
Also I caught your fib, you said “we use axle stands” obviously you didn’t because with them it would not be possible to use the bucket to manoeuvre the tyre.
