I don't have any other services, only SQL server. I have done the same but I can not connect through the internet, it works fine with the local network. FYI, I am using NetGear Router.
Hey....Great Tutorial !!!.. I Followed All Steps and got Success in Connecting From Local IP Address only....But I Failed To Connect From Public IP.... I've TP-Link Router so i would be so grateful if you will Give me the steps for port forwarding ........Service Port and Internal Port...etc!!!
Yes. you should have to open 1433 to connect your sql server through NET.
well define, well explained Thumbs up for Kranthi. i have one question in mind. Are you familiar in MLM programming?
If you assign static ports to each intance then you don't need the sql server browser. You can connect specifying ip and port. Then port forwarding does the job.
Interesting... :)
👍👍👍👍👍👏🎁
Please upload your notes to the site.So , that we can work the same examples you used in the video's for practise.

Your router should have PORT FORWARDING option on left side.
Yes. You can connect C# application but your SQL server address should be your Public IP address.
Hey Kranthi! Its great You are giving so much information - but I have the same problem as Goswami :(. I'm using Tenda W541R router - and here aren't "Port Forwarding", but what i read on the internet - it is Virtual Server on my router. I entered the same ports as You are, but I can't connect. Can You help me please, here or if it is possible to speak via Skype or e-mails - it will be great. I really want to start that server! Thanks !!!
This is really helpful.. however can you connect to the SSRS through the internet also? I've tried everything but if I come in through the IP address, I can not log in to the SS Reports as rather than logging as domain, it is logging as the IP address.
Hi! This is great! But I have a question. What should I do if I want to connect to the SQL Server from another computer connected to another network?
i like this tutorial....
how about if the ip public is dynamic, means changes from the internet provider ?
can the mssql connect using host name not by ip ( i tried using free ddns service) ?
Thanks Kranthi Kumar ji for this informative video.. I followed every step as narrated by u but unfortunately i m not able to make remote connection for SQL server 2014 express edition. I get error message showing error 26... Can u help me please... Regards.. Shekhar

thanks!!! I connect sql server but want connect into DNS not ip adresse how to do that ???
Hi, I created a database using SQL on my server, and then created a program that connects to that database and can make changes. if I install that program on multiple computers, i want it to be able to make changes to the database so other computers can see it. Also when I was adding sqlbrowser, the sql server wasn't there. If you could help me out with this, I'll appreciate it, thank you.
