having just gone to the guts tour in sf n2, this is such perfect timing and i absolutely LOVE your analysis!! when you pointed out the parallel between enough for you and logical it really clicked for me because those are the two songs that she sings while sitting on the moon during tour, so that was clearly an intentional choice she made to have those two songs linked together. i seriously love your videos sm and you're so underrated

I personally really don't like Olivia (Except 'all I want' & 'Can't Catch Me Now' which aren't even on her albums). I had a really really bad experience so whenever her song 'vampire' specifically I get mad and sad and it's a bit weird. If I had to choose only 1 song from each album, it would be driver's license and lacy, with no specific reason to be honest. Also Ballad Olivia >>>>>> All Other Olivia's from someone who doesn't like her. I love that you still added your ranking at the end anyway!! Most people rank their albums in a tier list, but they're never my favourite, I really do prefer the 1 by 1 ranking, even though I know it's probably a lot of work. AAB is an incredible song, a masterpiece in every aspect, and she topped it with this mind blowing performance at SNL 🙉, but all songs on GUTS are genius, I was totally gasping when she topped them with the deluxe tracks... Deja Vu is actually an entirely new genre, invented by Olivia, impressive song. Shakespeare would dream a million years to write lyrics like hers. Can't imagine what her and her team are capable of further, she is The Phenomenon modern music needed. She is also trailblazing a path for young, fresh, innovative new artists helping Noah Kahan, Chapel Roan, Remi Wolf and Pink Pantheress to rise into stardom, thus creating a wave which (adding Sabrina Carpenter, indirectly benefiting too) will hopefully take over the old boring stuf that is suffocating current pop music.

This is so great😅 I’ve always seen making the bed as a sequel to jealousy, jealousy rather than pretty isn’t pretty (even though they tackle similar themes) It feels like growing up, she managed to get the things she always wanted in jealousy jealousy (going out every night, living the life) and in making the bed, after getting all of those things she though, as a teenager, were going to make her happy, did not, and in fact, made her more insecure and unhappy. Now she doesn’t idealize anything she used to and now takes responsability for everything in her life.
