Don't slam the ink!!! Just make sure it locks into place and the red light turns on. It you slam the ink too much it will eventually break the mechanism and forget about how much labor and parts are for that! You would probably be better off buying a new one! Be gentle and the printer will love you back, take it from a Canon technician!!!

After opening the box and removing stuff I saw you build the stand, but I was wondering how you picked up the printer and placed it on the legs itself.
That’s a great question! I had several students help me lift it onto the stand. Teenagers have plenty of strength and energy, haha
What kind of material can be used with this printer?can I print on canvas type material ?to get a almost realistic by hand artwork?
This is a paper-only printer, but you can use matte or glossy.

i bought this printer and got the exact same error, how do i fix it, i am in a very remote area away from canon representatives
In my case it was the ink cartridges not being inserted fully. Once they were removed and really forced into to place, the printer was able to boot up fine.
The Enthusiasm Project thank you for your response, did you need a technician from canon to fix the error? i reside in a remote location in africa and i do not have access to help, are you saying that if i slam the inks well it should be able to boot up immediately ?
He did come out and fixed it, but I could have done it myself if I just forcefully reinstalled the cartridges. If they’re not in all the way, the print head can’t form a vacuum to suck up the ink.
Does it waste ink doing cleaning cycles ? I do not intend on using daily or even weekly.. does that matter ?
Don't quote me on this, but I DON'T think so. The ink seems to last a surprisingly long time.

Hi! How much can I print with starter inks?
Ours lasted a pretty long time. We easily went through a 100' roll of paper with them. Maybe even a little more?

It’s only designed to work with rolls of photo paper.

How much does printing a huge picture costs?
I usually put 24x36” prints at $5. The ink is wildly expensive, but lasts a really long time.

I only recently learned what a “collab” is so yes. But Garcia is way too big for my channel.
