@genod.198 James (1 Stroke Giggler) and Larry finally convinced me to start playing one pocket last year, it’s some of my first videos on here so yeah I’ve got a lot to learn considering I’ve spent the last 11 years not playing pool up until I joined the Senior Center. I started shooting pool at the age of 21 and stopped at 30 had some young’ins and I’m 42 now. I continue to improve each week thanks to comments on here and the fellas I shoot with. I will be The Best One Pocket player that’s just the competitive side of me. This past week I’ve been working 12 hours a day so haven’t had the chance to make any videos but I have been watch the pros play and realize I’m playing the game all wrong I sell out and miss easy shots too often. With all that being said I’m not bragging just figured I share a little bit of me 🤓
I’ve seen you improve dramatically over the course of the videos,I think you’re doing great, one pocket is definitely a challenging game but IMO the best game hands down. I’m in my 40s as well, same thing, kids family, had to stop playing,I’ve picked it back up within the last few yrs.
@mikeblackburn2849 next time im in JC ill definitely swing by there. When i was kid i worked at a pool hall here in Bristol and played one pocket with all the older fellas in the morning
😂🤣 always fun hearing the giggler in the background,as always thanks for posting these videos
Absolutely, we might not be pros but by god you’ll laugh. Will be posting a video tomorrow 👍
@@mikeblackburn2849 At the end of the day it’s about competing and enjoying yourself, and you guys do a good job of both!
@@mikeblackburn2849 I wish I lived closer,I’ve got a 9ft diamond in the basement,my friend and I play one pocket every week, always good times

Larry shoots straight, gotta play some defense on him
Exactly, I’ll be ready next time we get to play. No more Mike setting him up all day
I'm from Bristol! I didn't know anyone still played one pocket around here! Does this place have an hourly rate for one pocket?
It’s free you just have to sign up at the reception desk, come by if you are in the neighborhood

You’ll fit right in, I go after work through the week so I’ll be there at 5pm
