@@docmar5453 you're upset because I care about his well being? Just because I'm blunt and not a liar doesn't mean I don't care. Nobody who is in good health is that pale and that skinny, he needs to see a doctor and find out what he can do to put on weight. Personally I'd recommend a lean diet of chicken and rice with moderate exercise but that's just assuming he doesn't have a pre existing condition that is leading to this. I wish him the best of health, go ahead and ratio me if you're so inclined or whatever.

It's so interesting how Frowning Friends was a production nightmare, but is mostly regarded as the fan favourite. It's even my own favourite, with the DJ Spit Gag being my favourite joke in the show overall

I honestly admire a silly Halloween special for going all out on the horror. It reminded me of how at the end of Shaun of the Dead, the film just drops the pretense of being a comedy and just goes full horror.
Also I love that this is an adult animation where the cynical assholes of the episodes get punished and the whole point of the protagonists is to help people.
My favorite was the pilot honestly. I love how Desmond has justifiable reasons to be depressed and his dialogue isnt cartoonishly sad("it's kinda cool I guess"). And the episode overall was just funnier than the others imo
Finally, someone else who thinks the Halloween episode is the weakest. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a great episode, but it’s mostly setup for an admittedly hilarious joke at the end.
I swear, I’ve gotten countless comments on my video saying that Halloween was their fave, I’m kinda shocked how popular that episode was.

I think it has to do with the forest demon being ripped apart and being eaten, I lost my mind when I saw Zach finally got to use his chimp skit
Same - thought I was alone on that. Great punchline... but it's only one good joke, albeit with some creative animation.
The thing is I enjoyed that episode because it was genuinely good horror (until the ending ofc). The show shouldn't be reduced to just how funny each episode is, they should be appreciated for their charming moments and scary moments too
It’s funny that “frowning friends” is your favourite episode. Zach and Michael both said that it was the most difficult episode. Like it was a nightmare they couldn’t come up with an ending and it was too long and a bunch of stuff. They were worried it was gonna be really bad but I actually really enjoy it aswell
If you liked this show you should check out YOLO Crystal Fantasy, Michael Cusack's other Adult Swim show that premiered in 2020. More people seem to only know Zach which is a bummer. Michael is half the creative and comedic force and he's hilarious too. I'm sure you've already seen Bushworld Adventures too which is my favorite thing he's done
My personal ranking:
8. Charlie Dies and Doesn't Come Back. Really only last by default. It's a good episode, but it doesn't compare to the other 7 episodes.
7. A Silly Halloween Special. A hilarious ending, funny moments sprinkled here and there, and great live-action segments, but the story isn't really all that engaging, and Pim running away from the forest demon gets tedious after a while.
6. Desmond's Big Day Out. The one that started it all. A really good pilot, with an A and B plot that perfectly intersect, solid jokes, but the s*icide element is a little too dark. Still a good episode.
5. Shrimp's Odyssey. Clever premise, fun jokes, good characters, an awesome Chills cameo, and of course, the amazingness that is Smormu.
4. Enchanted Forest. Clever episode, with a good twist, interesting elements, and fun jokes. Screw Mip, though. He sucks.
3. Frowning Friends. Great premise, great humor, and DJ Spit and 3D Squeldon are great characters, who I hope gets more appearances.
2. Mr. Frog. Mr. Frog is a great character, and the episode was just so incredibly funny and clever. And the Jimmy Fallon sequence is legendary.
1. Who Violently Murdered Simon S. Salty? I love this episode. Murder mysteries are one of my favorite subgenres, and this episode executes it beautifully.

Enchanted Forest was my favorite episode, my younger sister and I used to obsessively watch the animated hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings movies and re-enact them, so it felt like I was taken back to that moment 🥹

My favorite episode is Shrimps Odyssey from the Smormu bit alone
I have a hard time picking favorite episodes because I enjoy the whole season but I sure could fire off my favorite bits. Charlie's grandma and the sucker always gets me.

Even what I personally feel is the weakest episode (Frowning Friends), it's still good and better than any other adult show on rn IMO, same with your weakest episode. That's crazy, this show is nutty in it's quality. And shows are usually bad in the first season.

It was just there I guess? I didn't really have an impact for me and the jokes didn't really stick
7: Charlie Dies and Doesn't Come back
Eh it was forgettable for me, characters like charlie (for me atleast) work best as a foil due to his down to earth nature, but since he's the main focus he can't really do that, and it doesn't work in my opinion
6: Shrimps Odyssey
It's meh, like I would enjoy it, but I found it pretty lackluster and just hit a few giggles here and there
5: Desmonds Big day out
The main plot was pretty lackluster for me, the jokes kinda just doesn't leave an impact cuz I think about that stuff alot, now the B plot I enjoy, I like how Alan is silly and serious at the same time, and the B plot is completely bonkers which I like since I like more crazy over the top shit.
4: Mr. frog
It was kinda meh in general, but the absolute bonkers Mr. frog is, really carries this episode for me
3: The Silly Halloween Episode
I LOVED, how they did the Halloween episode, it's genuinely scary, and it works well since of it's short nature, so we don't have time to linger after the climax.
2: Who Violently killed Simon T. Salty?
I really liked this episode, cuz of how the characters kinda switch roles as the realistic straight man and wacky cartoon protag, and I genuinely love the ending it was really fun.
1: Enchanted Forest
Okay I LOVE this episode, cuz of how Wacky it is, alot of the minutes in the Episode are just pure insanity, the witch, the concept of quests in general, and ending was just Perfect, Overall my favorite Episode
