No body here understands the skill they just watched. Skill to make it that far is onething but to have the control to actually take a precise line is just crazy. We try to pick a line but normally the whole climb is spent making corrections jst to keep the front wheel on the ground and pointed up the hill.
Going up is the easiest part in my opinion. Now hear me out, A rider needs skill of course, not discrediting this guys skill. BUT the team behind a rider is what makes this happen. Getting a bike setup for these hills ain’t easy. It takes dedicated people and more time and sweat and blood to get those bikes just perfect. Hopefully i don’t get too much hate on this cause I know it takes skill

My neighbor when I was growing up had a bike like that, but back then, it was for quarter-mile drags on dirt. He raced just about everything with an engine, and said this was the only thing that scared him.
And I thought the "Wall of Death" was more of a barrel shape that some insane lunatic rides around in a circle very quickly and goes gradually higher up the wall!! This hill is getting not that far off vertical in places, but the rider just goes up and makes it look quite simple. That is some good spotting by his compadre who very obviously knows the riders skill level and directs him on the path where he is most likely to succeed And the rider does just that. Wonderfully well ridden!!
That shape would be easier, as u gain inertia in the first section and don't lose it so easily during the climb, these changes in inclination force braking and losing all inertia. The spotter is so important, many people do not understand it, it is easy to find a broken line that ruins the climb!

Remember, the widow maker in Salt Lake. They built houses where the pits were . The last time I was there about 12 years ago, the hill was still there. The groov was steeper than this, I'd say. I couldn't walk up it without crawling
Once your feet start touching the ground it's game over as the spring tension lessens and you lose traction. The geometry of these bikes is very helpful though as they heavily prevent the front wheel from going up.

El alargar la moto es principalmente para dificultar que la moto se levante de alante y se voltee, al ser más larga tiene el centro de gravedad más adelantado y es más difícil que haga caballito al traccionar en las partes inclinadas ⛰️🚜💨
