You can buy tickets, or a stamp to ride rides, but the games all cost tickets, or money (usually tickets) I would get the stamp and show the vendor, ask him to let me play, and tell him if I win not to give me anything (make it look like I'm getting something, for the crowd, if he wants), but just let me play. Most of them will bite, if it's not popping balloons with darts or shooting the paper target. The spray target horse race is my favorite, lol I don't do it much (unless there are a bunch of couples present), I'll leave if mostly kids are playing, but I've had vendors notice me in a crowd later and silently nod me over to come fake hand over some tickets, and knock an a-hole off that "spray the target" game, lol Give me a prize, let me walk around with it for a minute, bring it to the back door of their booth, lol (a lot of times they just let you have it, but they're always surprised that you were serious about not taking a prize for just being allowed to play). There's a little fair that rolls from state to state, that stops in my town twice a Summer (beginning and end). They set up in a highschool parking lot, and they recognize me on sight (have actually seen one "old hat" pointing at me before leaning over to talk to a new guy, lol). I like them guys, and I always love when Richard is running "The Chainsaw," because he has done it so long he can selectively spin any basket he wants to on the ride, playing with the acceleration, lol.
