Oh man, the 80’s and 90’s were the best years of my life, for many reasons of the least of which was the amazing arcade games we had to play!! I want to go back in time!!
The arcades is the thing I miss the most back then. And the arcade machines in the corner stores too. Oh do I miss that
@Anthony Z I'm 40....so what's wrong with that, kid???
I wouldn't go back in time. Just by the arcade machine. Time travel completed.
I miss The old days......
42 here and still retro-gaming.....
for every single man that are now in their 30s raise those thumbs if youve been in an arcarde gamin place
i'm 26 and live in VietNam but watch this clip make me cry, time flies so fast :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
Not yet… Heard they have one in town now though
Ah I miss those seedy ass places... But there were great ones as well!
👍
Not in my 30s Being in my 40s already so I raise my hand ✋️ for this dope collection of beat em ups 🔥💯
when life gets hard.. I always go back to this place. we had such great childhood memories.
I am so glad I grew up 80/90s. They culture is just golden. Everything else that comes after is just trying to be what 90's used to be. From media, cartoons, video games, etc.
I miss those days, I am 36yrs and I am still playing. My favorites Beat em up games are Streets of Rage 2, Final Fight, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time, Golden Axe II, Double Dragon 2, X-Men The Arcade, Alien Storm, Altered Beast, Heavenly Swords, Knights the round table, Batman Arkham Knight, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, Comix Zone, Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma, God of War III, Final Fight Street Wise, Battletoads & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rise to Honor, Spiderman 2018, and soon Streets of Rage 4.
Me too. And dont forget Batman Arkham series, which is the best modern beat'up.
Woah Woah Hold Up. . . Battletoads & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade Game Was A Thing??? Not A Fan Made Game?!
@@Instrulnomical Actually I made a mistake, I met Battletoads & Double Dragon (Lol). There rumors back in the days for a Battletoads & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but it never happened.
Iam 34 bro me too me too
@@LoganPP I just recently got a sega it's coming next week im 37 years old thought I was going to be home but I start back work tomorrow.
Man this Genre doesn't get much love anymore.
i know, right? charlie murder was probably the most recent one that really blew me away.
@Yatham Seenu oh yeah thats the other great one of the modern era for sure.
Try "Mother Russia Bleeds". It blew me away.
Most of them are made by indie developers now days
Streets of rage 4 is in the works, and it's going to be awesome, but I highly recommend that you play fight n rage on steam, it's beautiful.
Really glad I bought the genesis classics last night. Streets of rage, golden axe, toejam and earl are still a blast. 90's man, miss those days.
The Simpsons Arcade game was one of my favorites!!...
Watching beat em ups back to back made me realise even more why Streets of Rage series shines above them. Once it makes its appearance, the amazing music and character design becomes apparent.
I think u never played urban reign
BEAT 'EM UPS! My favorite genre! And always the best when played with a friend. This is such an incredible compilation. Thank you for the time and effort put into this. Another top notch vid by The Radikool one!
What a time to be alive. Unbelievable amount of quality produced and some great memories. So many classics to choose from.
im 31 yold and i still play cadillacs and dinosaurs sometimes, best games ever
ties0 how?
I wish that game was ported to consoles. Having a beat em up with guns and dinosaurs looks fantastic!
@@rgbfan emulator
Same here...still play it to this day and it never gets old.
Streets of Rage was my Child hood ♥️
streets of rage 4 just released brother man, :)
@@joelcobb5702 it's wonderful
@@umr4h138 it is
Double Dragon 2+Streets of Rage 2+ Final Fight 1-2-3+X-Men+All The TMNT Titles 🤟
Capcom was the king of this genre. I really wish it would come back.
Thank you to whomever made this compilation, it is phenomenal. Very well done.
Konami's TMNT?
No beat em up Capcom made ever can close to Streets of Rage
Fight'N Rage is fantastic. River City Girls and Double Dragon Neon are fun, and Streets of Rage 4 is coming soon.
It's not the 90's anymore but the genre is still alive.
And Sega
shame capcom wont do a street fighter beat em up they have the roster
Como voy a disfrutar este video!!! El mejor género sin duda!!! Gran trabajo, gracias!!!
Saludos!!!
LOS MEJORES RECUERDOS
This is basically my childhood, thank your for the trip down memory lane, and some forgotten gems!!
Streets of Rage is life and beat em up are also life as well. I love aliens vs predators, captain commando, battletoads, TMNT arcade, the Simpsons arcade and so much more. Your channel rocks! ✌️😎✌️
play Violent Storm and Crisis Beat
Final Fight will always be my favorite of the arcade bunch. I remember getting to the bay side level, or whichever one's close to the end, but ran outta quarters. It'd be the first game i'd look for in any arcade i went to. These are all bringing back memories
Mike Haggar for President ❤✌
Ah man, this brings me back in time, I almost forgot few of these games I frequently played. 90’s was the best time ever, I couldn’t wait to grow up then and now I wish to turn around the time. Thanks a lot for uploading this so at least I could remember the past a bit and felt like a child again, skipping school to play the games, how time flies
Amazing collection beat em ups! I played in several games here years ago. And now thanks to your video, i remembered theirs again! Thank you so much!
Gosh the GREAT memories of playing some of these games. This was a great trip back in time. I can thank these games for me becoming a game developer today! Btw, I enjoy EVERYTHING on this channel!!
44 years old , still playing 👍
Estoy llorando, gracias por recordarme esos tiempos
Excelente compilación muchas gracias incluso si solo lo veo ahora. Estos píxeles siempre serán más hermosos en mi corazón, en cierto sentido, que los juegos modernos.
I wish legit arcades would make a comeback. I remember starting college at Nicholls State University and finding the arcade in the student union for the first time. They had Street Fighter 3. I was blown away.
What a great list, i have played most of them and i loved each one but Streets of Rage will always have its own place in my heart.
Awesome tribute to one of the most memorable genres the gaming industry has ever know, from the modern era I miss Fighting Force, Zombie Revenge, Mad World, Double Dragon Neon, Code of Princess, Uppers and Dragon´s Crown but those games aside YOU CHOOSE WISELY
Duuude...duuddde !!! Thank you for the memories. And even some surprises (even being a NES fan I've never seen Kung Fu 2 before)!!
I remember playing Splatter House 3 on Sega Genesis as a child.
I rented it during a weekend when my parents went on a vacation so it was just me and my brother and sister in the house.
Dark, alone, at night and it was amazing. One of my favorite memories!
the part that Panda doll become monster always freaked me out!
@@jason.h.zager88 yeaaaah! It was a trippy game man.
Double Dragon 2 and 3 had best music and gameplay... I love them 💜
Por uma hora, voltei a época de ouro dos beat em up! Obrigado e parabéns pelo trabalho!
I was born in 81 thank you this brought back so many memories
32:50 Metamorphic Force: beautiful game so under-rated
Yes it is! I modded my Arcade1Up SF2 Cab and I played this on it a few weeks ago. Very underrated!
Never heard of that one before, looks amazing
I can only imagine how long it took to compile this video. The feels man, the feels......
I love how in this clip you can see the various beginings of some of the ideas that are still in todays games
Cool video, so many memories growing up playing at the arcades in the 80s.
This video was a great start to my day I love the beat em up genre back in the day putting quarters in the machine
Oh my! I found it, finally! Captain Commando. The game of my childhood, when I was maybe 6 years old there was a Arcade Cabinet club not so far away from school I used to come around every day after classes and watch someone play it, brilliant. There was also arcade cabinet with another pure classic best of the best games made ever Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, what glorious time!
Impresionante trabajo!
Gracias por el video.
One of the best game genres. Thanks for posting...lots of great titles here.
This is easily the BEST list I have seen on this! :D Awesome job man! :D
Brings back my childhood so much watching these games
Excelente trabajo, saludos.👍👌
Buena recopilación, un repaso simplemente a una buena época de los Arcade.
I would always make new friends at the arcades playing beat em ups as kid. Miss those times.
It was king of fighter's in Mexico made enemies too.
Vigilante!
I've been looking for the name of that game forever!
All I remembered from the late 80s was a guy with a white shirt and a blue overall.
Thank you so much :)
21:38 el Vendetta el mejor juego que tuve la dicha de disfrutar en mi infancia
Gracias por tan buen vídeo!!!! Varios de ésos juegos los había olvidado.
@8:07 i was so relieved you didnt miss river city ransom. this game was insanely ahead of its time in so many ways. the rpg elements, the co-op, the physics (if someone threw a rock at you, you could hit it back), the background actually being in play (you could get on top of the park benches and some roofs)... just... wow.
World Cup
24:00 *THE UNDISPUTED KING* of Beat'Em Ups!
41 and still play retrogaming games alone ... and now with my 3 sons (3, 5 & 7 years) who get the virus of arcade games like their father since Final Fight 30 years ago during summer holidays with my brother in Saint-Cyprien (FRANCE) . Thanks a lot TheRadik for your mix that reminds me my childhood !!! ;) Keep going !!!!
47:50 "Growl" I was looking for this game many years because I forgot the title. Now I finally found you. Hahah many thanks 🎊✨
God that streets of rage 2 soundtrack is amazing!
Truly the GOAT
You can thank *Yuzo Koshiro* for that!
Awesome collection. Congratulions!
Bad dudes from 1988 is still one of the most awesome games ever. The graphics were very good for 1988 and the game play was smooth.
Awesome collection of old games.. even though some are really hack n slash or shooters ... still love them all!!
Love this channel. Shows games I’ve never heard of and inspired me to finally play dungeons and dragons on my ps3!!!
What d & d game is on ps3?
Daniel Garcia shadows of Mystara and tower of doom. They’re on the ps3 store or you can get a physical Japanese copy.
You should try dragons crown
@@addictofoxygen yeah got dragons crown pro for ps4. Its pretty cool too.
Cadillacs And Dinosaurs, Final Fight and Captain Commando, the holy trinity to me. Sunset Riders would be top 4
A man of good taste I can detect but you forgot Alien vs predator and the punisher omg, capcom used to make the best beat em up games. Konami was there too with TMNT turtles in time, Bucky o hare, Baseball batman, sunset riders, the simpson arcade, and vendetta
Sega had Street of rage, spiderman arcade, spikeout, dynamite dux, golden axe, altered beast, shinobiand cybercop
Great job on the compilation . I played 90% at the arcade and some of the home consoles, back n the day were rentals.
This needs to be the ultimate compilation, great job 🤟
Original Double Dragon Arcade is my Favorite Beat Em Up of All Time.
Renegade's Baby Brother
technically Super Double Dragon is better. Its only fault being its slower paced.
I'm a simple man,I see double Dragon, i give a like!
you had me with the intro theme music... CLASSIC , if you played streets of rage 2 many times!
Double Dragon!!! I remember thinking Golden Axe graphics were next level. For their time they were and the fact that you can hit enemies using combinations was amazing. Imagine a game like that with today's consoles. A lost game genre.
Fighting Force (PS1) 1997
On N64 too
Yeah figthing force for ps1
I wish I could of keap that game🙋♂️
I hated fighting force...it was an ok game but it marked the beginning of the end for the beat em up genre
Streets of Rage and Final Fight two of my all time favourites.
Yea and double dragon and golden axe! :D and one of the best asterix and obelix omg!
Top kek, they did copy Street fighter 2 style try again noob.
@@hikari67 Final fight is better I think but I like both
Arcade FF1 and Mighty final fight are the only strong games they had and FF1 is now very old, swarms of enemies thrown at you randomly, AI is ridiculous, the whole game is just a MASH fest designed to make you spit money.
Its simple, fighting game in late 70's created the genre, double dragon popularized it, final fight defined all the rules and perfected them. I respect that but say it's still relevant is just pure nostalgia.
FF2 is a big pile of dog shit, FF3 could've been a good game if they actually polished it and made it harder.
@@hikari67 I ve finished Final fight 1 with Cody just now with only 1 credit lost 3 lives cant play good with guy for some reason he seems inferior to cody for some reason.
Yeah I agree with you it was perfect back then but now you can easily point out its flaws especially AI its very old now still good tho.
I also play only Real bout 1 sometimes never tried Ff2 or Ff3 but 1st game is the most solid generally that applies to most of games in my opinion
Excelente video...que juegazos
Awesome Compilation! I didn't know of some of these presented here!
For me this is what gaming is all about being in the arcade with people. And I love Lucas arts story driven click and go games.
Of course you start a video like this off with the streets of rage 2 music ! great video
I loved renegade all these games bring back memories
What an awesome collection of games! Many I have played, and many I've never seen before. It was so worth mowing the grass to spend my hard earned allowance at the local arcades. Bad Dudes, Final Fight. Golden Axe, Sengoku and TMNT were some of my favorites. I'm always bummed to see that Sega never includes the arcade port of Golden Axe in home console collections. The Genesis version was missing subtle details. Gilius Thunderheads axe wasn't even gold. Wish I could play Golden Axe Death Adder, Metamorphic Force, and The Punisher, they look righteous. To bad more software companies don't release arcade collections for PS4/XB1. There is something about the arcade ports that are magical. Shinobi, Tron, and the Disc's of Tron will always be my top three favorite arcade titles.
Nice job on the comp man! Shounen Ninja Sasuke and Final Fight 2 was one of my favorites
Great list, although it's missing the arcade versions of Double Dragon 2 & 3 and the first two Sengoku games. Never heard of Crows: The Battle Action before. Thanks for this video.
Great work. Impossible to include all but i missed After War from Amiga 500 and Power Rangers from Megadrive. Maybe not in a list of the best ones but they are part of my childhood
Moonwalker remains the only game i ever completed in the arcade, and I did it without spending more than £10👍
Lol. I loved that arcade back then. Along with TMNT, golden axe, double dragon, and WWF wrestle fest it was my favourite.
The arcade I wasted the most money on was robocop. Man, I hated that thing! It ate my money so damn quick lol. It seemed like you only had to be shot once or twice and you died, and you needed more credits after credits.
But pleased to say, after 30 years, I've finally completed it.🤦♂️😂
Moinwalker was one of my favorites back in the day. I could get to the final stage on one token. Also TMNT, Mutant Fighter. Jungle Boy to name a few.
Can't wait for Streets of Rage 4. Great video, do a part 2....
My favorite Arcade genre of all time, who's with me!!
God hand its just my legend!
This helped me so much. Thank you. I was looking for a game from my early childhood for at least two decades. When my parents were at the casino when I was about 5 they would leave me in the arcade section of the casino and all I remembered from the game was someone was burning a photo with a zippo. For years, I looked for Konami's Crime Fighters. Now, I have found it. Thank you!
So many of these I played on the arcades at the local bowling alley in California growing up. Memories.
Shadow Over Mystara & Tower Of Doom... Best of Best...
Streets of Rage 1 and 2 are best of best in video games history!! ^.^
punch > stun rinse repeat
썬키나이트 sorry I don’t think so I was born double dragon final fight arcades was the best days ever
guardian heroes the best one
Streets of rage and bare knuckle 3 are best. Sor 2 is overrated garbage
PRO HORSE PUNTER i had nightmares of abobo.
Great video!! I thought you would put The Bouncer and Yakuza on there, but you killed this. +1
Too many memories, “consoles killed the arcade gods.” Wasn’t à sega nerd but all the NES releases you’ve shown I’ve beat. Miss those days.... big shout out to P.O.W. Unforgiving and well worth the battle.
Target Renegade was such a good game for the Amstrad back in the day what days 😊
Bro, Comix Zone was the 16 bit Viewtiful Joe!
Great selection of games.
Missing tons of SNES games: Legend, Sonic Blastman 1 & 2, Rival Turf, Brawl Brothers, Peacekeepers, Pirates of Dark Water, Iron Commando, War of the Gems, X-Men Mutant Apocalypse, Death and Return of Superman, Ghost Chaser Densei and more. But this is still a GREAT list, thanks!
Vendetta (Crime Fighters 2) will always be my number 1
It sucked that it never got a home conversion.
My top 3 Beat ‘em up games are 1. TMNT 4: Turtles in Time for SNES, 2. Streets of Rage 2. And 3. Golden Axe 3. Though, I have to acknowledge that Streets of Rage 2 is better, but TMNT 4: Turtles in Time holds more appeal to me because I’m a big TMNT fan.
Loved your selection, some very interesting picks that I will definitely check out. (Knuckle Bash, Night Slashers and Dynamite Cop). To add to the list I would suggest: From Arcade: DJ boy and from SNK Ninja Combat.
Wow I'm enjoying these time machines!!!!!.. Ill still play some of these today.. Even though some have seen the difference in power between arc and home cons.. They still were fun in most cases..
Thanks for this work!
My favourite beat-'em-up series is Streets of Rage, Double Dragon and Battletoads.
no zombie revenge?
good video👍
Just awesome 😎 man thank soooo much u made my day 🤙👍👍
Great! Epic games, i miss that time...
damn i use to love playing Crime Fighters at the arcades
