I would have liked a "happy ending" for Stefan but an ominous for the viewer to be available. Spoilers ahead tied to the actual endings:
I'd like an ending in which Stefan successfullly completes the game, is hired fulltime and Tuckersoft expands greatly to become a software/hardware giant but which has no qualms about starting dangerous new technology streaming "entertainment" straight into the minds of people. Sort of a tie in to the new siniser technology that later was developed for use in the other Black Mirror episodes. Stefan thinks he has made it, instead he has set of something horrible. The episode ends with Stefan and Colin being told to cooperate and develop exciting, new "entertainment" for the future. Colin smiles and says:"I have been thinking about some f-cked up new ideas..." all while the Metalhead poster hangs on the wall behind him.
Another ending I would have loved to see is one in which once completed the Bandersnatch game appears to have the same effect on the public playing it as it had on Jerome F. Davies and Stefan Butler. Reports on young people "vandalizing" by spraying glyphs on walls , violance sparking and feeling like they're not in control of themselves anymore. Journalists and news dismissing it as just another social problem for the youth. Reports of people forming Pax cults and worshiping him because they have realized they have no other options to get out of their loops. This would imply Pax was in fact very much real.
So the "Tuckersoft becomes a unethical software/hardware company" ending and "Pax wins and gets worshiped" ending would have been a nice addition. Both would have had the message "Bandersnatch is evil and is not meant to be completed." thereby giving the viewer the belief that maybe Stefan smashing his computer or spilling tea on it or even taking his medicine is preferable to finishing Bandersnatch in which Pax wins. The moral of the story would be: Some things are not to be finished and get out while you can.

Back in the 90s I remembered a book from goose bumps I think it was called "house of wax" or "wax museum"..
Its the same premise you could choose different path ways or scenarios to get to the book to try and get out of the wax museum alive.. I got lost and killed so many times I give up. never made it out.. it was interesting though..

Charlie Brooker is an absolute genius. One day people talk about him like we talk about Stephen King/Quentin Tarantino etc.
