im gunna be honest... im playing solo, the fighting is subpar, not very good. the ideas are cool, but the combat lacks weight to it. just kinda bland. and makes it hard to go back to the game i have 10 hrs in and i dont see it getting better as of yet. that said... i do love all other aspects of the game so far... i really hoping the map is not cookie cutter, (where they take the same village and or ruins and paste the same thing around the map 50+ times). i LOVE THE LEVELING. love the grinding. but that combat im just stuck on it. maybe co-op will be better and more fun.

Me and my mate went raiding. There was 1 defending in a base. He was repairing his walls as we were breaking them. For every 3 hits he repairs 2 of them.
They were then placing more and more walls behind as we were trying to break through.
The barrier gates with 6000hp? The ones that have such a high health pool from the moment you place one they gain hp back at a higher rate then a solo can damage it? They can double stack them and repair them while your breaking it. Then later once you get in they can simply run around and place another down locking you inside their base.
Or you can play in a group where these issues arent a problem anymore.
Dont play this game solo/duo.. your ultimately going to end up frustrated.

i feel like for solo mode there should be creative mode, hopefully theyll add it in the future
People complaining about the UI is crazy to me. The UI and menu’s are 100x times better than Ark was on release and 1000x better than Conan. Yeah there’s a lot of menus to navigate but after playing like an hour you get use to it. Probably one of the best survival games ive played in early access. My only complaint is the hit registry on enemies sometimes but I think that’s mostly from server lag on official servers
I don't care either way. However comparing UI that was bad, from years ago is actually crazy. You compare new games to what is available and good today
I am absolutely in love with this game! I stopped supporting Snail games and this is a fantastic replacement for Ark (never purchased ascended).
It would be awesome to have a 'solo' tree like in Icarus to have a skill point to have 1-2 more followers.

how do you turn off the bag drop on death? im playing single player and i am looking thru the advanced setting and i dont see it. what is it called?
On the right in advanced settings where the switches are, at the very bottom theres a setting that lets you enable the death pack spawning where you revive. So you dont have to run back to where you died

but moving your units is manual

You only explained it for a single player server. You can’t turn off none of that decaying bullshit in an official server. PVP OR PVE.

If you are the admin and have password, yes you can.

@@TOXICGURR Most folks don't play official servers on these games, in my experience. It's too easy to run your own server on your own machine with your own rules. I have a dedicated server running V Rising from my computer 24/7 for others, even though I don't play nearly as often after "beating" it. There is no hit to my machine for doing so, and it gives people a "home" with rules they like. So there's that route.
I found Soulmask quite awkward to start, ive played hundreds of hours of Conan and other Survival games, but this one I couldnt find a footing in and refunded within 2h :T

Loses me with the server settings for SOLO play.. Enshrouded does it right and actually gives you ZERO options and just BALANCES THE GAME.
Since this game offers so many ways to play, it's just right to give the player the option to tweak the settings to his personal liking.

It's not the game's biggest selling point for sure (for now). The animations do need a lot of work tbh. Each weapon type has basic attack combos and about eight weapon arts,Enemies and boss barbarians also use weapon arts, bosses have special moves like grabs.
It's more ambitious and detailed than Valheim, but not necessarily better (yet)
I think its alright for an early - early access game, but if you expect very smooth and polished combat right now I'd hold off for now
