I actually tell my friends im a Dj but all i do is organise Rekordbox
I bet those playlists are sick though
Rekordbox is unmatched when it comes to library managment and its powerful related tracks tools. If lexicon was a dj app it would be unmatched too. These two give you the freedom and flexibility to explore your library in creative ways....that i'm slowly discovering in Vdj but when not very well. Vdj just doesn't have much in the way of managing your playlists.
😂
@@Desmondtututwo What really makes me hard is vinyl mockups in Photoshop. 😵
Thank you Chris M I'm really greatful leaning from you and it has changed alot since i started watching your videos once again thank you, because I know you put lots of time energy and effort into this videos and most of all your clean heart to give us what we can't figure out ❤
Love this type of video Chris keep them coming thankyou
The video I was waiting for for months... let's hear it!!!
Thanks Chris for another tip!
Gold advice , thanks
THANKS VERY MUCH.. THIS IS WHAT I NEED. TODAY WAS THINK ABOUT DELETING ALL MY LIBRARY
Last tip is great!
It's funny that your best "Bowel Movement" in the last month is called "Tearing Me Apart."
I lolled @ 04:00. Good vid Chris.
This video got no business being so funny Chris
Haaaaa you got me dying over here good video mane!!!
Thanks for the Smart Play List but not having a Mac I am on a PC. Still a great video for Intelligent Play List..
You're hilarious and so helpful, thank you so much lmao
Great videos, inspired me to clean out and restart the org of my library using your engird method and intelligent playlists. One issue is that they don't seem to like sync'ing and updating to my mobile phone version of record box. Real pain as I do a decent amount of curation when I'm on the move and then replicate back into my Mac. The tags and everything update fine, but the contents of the playlist to reflect the new energies (or things left to analyse) stubbornly refuses to update. Seen this before?
Here for the tech house shade 😂
I have my music on my local laptop then on dropbox, and then a folder called "moved from cloud" on my local laptop as well, is there a way to consolidate everything so the tracks are not everywhere? I think it is because i have a new laptop and i cloned my old laptop to my newer one. The file storage locations don't affect the tracks, however when i go to double-click and play a track that says it's uploaded to the cloud it does take a while to pull up as it download from dropbox. Any suggestions?
i swear to god that i am too lazy to do everything you teach on these videos but they are platinum level of intel and soon enough i will make my usb drive invincible. Thank you!
I believe in you 🔥
@@ReallyChrisM Question though, i have all my music analyzed and all my metadata is on a usb drive which is made in rekordbox the lazy way, just dragged everything over to that usb drive, how could I move all of it in my pc to make it the root of my rekordbox?
Probably the easiest way is to do a library backup / restore. There's a vid on the channel to help :) @@iahimvictor
Most of my songs doesnot show the genre. Can you help me to tag genre automatically
I keep my genres separated in different folders as a highest level of organization, and all of them also have their playlist. Does that make sense?
It's a bit annyoing tho since Rekordbox can't automatically load them into the playlists when I copy a new music into these folders.
Let's throw a party with only Bowel Movements Music
So basically in need to switch from from Serato because library management is not their priority.
But it is not possible for USB, right?
Thank you! I have one question. How to organise music by bpm and key ?
You can also use intelligent playlists for this, just change the first dropdown to your desired option 👍
Hey Chris, I see that most of your Inteligent playlist are tidal tagged is this the only way that you can create this type of folder, and also will my music have to be on my computer or can do this from an external as well?
The Intelligent playlists will work with any kind of track - streaming or local/external drive which is part of your main RB library.
The key thing to be aware of is you won't be able to *export* any tracks within that playlist which are from streaming services to a USB (for the most part).
Chris is hating on Engine 🤣
Is there a function, where i can sort, or show every track in my library/collection, who's not already in any playlist? But without having to check every single track on its own. Who can be frustrating when you have hundreds of tracks in your collection.
Or a function who shows you in which/or in how many playlist each tracks is already included.
I search for something like that for years
I don't believe so but that sounds like it'd be handy. How would you use it, to clear out tracks?
@@ReallyChrisM
too bad.
yes, i know that there is a function where you can select a track and it shows in which playlist it can be found. but unfortunately it is far too uncomfortable and absolutely not user-friendly.
exactly, that would be my idea and wish. to sort out tracks that i already have in a podcast, for example. or to see which tracks may not yet be in any set or podcast.
It would be great to have a clear overview of this function or to visualize it using filters.
Or that it could be created directly via the automatic intelligent playlist function.
if you find out anything here, or if someone from your community knows something, i would be very grateful for tips and advice.
I subscribed to news letter but can't find auto tag feature to download
You will have received a welcome email with it in - check your spam
Can you use this concept with the key of the tracks?
sure can!
bowel movement lol
also this this is cool and all but every dnb track i have is tagged Drum & Bass lol so that won't help, also i'd rather manually do it since I won't be missing anything as automation can sometimes miss things.
Yes always worth checking - but hopefully this can help catch the majority 🤖
@@ReallyChrisM ye this could be helpful for some people for sure, great video though keep em coming :)
The description on the USB formatting video was also telling me to buy a Mac 😂
I don’t work for Apple honestly 😇
Please tell me i mis-heard bowel movement playlist? 😂😂😂
I wish there were actual parameters that actually fit my set lists 😂
Bowel movement lol
It's the shit 😂
but pc is faster?
Chris - you are an Engineer, right?
Nope 👷♂️
Lol don’t shade on a PC users ;) as you can add more ram easier and less expensive to use stems …
Haha "delete tech house tracks" 😂 2009 was the worst year for dance music because of the tech house bandwagoning
i hope to one day have my tracks in the bowel movement playlist
It's a dream many producers have
