Can we just take a moment to appreciate how beatifully designed in their logic and simplicity is this kind of traditional architecture that fits the terrain and makes comfortable homes in a rather harsh environment?
Thank you so much!! To be honest I wasn’t sure how the stones would turn out. But you’re right, it definitely pays to trust the process! Thanks for watching :)
Beautiful! I get so tired of dioramas of dilapidated buildings from the Depression that are overdone on YT. You nailed the colors and scale, and the flowers and shrubs accented the bold blue and stark white exteriors perfectly. I've subscribed.
Lovely job! Had a neighbour who decorated the whole exterior of his house in the gorgeous white and blue Greek island aesthetic. Used to look at it in nostalgic admiration whenever I walked past - memories of idyllic Greek summer holidays. And then he sold it, and the new owners not only scrapped the colour scheme, they clad the building in fake stone. 😱😱😱
What a refreshing change from boats, planes, tanks and trains. You have a incredible eye for detail without over doing it. Simple beautiful work! Thanks for sharing your incredible talent.
What a fantastic build! I visited Santorini decades ago and you absolutely nailed the look and feel. So much to admire here, and so many great techniques shared. Very glad I found this channel.
I went to Santorini last September and revisiting this October. You have this spot on mate, right down to the Bougainvillea which grows all over the Island. My wife was impressed with this build as well and is probing me to see if I can have a shot at it 🤔😂
Thank you so much, I’m so glad you like I’m the build! I’ve never been to Greece, so it’s nice to hear that it looks accurate. If you’re looking to build a diorama like this I’d highly encourage it! Lots of fun to make!
Your texture method is actually vary accurate to how some of that is really done. The tool used often is called stomp brush or some say slamp brush (Slap/stomp).
That stucco is amazing. I don't doubt the time that went into it for a second. I've only made a small fireplace with spackle covering it for a stucco like appearance and I was sure it was going to be the death of me 😅 Those flowers also are an amazing idea, they really do look leaps and bounds better than the foam ones. Seeing this finished out in the sun with the shadows casting naturally and the wind wiggling the plants... amazing work, truly.
Thank you!!! I don’t know what I was thinking when I though that the stucco was only going to take a day haha! I think for me seeing the final project in natural light is the most rewarding part! Thanks again for your support :D
Wow, wow, wow! My mund is blown. If I didn't see this video, I would have thought this was a real building. That last shot by the ocean looks so realistic.
I am again blown away with your attention to detail. This has captured the Greek style of beautiful homes and without the comparison of size I would love to live in it. Your days/weeks of work are well appreciated 😊
This is absolutely beautiful! You are a very skilled and gifted artist and I throughly enjoyed watching your craftsmanship. I love miniature things and this was so satisfying to see how you brought it all together.
Using this as inspiration for my NMS build(s). Sooooo pretty!!! I have so many beautiful archipelago planets with blue skies, blue seas, and gorgeous white sand, but 0 ideas on what to build! Your dioramas are so detailed and motivate me to get back to designing and building xD
That is really cool- Only thought one more flower color and the steps and balcony might need a little foot wear. Then possibly a coffee cup left on one of the tables. Then a stick broom for sweeping up the fallen blossoms left leaning on the backside of one of the post. LOL Love it. The stone pavers look amazing.
Amazing work on this! Applying the grout between the stones was very satisfying, and gave a great result! Also appreciate the makers paradox being features, where no matter how accurately and precisely things are planned, modeled, printed, and cut, somehow there is always random gaps that appear! It's just the way
Fantastic work. Something similar to this would make an excellent backdrop for photographing 1/24 scale model cars. I will definitely need to consider something like this in the future.
Thank you!! And yes dioramas are great for model cars! I’m not sure when I’ll get around to it, but I’ve had a few diorama ideas for my model cars that I’ve been saving
I recently started making miniature builds and now knowing how much time it takes to create something like this, this is an incredible build! so much attention to detail! Thanks for sharing info on how you made it. Im excited to see what you make next!
Thank you, I’m so glad you like the diorama! I’m very excited to share my future builds, and wishing you luck with all your projects! Thanks for watching :)
Amazing work! Great commentary and techniques! You really inspire me to start building some small dioramas! I am familiar with 3d printing and I love that you using it in your projects! A small tip is to remove the supports after applying heat with a hair dryer or not so powerful heat gun! ( hot water works too ) Thank you and greetings from Greece 🇬🇷 !
Thank you for the nice compliments and for the 3D printing advice! And I’m so glad to hear you’re inspired to make some projects yourself!! Good luck with your dioramas :)
Thank you! I totally understand about 3D printing being a bit expensive. Thankfully the prices of older but still really nice printers are dropping as newer ones are released. So hopefully you can pick one up for a good price sometime soon! Thanks for watching!
As a Greek I approve of this. The details are insanely accurate.
Wow thank you!!! I’m so glad it’s accurate - I’ve never been to Greece so I did lots of research and tried my best. Thanks for watching!
As someone married to a Greek woman, I also approve!

I agree, I love how the architecture is integrated in the landscape there!
