- In this vlog, I'll give my honest opinion about living in Vietnam in 2023 as a Digital Nomad. I tried living in 3 different cities for 60 days. Watch until the end to see how the lifestyle in Vietnam really is and what is the cost of living, if it's worth it to move there!

Is your girlfriend Philippina?
I love your Podcast. It is very informative, as I am planning a trip to Vietnam. I live in Charleston, SC, USA, but after 20 years of working, I am ready for travel and adventure. Your girlfriend is stunningly beautiful. Does she have a sister?
, LOL...Well done, sir. I hope to learn more from your videos and will be watching them all.
Best,
Chris
Let's get right to the important question: where did you find the girl?
Can you put the link of airbnb you booked in Da Nang?
Vietnam now has 90-day e-visa for most countries.
Nice🙏🏽
Da Nang is literally the best city to live in! People are so friendly and smiling, the vibe of the place is exactly as you defined! I am from India but would really love to live in Da Nang for sometime!
Yeah it's so great!🙏🏽
Not gonna happen red dot

Stay in India please.
I miss Vietnam so much. Vietnam, me love you long time. ❤
"the motorcycle was still not that much affordable, still $4-$6 per day"... one meal in America is $20....
Paid $80 for breakfast for two this past weekend
I also love Da Nang. It's not just the affordable food, but also the friendly people that make it special. Once, I bought "Chả Bò", and the store shipped it to my hotel for free. They also carefully guided me on how to use it correctly.
Yeah Da Nang is the best😍
Vietnam is the most underrated country but one of my favorite places I’ve ever visited. I explored the entire country for a month!!!
Yeah it really is! And same here one of my favorites🙊 What area was your favorite tho?
Thank you for your time and posting. As others have mentioned, a 90-day visa. Plus I have heard Vietnam is working on a retirement visa. :)
Your videos are so good mate, just loads of clear, useful info in a quick fantastically edited format, sweet! 🙏
Thanks so much man🙏🏽
Thanks for your video and all that informations. Looks amazing and we will go there next year and will do a video about it, too. Looks so nice!! 😍

Thank you🙏🏽
Good video, informative, great country!!😊
Thank you😊🙏🏽
I just wanna say the quality of your videos have gotten so much better than when I first started watching you a couple of months ago! 😊 what’s your opinion Vietnam vs Bali??
Thanks a lot😊🙏🏽 Very different but I love both! It really depends on the person and situation which one is better :)
vietnam is a country, bali is an island 😊 maybe compare 2 things that are more equal for an easier comparison
Loved the video. Ive just returned from 3 weeks in Vietnam, loved rhe place. I stayed 6 nights in Hoi An, as well as Hanoi and Saigon. i wish now id have stsyed in da nang instead og Hoi an. I'll be back.
Echo what others have said your girlfriend is very pretty. Made me laugh she happened to be running across the beach when you commented "well put together" or something like that. 😂😂
Thanks a lot!🙏🏽 sounds good! Hahahah
Always amaze with your selection of food at jaw dropping price
Thanks for your review
My pleasure🙏🏽
I agree Da Nang is great plus Hoi An is not far BUT besides the hot weather in the summer there is also the "rainy season" to contend with. I was there last October, near the end of the rainy season, and there were flooding problems often when it rained heavy. Vietnam is growing very fast but the infrastructue is not always keeping up nor well though out. The main roads in cities and the country's lone highway often get flooded and impassable for motorbikes and even automobiles during the rainy season. BTW, 90 day Evisas are available since August 15, 2023
Yes I don't recommend going during the rainy season!
If it means not having to endure another British winter - let alone our magnificent 'summers' - I would stay in year-round rainy seasons. I was in HCMC during July and rainy season really isn't a big deal, basically you know its gonna p1ss it down at about 14:00/15:00 and then its gonna be chill for the next 24 hours. Honestly not a bad deal
@@Sa7biUK You were lucky. Sometimes there arw very bad storms during the rainy season and roads are easily flooded and just humid for months and months. Of course there are worse climates or worse places to live but if you have a choice I would avoid the rainy season.
That so amazing . Now I study and live in Da nang city. Very good
Thank you🙏🏽
👋🏼 Small struggling Travel Channel here. I love your content, thanks for this great video! You inspire me to keep grinding my channel, maby one day I’ll grow as big as you 🥲
Yes you can travel there but you can't move there. By move he means live and be resident unless you're an ethnic Vietnamese. You can get a one month visa or a three month visa , at the end of which you must exit Vietnam.
Great Video I lived in Danang for 3months.Loved every minute of it
Thanks! Nice🙏🏽

Hope you will be happy and love the Vietnamese people. Wellcome to VietNam

Da Nang one my favorites of Vietnam
Me too!🙏🏽
Vietnam looks like an expats dream. Freedom from everything negative about the West. Freedom from the Matrix, Karens, woke, stress, politics. Affordable and fun. Exploratory. Great weather.
I can’t wait to tour it.
Enjoy🙏🏽
It's a great place but it's not paradise. The pollution in major cities can cause Respiratory problems. I got bronchitis. The sanitation in some restaurants is dubious at best. The police won't help you unless you make it worth their time usually, if you understand me. The noise from traffic and construction can become irritating. Cockroaches and rats are prevalent in many places. Motorbikes and pet dogs are often stolen. Scams are common in tourist areas and if you don't use Grab.
With all of that said, I have stayed here 7 months enjoyed it. I plan to visit here much more in the future because the pros definitely outweigh the cons.
@@danforthrhodes8960honest and fair list of cons.
@@danforthrhodes8960always appreciate people's "negative" experiences. Helps manage expectations and balance reality.
I'm interested to visit/live in Vietnam because unlike where I live in the US I can live abroad and pay 3rd world prices for 1st world experiences unlike the US where its 1st world prices for what's becoming more and more 3rd world
@@johnbrown7911 with everything I previously said, I don't see how you conclude 3rd world prices for 1st world products or services. Restaurants, hotels, busses, and apartments are not usually top notch in Vietnam. Customers service and punctuality are also inferior in comparison. Therefore you pay less in Vietnam but you will probably get less compared to the USA or Europe. There are many other examples. That said, Vietnam is still worth visiting if you manage your expectations.
Excellent video. On the list! Nicer long stay than Boracay but the visa and language situation is a set back for sure.
Thank you! Yeah that's true..
Amazing video man! I'm considering staying in Hoi An for a month. Would you recommend? I'm not big on nightlife, mainly just want to experience a slower paced life around locals, culture, and nature. But I may split my time between Da Nang and Hoi An now that I've watched this video!
Thanks! I only spent one afternoon in Hoi An but got a very touristy feel to it. Maybe it's different if actually staying there in a certain area? But yeah Da Nang I really loved for a lomger stay😊🙏🏽
thanks so much man! happy travels!@@JooseTheNomad
@@RaeLarz thanks you too!
exactly the video i was looking for! any areas you would recommend to stay in Da Nang?
Nice! My An was our favorite area😊
Hello what was the name of the place you stayed in Da nang ? Thank you very much for the great video
Babylon Garden :)
Cool conclusion and yes some doesn't speak English ( the dog 😅). I read that the government is working on 90 days visa , from late Marts article .." The PM said most cabinet members agreed with the proposal to raise the validity of e-visas to 90 days (from the current 30 days of Vietnam Visa policy) with single and multiple entries applicable, granting e-visas to citizens of all countries and territories ." So hopefully you can stay 3 months next time 😊
Thanks man! Yeah I heard, that will be awesome🙊
When the law will be passed? Bc for now i see 30 day one is still the only option
@@TheBartek9330 hard to know hopefully soon, we must pray 🙏 and use law of attraction ✨️
@@TheBartek9330 luật đã được thông qua từ ngày 24/6/2023, visa sẽ được 90 ngày.
I did not like crossing that busy road by the beach. Beach roads should designed more calm
Yeaa it can be quite intense😄
Anyone heading to Vietnam soon? I'm a digital marketer/web designer on the lookout for like-minded people to team up with. I am excited to get a lot of work done.
90-day visas are supposed to become an option again from 1st July 2023.
Ooh that would be perfect!!
❤
😊🙏🏽
you must try country Georgia
Why?😊
@@JooseTheNomad firstly thanks for answer, first reason is that georgia is candidate of europe and there is peace and no crime, second reason is that in Georgia we have all four season places for example you can swim in the sea in start on the day and at the end you can go in svaneti, or gudauri, or bakuriani, and play with snow, also there is very delicious foods and very good restaurants in capital city Tbilisi there is lots of co working spaces also in Batumi sea side of georgia, the best benefit is that every city is near to each other for example from tbilis to batumi which is farest destination distance is 300 km and there is very good highway, also prices you can live in georgia for under 1500$ very well you can rent very good flat in tbilisi for 500$ or if you prefer not capital city and some small city like gori you can rent very good apartment for only 200-300$ and gori is still near 50km from tbilisi and there is very good highway too text me on linkedin or in facebook and i would give you more advices if you would be interested in
about visa there you can stay and work without problems for 365 day, and if you do some documents and staff like that you can stay longer and its easy

I got to get to Vietnam again. Thanks for all the info.

Due to the bad situation of tourism towards unfriendly visa for foreigners!
So if you could come back next time, enjoy three-month visa😂😂😂😂
Yeees that's perfect😍🙏🏽
Very informative video. One comment .
Slow down, You talk too fast.
The visa options sucked even more around 2020-2021 after COVID lockdown was lifted and they had the election and new visa rules were in place. I didn't want to go into teaching and a fixer option was so expensive that if I ever had that amount of money needed for it, I'd rather go to South America.
Anybody else have to watch it slowed down because he talks so fast? just me OK
who's that pretty girl with big eyes and long black hair? .:)
