The test for the Rack Version, the V-Synt XT is pretty similar. You just have to hold down (Preview)&(Bank-) Buttons when switching on to get to the menu.

@@Kosmokatze_de So far it has been working perfectly. I played Da 'V' Code for hours (as required by law), spent time favoriting presets (those 64 slots go fast) and started the editing. Next stop: start with an init. Love it.

I had no idea there was a service menu hidden in my trusty old V-Synth!

My v-synth recently started having a big problem, the patches go into a cycle of changing on their own rendering it unusable , any idea what could be a possible fix, thanks.

@@Kosmokatze_de I have gone through most of these tests, seemed to go ok, but does it not give some kind of report if anything bad detected. Anyway its still going crazy changing patches and random buttons flashing, its really annoying.

@@lardosian And the buttons and screen are all OK? Not that something is hanging there and something is always switching?!

@@Kosmokatze_de When I turn it on its ok for around 1 minute, then it starts changing patches and all the lights on the buttons flash. A friend suggested one of the buttons might be stuck. There was one time I was able to stop it by pressing a lot of the buttons but then it started happening again.
