- Well this was a first. Obviously since SJC loves their roadside sirens in trees it looks like this rotator finally gave out after the first rotation. You can see from the scratches on the horn and the intake box, it's worn down to bare metal so it's obviously been doing this for awhile. The siren upgrade is still set for this year and I'm sure this will be addressed. It already looks like a lot of the sirens on the western side of the county have been trimmed back. This is actually the closest 2001 to my house and is over a little mile away on Beech Rd south of the tracks. My home siren now is one of those Elkhart County 508's that is controlled by SJC. Anyway sirens are tested the first Thursday of the month at 1130am. Test was on time today.
When the tree shot goes wrong
Lmao 🤣
Yes
Lmao lol😅💀
The trees have broken the rotator
Nah the rotator is fine, as it has a clutch in it which makes the motor keep running freely if there’s any kind of pressure on the siren’s projector like wind and obstacles
I find it interesting how the pitch of the siren harmonized with my bathroom fan..
If it was a Thunderbolt, it would destroy those branches.
I AM 2001 SRN HEAR ME ROAR..NOTHIG WILL oh ok this tree branch will stop me
I feel bad 😢
Damn that tree branch tho lmfao. Also wtf was up with those tones? lol it sounded like Motorola FSK which I assume was data terminals as ik these use regular Federal Signal FSK
It’s federal FSK. The radio system in this county is so shitty that it mostly comes through as static 😂 If you listen really close you can hear the federal FSK through the static.
@@WarningSirensOfMichiana Yeah I heard it later on, but just a bit of the base (1200Hz) tone and no modulations. Btw, I wonder if y’all know what Fulton FSK sounds like. In case you don’t, it’s like newer ATI FSK but with a much shorter modulation and a base tone, similar to Federal FSK but just higher pitched. My town’s sirens use it as they have Fulton radios and it’s SUPER secure, especially since they have a tone sending out every 48 seconds which is a new encryption code. They also use a secure frequency which only one of my scanners can access
Awesome video❤❤👍🏼❤❤
If it was an Allertor it would blow the Branches away.
Welp time to replace it Jk
it aint broke it got caught on the tree.
It’s the Clutch.
