The only way to make the test more fair, would be to swap the cameras, and try it again. The camera that had the Energizers should be fitted with the ELB cells, and put the Energizer cells in the camera, that had the ELB cells in the first test. My guess is that you'll find, that they're the same cell, from the same factory, in different wrappers. Please WEIGH the cells, and if they're similar, that would (almost) confirm that theory.

Great video I tried these EBL batteries because the energizer batteries are out of control on price . I put them out in. Early august in my SPYPOINT flex cameras they still read 90% on battery life after about 350 pictures. I’m impressed.

Energizer Lithium about 10 months ago was fairly priced, but they have jumped way up since Feb 2022. That being said they were hands down the best battery for my Blink camera system. I'll give this batter a shot a see what happens. I try not to go over the $1.50 mark per. battery. Thanks for the vlog!

I still run the energizer lithium batteries in my cameras. I did give the AA rechargeable lithium batteries (RLB) a try. I tried several different brands of RLB's. Some of the rechargeables did a little better than others. The one thing that killed all of the RLB's, any temperatures below 37 degrees. Once it hits below freezing they all fail in short order. This means i can only run RLB's for the first month of our whitetail season. As we get into October, temps start dropping to cool conditions at night. The one thing that helps me keep my cameras in the field all year is herd360's 15 watt solar panels. I have no affiliation with herd360 other than buying and using his products. With the 25000mah of onboard battery power, if i get the solar panels in the right sunlight my cellular game cameras will last over 6 months on a single set of energizer lithium AA's. That with the cameras take 500 - 10000 pics a day. Like you indicated in your video, solar is the best thing out to keep camers in the field. If you really want to have fun, buy a solar power build kit and make your own massive array. 😊

What I'd like to see is how the EBLs perform in the real cold. I use Energizer Lithiums and they are the BOSS in the cold up here in Canada where we routinely get -20 (celcius) temps. However they are expensive so I'd love to find a more affordable alternative without sacrificing performance, hence my interest in the EBL's. Any chance you could somehow simulate a (very) cold weather test? 😉 Thumbs up BTW, and I've subscribed so I can be notified of your response. 😉

  • @JnJTrueOutdoorAdventures

Very interesting information, Dave. I haven't looked into those kinds of batteries. I have always used alkaline batteries in my cameras, and one reason was the cost. But in my defense, I had never heard of the one-time lithium batteries, I had only heard of the rechargeable. Honestly, the rechargeable was out of my budget when it comes to batteries. I may look more into these one-time use lithium batteries. I have saved them on my Amazon list. Thanks for sharing. Juddie - J & J TOA

The cheapest i can find Energizer lithium batteries is $24 at my local wally world. I think the price of these things is just getting totally ridiculous. Thus i have sworn off lithium batteries and am converting everything to solar panels with plain old alkaline batteries. Thats the ONE thing I like about Spypoint. They make cell cams with integrated solar panels. 'Course then you might have to deal with their customer service which is never a positive experience.

I bought two spypoint microLink LTE cameras in November and then in January I bought their lithium battery packs to each for each camera. Let me rephrase that two battery packs per camera so I can have one charge to take out with me when it died and I do not know how my pictures I have taken on those two cameras. Since then the one I changed out it was at 24% and the other one I have it is still at 56% and the second one on the other camera is at like 54% and I have my pictures being taking every 5 minutes. The cameras were 79 each and the battery packs were $49 each when I purchased them and now that camera right now because they came out with a new 5. Flex that microlink is on sale for $69 and the battery packs are on sale for $39. I've had no issues with the cameras. I think it's a great app that I can see all those pictures on my phone so take it. I'm happy with what I have. I hope everybody else is happy with what they purchase!
