Glad you decided to do this, it's always fun to get your outsider perspective on 40k stuff! I feel like with a few of the suggestions I can tell they're things that 40k players especially hate because of lore/game context and seem more egregious than they are because of that - for example the Night Scythe was really op and spammed when it first game out and everyone was fed up of fighting them, so that became the 'flying croissant army' and if you're a 40k player who was around then that association taints the model in your mind to be more absurd than it otherwise would feel. Likewise with the Jokaero Weaponsmith (monke) and Desolators

Oof; those Warp Spiders were one of my first purchases when I was 10 and starting 40k… in 1995. Those sculpts are truly ancient.
