Beat up 'ol husqvarna 36 that I swapped a ported poulan 4620/295 into. 14" bar in about 8" & 5" wood, nothing big, but I'll just be using this as a lightweight limber anyway.
For Oregon bars it uses the A041 tail mount. It has a 8.2mm bar slot. It should be 3/8 pitch low profile .050" gauge chain. Some swapped over to .325" pitch chain so you'd have to verify.
Any of the poulan p600 engine family can be swapped in. Poulan 2500, 2600, 2700, 2750, 2775, 3050, PP255, PP295, PP4620, PP310, PP315 can all be swapped into a husqvarna 36,136,141, or 142 as far as I know. There may be others, but I'm not aware of any myself.

I should, but I don't. I used a good running motor from a junk 46cc poulan 295. The one thing nice about these clamshell saws, once the clutch is off the whole motor just comes out. Literally a straight swap. For everything else I just used the existing husqvarna stuff..... muffler, carb, partition, everything bolted right back on. Only thing I swapped was the motor itself, a direct bolt in. Any of the poulan p600 engine family can be swapped in. I liked the husqvarna anti-vibe much better and it's fun to hand someone a clapped out 36cc saw that's actually almost 50cc.
@@wojciechszymanowski they're all from the same family though. You could use the bigger bore piston and cylinder on top of an existing good crank if you wanted
I still have one, bought new in the early nineties, used regularly. Cutters aren't hard to come by, at least in Australia. Cheap, too.
One of my favourite saws the 36 😁
Ain't gotta be big as long as it gets the job done. Goes for more than just saws.
Nice
What guts did you put in it? 346xp?
DavidRWymore a ported poulan pro 4620/295. 46cc motor. One of my earlier port jobs, I think I could wring a little more out of it now ;)
😍
Where did you find the bar for that?? I'm having difficulty finding one. Would you be able to help point me in the right direction? Thanks

Wow what you done to that?. I’ve had a 136 & 36 and no of them have cut or sounded as good as that!! 👏
I cheated 😉 haha
It's got a ported 46cc Poulan Pro 4620/295 engine in it.

Does a Poulon 3300 work for the swap aswell?
No, it will not work. The 3300 is a traditional "cylinder on top of crankcase" design, the p600 family are all clam shell design.

Cool! I have an old 36 as well. Do you have a build thread anywhere?

@@samishsawworks5870 were You swapping only cylinder and the piston? Or everything with the camshaft included?
@@wojciechszymanowski since it's a clam shell design, I just transplanted the whole engine as one full assembly. Cylinder, piston, & crank.

We have one and can’t find a blade 0.58 .325 :(
Are you looking for a bar, chain, or both?
