REAL IRA + MI5 SECRETS REVEALED

  • Revealing how MI5 was tracking the phones of the Real IRA/Continuity IRA bomb team, as they drove from Co Louth in the Irish Republic, to Omagh Co Tyrone where they planted a 500lb car bomb. Twenty nine people and two unborn children died, Hundreds were injured. No one has ever been convicted. Grieving families still seek the truth. They believe the bomb could have been prevented. They have called for a public inquiry on the island of Ireland, North and South. This film led to a Government inquiry. Unsurprisingly, the judge-led inquiry exonerated MI5.

Say what you like about Blair, he hit the ground running with NI and did a damn good job after John Major and the Tories dragged their heels for 18 months during the ceasefire, squandering peace to keep his orange/unionist mandate needed at the next GE. Blair took it on so fair play to him, regarding his decisions on other matters like Iraq however, well that's a different ball of wool.

@Charlene Falls So your presumably protestant uncle was killed by another likely protestant from the RUC, as most of them were? Confirms my suspicions that the extremists on both sides are pretty indiscriminate. I'm English and grew up during the resurgence of violence in the 90s, as small scale as it might have been in comparison. I've always just hated the fact we only ever hear about violence and bombings, nothing about the day to day struggles. It sort of reinforces their point that their terror tactics work better than talking, and it's disgusting. Always the innocent average bloke or lass who suffers in the end.

Personally, I believe the reason gchq did not pass the info on is because it was in the polices interest not to. What I mean by this is.. The police lacked a lot of power in them days, it was probly something said within stations across the country that "if only we had a big attack, maybe the home secretary will give us more power and rights". I know it sounds sick but why would the government stop something from happening, that's actually going to be benifit them. Things is, by these attacks happening the public go from not wanting police to have more powers, to full blown 'do what you've got to do to make us safe!'. A sick world we live in.. Says it all when our health system, be it doctors or hospitals have to put profit before the wellbeing of it patients 🤔😔 so messed up

I think the reason they didn't pass it on was because their methods were illegal, and they wouldn't have been able to use any of it in court. It would have been very easy for a barrister to spot the tell tale signs of intelligence beyond the normal boundaries, and anything that came from that info would have been considered fruit of the poisonous tree and as such wouldn't have been allowed. The alternative would have been for GCHQ to provide an anonymous tip..... then they wouldn't have been implicated and there would have been no legal reason for CID not to follow up on it.

A Poem for the Post Brexit Trouble Makers who want another Security Clamp Down and Scapegoat :-
The Media Said While The Troubles Marched Past
    They are marching past
    The troubles once again
Because the troubles did not last
Trying to reawake the troubles of then
    With a Molotov Cocktails blast
    Awaking memories troubled when
Catholic and Protestant were the cast
    Labeling one the troubles men
While parading a flag on a mast
It is easy to create a trouble
Not a trouble to another man
How do you identify a catholic in the rubble
When a protestant could toss the bomb and can
The finger points at the once again humble
As they march past yet once again
Are you sure it was a catholic rumble
Or thrown by a provocateur from the marching clan
So the trouble can raise the trouble and tumble
So if you are troubled by the trouble
Look elsewhere to see the hand
Who wants again to control the crumble
And march past a foreign band
So all can blame for all the trouble
And the innocent again wear the brand
The last name risen from all the rubble
And the oppressor paints them self real grand.

My late brother in law was quite high up in the GCHQ hierarchy at that time. This is what he told me :
He, along with his colleagues, were part of a section dealing with the monitoring of Irish terrorists. At some point they were confident that they had identified the bomb run and the target ( Omagh. )
This information was then passed up the chain of command to Francis Richards ( GCHQ Director ) who then was required to notify Downing Street, which he did.
He in fact had to request permission from Blair himself to share what intel they had gathered. The word came back via Jonathan Powell, Blair's Chief of Staff : "Do nothing. Sit on it."
My brother and his colleagues were sickened beyond belief. If he had've took it upon himself to tip off the RUC, he would have been charged under the Official Secrets Act
Information came back later that the main reason that Blair ( after consultation with US President Clinton ) had blocked the sharing of intel was because the British Government needed an atrocity in order to strengthen the fledgeling peace process.

I never supported the I.R.A but now its been years since the troubles I have come out and support Sinn Fein in bringing about a united Ireland. I belive those in the Protestant Loyalist comunities have an absolute right to march, parade have the union jack fly where ever they so wish they are Irish as much as I am. But I will always belive the 6 counties should never have any interference from Britain in the past in the present and in the future.

OK, we will hand you all back to the EU, and the majority in N Ireland can go and whistle in the game of democracy... You lot just don't understand democracy until it works for you and then you are all over it like a rash. When the majority vote to return to S Ireland then the status quo remains. Its called democracy...........

Richard Sinclair hes not saying to give anything to anyone, he is merely stating his view on the situation, now if you cant tell the difference between a statement and an opinion your clearly wasting your own time let alone ours.
