The mrudangam is none other than Palani Subrahmanyam 8:40 Pillai who followed the Pudukkotai Style and created history in those days. The special sangatis by LGJ is appreciated. The music by sri Madurai Mani iyer is very excellent
Its indeed lalgudi playing violin and TK Murthy at mirudagam. The main ragam is shamugapriya. Excellent Rtp. The concert lasts for four nd half hrs. I have the full concert rendition. After seetapate, he will sing suryamurte.

One curious question - Do violinist know the pattern before or he follows the singer real time??
No, the violinist does not know the pattern ahead of time. Careful observing and keen musical sense make for a successful accompanist.
By experience you can guess the pattern but you are not sure. Musical sense and keen attention to main singer's music can help you and Lalgudi Sir is an expert in that and can give idea's to main singer with Sir's accompaniment.

No, it is Lalgudi Jayaraman. The bowing and phrasing are very characteristic of his playing.
Super concert. Mridangam might be mahavidwan c s murgaboopathy or mahavidwan palani. I am not feeling mahavidwan Murthy sir style in this. What a rendition by mahavidwan Sri mani iyer and excellently followed by mahavidwan jayaramiyer. Super.
