Wells power in the last 3rd of the race was mind blowing!!
Yeah Wells steroids kick in the last 20 metres lol
Alan P. Thompson Very amusing.
Alan P. Thompson he wasn't on steroids
At last Mr Morrow. We agree on something.
@@carlmorrow1600 😅😅😅Well doped he was!
Carl Lewis never had his ass handed to him like that in his career.
He was injured.
@@waynehentley4332 He won the long jump.
@@adelef8280 Yes but which event came first? The official line was that Lewis insisted on running the 100, although he had a tweaked muscle.
@@waynehentley4332 Who the hell cares, he got wasted here, he eased up because Wells and Obeng were way ahead of him. Lewis was a bad loser.
@@waynehentley4332 Stupid. He took the water in when Obeng blew him away with his pick up.
Good footage.
I’d be stoked to run 10.96
Obeng thought he had it.
And he was wrong, very wrong!!
Lewis had inflamed his halmstring winning the long jump less than an hour before this race. He had been struggling with his hamstring since the meet in Oslo two months earlier. The US team chose not to use their backup runner, Stanley Floyd, who was having a lacklustre season and probably would not have challenged for the win anyway. Earnest Obeng was an amazing starter who always faded at the end of the 100m.
Lewis was fit or he would not have run. Obeng's pick up made him quit. Lewis would have pulled up at the first 50 if he had issues His heart string and drugs were not to good then.
When sprinters were clean. Except Allan Wells.
When it all boils down, who had the better career in this video.
Why did Carl slow down at the end?
I think he knew he lost not sure if he was injured to. He was only 20 years old was his 1st international race on the big stage.
@@alanp.thompson156 I don’t think he was injured, he won the long jump. Wells and Obeng were too far ahead for him.
Wells was to strong for the USA weak sprinters
Lewis too arrogant to hand it over to Floyd, no matter, Wells would’ve still won it.
Pish. Wells was the man Lewis. Was a fanny
I reckon Lewis knew ...unless there’s a little juicing there’s no success ...,84 ....a joke and a lot of well hidden positive tests ..
Lewis just quit. I hate it when a sprinter just gives up running just because they are behind and aren't going to win.
Don’t talk pish. Wells was too strong
That's just there excuse for losing, as in ,"i didn't even try" !
Lewis said in his book that he faked an injury just so he could go home before the tour was over. He admitted it, brought it up.
