Re the VAT in fuel, CONFIN - the formation of the council with just finance ministers - met last December and changed the rules on VAT in Fuel. Poland and Spain have now cancelled VAT in fuel - the UK (no longer in the EU) retains it. So more brexit bollox
And the French government have effectively put in a windfall tax on their energy companies to limit the pain to French consumers, all while being full members of the eu. Hmm remind me again of what the point of Brexit was?

Despite Poland and Belgium suspending vat following the eu changes it's rules at short notice. So why we couldn't do that even now in the light of new information is beyond me,
