Dude.... Cody. This is awesome, and is so true to my own experience of the world. Thank you for sharing this man.
I’m so glad it resonates. Sometimes when my mind is going a million miles an hour toward an idea, or similarly when I am thinking about 10 things all at once, and still browsing social to find more to think about - remembering this framing helps give me perspective and understanding.
Yes man. I can't wait to show this video to my wife. I bet she's going to laugh at how true-to-life even the content of your reply is to mine. I've got like thirty tabs open right now, my moleskin notebook standing by for idea scribbles, and am going back through a couple of books for ideas on how to implement story structure in vlogs.
That's something even on day three of posting videos that I am stoked about daily vlogs. It really does activate that Hunter side that can focus all that frantic energy. It really teaches you about yourself. Thanks again man.
That lake looks amazing... As someone who lives with ADHD I really appreciate you talking about it on here. It’s not something to hold you back in life, it’s a gift / a tool to use to be successful in life.
Thanks Tucker! I appreciate you!!!!!
This is a GREAT way to describe ADHD. Very accurate in my experience.
I think I am a farnter ......that doesn't read well but I think I am a little of both. Just wanted to say that the fact you vlogged everyday of your vacation shows your dedication and lazer focus on the golden ring and just speaks for its self. You ROCK Cody...top shelf.
Maybe you are a Hunmer! :-D Either way! Thank you so much Joe!! I appreciate you so much!!
Very well done and a great message!
I haven’t got ADHD but I can really relate with how you explain what it feels like. I hope you all had a great trip 😊
Looks like you hade a great vacation and what a cool clip at the end to sum it up
Nice!! Loved the ending montage buddy :) hope you had fun
You nailed it again here! Great way to frame it.
Beautiful video, man.
I don’t have ADHD, but I can relate to that hunter mentality.
Great thinking!
Nice video btw
Thank you Cody, great explanation :)
Thank you thank you!! What a great parable that provides a respectful, positive outlook on how brains work. I have to minimize distraction in order to work. Once I reach the quiet focus zone I can get tons and tons done. Anyway, i related and I loved the closing water fun shots. Looks like you had a hell of a vacation!
Thank you!! Yes - minimizing distractions is so key! And the vaca was a blast!
Oh Dang!!! I might be a little of both at times!!! Great video once again! I am pumped!!!!!!!
If I was a farmer, I would get bored.... So I need the hunter drive to keep me focused and motivated to keep my attention on things, life, everything.... 👊
You need patience and sit in one spot being quiet for a long time. Can you do that?
Awesome vid! Motivation!!!!!!
THIS IS SPOT ON. I remember you talking about this on that live interview you did. This is literally it.
All these videos from your vacation wanna make me try wake boarding.
Peter Mckinnon sent me here and Wow...This Is Very Precious Content. I love Your Story Telling..
Loved it!
Such a great explanation. Of You.
Beautiful Code & Montage -💥
I find that my adhd mind works like a Ferrari. There are so many thoughts and ideas racing around and I just grab random ideas. See the problem is my Ferrari mind has no brakes. Your analogy totally makes sense as well...it's a new one to me. Thanks. Great vid!
Discovered you over at Story Greenlight! Awesome channel and content, subbed! 😎
Very empowering. It's funny how much perspective can Empower us or cripple us. Great video.
Thank you for this !
You’re welcome!!
It’s day 4 of the daily vlog for me and it makes you become more accountable to your day. It’s weird...
For sure!
I’ve been waiting for this video ever since 5:00 (ur usual upload time in my zone 😁)
Haha sorry I was late!!!
This hits the nail on the head. For people with ADHD attention works only in extremes. We can't control what we focus on, our brain decides that for us. It goes from attention being completely spread to hyper focus in the blink of an eye.
Cody... man we resonate so much.
I am not formally diagnosed with ADHD but I do conform to every tendencies that you described.
Sometimes I really do hate myself; hence losing my essence in pits of despair whilst I see those farmers chipping away at their tasks; being productive.
Never have I realised that I was born a hunter; precisely of which after watching your video I've realized a whole deeper part of myself.
Thank you!
YES! Perfect way to explain it to those who are farmers!
Cody is amazing
Great words!
Thank you! Upload more pls
YES!! YES YES YES!! This is perfect. This is my life, perfectly explained.
Dude! My ADHD has been with me forever. I was nuts as a kid lol. It can drive my wife and friends mental! Hunters for life!
Hey brother! To be honest, I think I'm a farmer, but that doesn't mean that I won't succeed, but we all have different personality traits. I actually love to have a mission for the day and once I have done I feel good, but on other days I manage not to accomplish it, but I won't feel bad about myself, but just make the best out of it I guess :)
Winny out...for now ;)
Oh yes! We all use our different traits to crush! That’s what is so great!
Cynthia Ryan somehow I like to keep a list of things that I have to do...even if I don't accomplish them all, but I at least did SOMETHING :) although, I gotta admit that sometimes I feel bad that I didn't and would ask myself questions like why didn't you wake up earlier? Sometimes I'm correct and sometimes I'm wrong, but if I had to boil it down to one thing...it's DOING and that's it.
Winny out...for now ;)
1:06 I rewind it like 5 times until I finally saw it, wow
it was MUCH easier to see in person!!!
especially, since you have superhuman laserunicorn focus skillz
Great montage. Bye-bye, beard. :-)
Very interesting & Sweet as Montague 👊 shame vacation over
And that's great you looking forward to work 👍
💚 PEACE LOVE LIGHT 💚
I was diagnosed with ADHD 30 years ago. I always thought it was a blessing not a disorder. I didn't know it was a THING until the internet. ADHB, BITCHES!
Quality!
I dig this! 🙌 I'm thinking I might have the form of adhd without the hyperactivity because I've always felt this way with every single thing in life, but am too focused on the next thing to think about why. Only recently I started doing more research into it thanks to your videos and am hoping this year to learn more about what makes me tick and find out if it's related to a form of adhd. 🤔⚡🦄🔥
Yess! That self awareness and discovery - absolutely love that!! Too focused on the next thing to to think about why!! YESSS! Me for 28 years of my life lol.
There is not form of ADHD without hyperactivity. The ADHD mind itself is hyperactive. It thinks fast and moves fast. It moves on fast too. But, you may not have external presentations of hyperactivity, but it could be internal for you.
I figured out on my own that I had ADD back in 2005 while doing my mental health rotation in nursing school. It's also how I figured out that mt youngest daughter had ADHD and my oldest had ADD. Everything you said completely describes me. Noticing every detail, zeroing in with laser focus, relentless in your pursuit to figure things out. The way it was explained to me is that you have all this incoming stimuli (like you said taking in everything about the picture) but the synapses in your brain don't fire like they are supposed to, therefore they don't make a complete connection. Soon you become overwhelmed from taking in all this stimuli, but because you don't know which incoming stimuli to pay attention to you focus on something you want to do rather than what it's expected of you (like job, bills, and of course being on time). That's where the laser focus comes from though...somewhere in your brain that synapse fired, so that's where your focus goes and you end up tuning out all the rest of the incoming stimuli to focus on that one thing. I loved this video and your explanation of what our means for you. Thank you!
Perspective is key and if it's possible to reframe and change your mindset about something (I understand it might not always be possible but that's worth exploring/trying) then it can help a lot ... Seeing things differently changes you over time.
So good once again!! Definitely a hunter
When I saw the light spot in the first image and then you showed it was a dear I found that cool 1:11 I saw it but didn’t recognise it was a dear I thought it was just a bright spot
We are focused, but not on what people expect us to be focused on. Most of the times I appear to be “daydreaming” between periods of hyper focus, I am running the “last chase” through my mind, figuring out how it could have went better. Then I start to plan the next chase. I spend hours in my head planning my moves and imagining every possible action they may take before they made them. Only once I determine it will be a win, I pounce. (Let’s just say I don’t start arguments unless I already know I will win.)
It has evolutionary value and this is a logic explanation. Its so missunderstood. I have also a incredible ability for details and recognizing, analyzing, judge and scanning my environment for potential gains or dangers.
You always have a way to impress me with your shots.
Thank you!
I have adhd I took ritaline for 9 years until 16 year old I’m now 32 and still need to do something everyday cannot stay home do nothing maybe that’s why I upload 560 video in the last 4 years ;)
Fire
I’m hungry! 💪✌️
This made me so happy!!! 👊🏻
R Cody Wanner 🤜🤛
The hunter vs farmer philosophy is so important to understand. It makes so many problems in today’s society explainable. Even the division in a big part of todays world.
I think like a hunter, and I eat like one too. Meat, no plants.
Im very passionate, but sometimes i feel so drained not sure if im a hunter or farmer tho 🤷 my friends, family and teachers as a very distracted person so not sure whoops

No! Sounds great!
Man, that has a name, and it’s called DRD4-7R allele mutation from 40.000 years ago.
