Thank you for stopping by to watch our 2014 Toyota Rav4 front bumper removal. This mini-SUV is very popular and extremely reliable. We expect nothing less from Toyota. Toyota also has a great practice to put all their products through rigorous testing while keeping very simple. This bumper is super easy to remove. Obviously, our customer was in a minor collision and need her bumper and passenger fender replaced. We'll do our best to show the detailed steps to remove this from the bumper cover.
TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need an 8mm socket wrench and a panel clip removal tool. If you do not have a panel clip removal tool, you can use a flat-head screwdriver as a substitute. That is what we used instead.
PROCESS:
God bless Toyota, this will be a very quick and simple bumper removal process for you. We dove in and went straight for the fender liners. There is a fender molding piece held on by a couple of push-pins. Remove those with your flat-head screwdriver or panel clip removal tool. Remove the 8mm bolt securing the fender to the bumper and you are one-third of the way done. We could not work on the opposite side because it was held on by zip-ties due to the accident but just repeat on the other side. We then moved to the bottom of the bumper and removed the lower bolts and clips. We always like to end our removals with the top part of the bumper. You never want to have the bumper fall on you or down pulling the wire harness. Remove the top of the bumper or grille. It is held on by a few bolts and screws. Because our bumper was broken on the other side, it just fell off. Normally, you would have to pull it off on each end. If your Rav4 has fog lights, make sure you unplug that as well. We hope this removal video helped you out with time and money.

Great video! Thanks heaps for going out of your way to make it, will help alot!
Glad it helped!
great job
thanks
Thanks for watching and please subscribe! 🤘
Hey thank you so much for posting this. Figured i can save a lot of money by just buying an aftermarket pre primed part and having it painted and avoiding all the labor fees with removing the old one and installing it and just do everything myself but the painting.
Question if you could. I've notice none of these come with the metallic accents and the toyota logo. I'm assuming it is possible to just remove those parts from the old bumper cover and install them in the new one?
Thanks in advance!
Thank you, we know the audio is a little bad but we made it so folk could save. From what I recall, the the emblem is easy to remove but I am unsure about the chrome pieces on the top grille. Thank you for watching!
can i exchange the from bumper for the new box of rav4 2019?
Great question! Probably not. The hood & fenders range from 2013-2018, so you could more than likely swap for the 2018 bumper. The 2019 has completely different style and very unlikely unless you do major modifications. Thanks for watching!
did the car have fog lights?
I have a 2015 one trying to do the same thing.
It's a great car and hopefully it works out well for ya. The removal was pretty quick and if you got it off, the install should be a breeze. Thank you for watching!
what is the name of the piece that fell on the floor?
Are you referring to the front bumper cover? You can get that at www.Revemoto.com
Thank you for the video. I wish your mike was on your body because the one you used didn't pick your voice up properly. Also, the music made it even more difficult to hear what you said.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, we're using a new mic now so hopefully it helps for our future videos. Thanks again for watching and if you need a painted replacement car parts don't forget to visit us revemoto.com. Cheers! 🍺
Next time use a mic. Can’t hear anything with background noise
Yeah sorry about that. We finally got a mic on our videos. If you need any parts for your car go to www.ReveMoto.com
Hi friend, how are you? Can you tell me if I get a whole front of the Rav4 model 2018 with all the radiator... Will it fit the 2015 model...change the rav model 15 to model 18
It should fit
Audio definitely needs some work
Yeah, we had some learning pains for sure.
