Probably would could have them wear a harness and then attach a grip attachment to the top, so the pressure isn’t on their neck but then again it kinda defeats the purpose…but then again he really might be able to just do it. I’m a big guy like 6’5 260 and I can fit my hand around my head, and I have a big ass head lol. And I’m sure Brian’s hands are bigger than mine…so a 150lb person with a smaller head, bald, and chalk their head up I think he really could lmao but the grip honestly would seriously hurt them lol
Brian might be a small dude who can't lift much, but his wholesomeness and sincereness might be the strongest things in the universe.
His big heart makes up for his lack of size and lifting ability.

Brian is tiny, I look down at him when we talk and I can eat x2 more food than his tiny self.
Brian was never the most genetically blessed-short, no muscle and small looking, and no strength or power to write home about. Luckily he’s chill and has a good personality.
Gotta say before I met Brian I was expecting to meet a giant only to realize in shock I had been looking right down at him!
Naturally I’m not one to make fun of or look down on people who weren’t dealt the best physical hand in life, so I treated him with utmost respect and was not disappointed to do so. We traded heartfelt conversations and lifted some weight a few times, and me being a pretty strong guy myself, I had him beat in every physical aspect possible. Of course, there was one thing Brian had me beat in, and that was with his heart, he made my entire month high-spirited with his well-mannered nature has taught me much. We could all learn a thing or two from Brian Shaw.
Brian doesn't "try" to be humble. He just is. But you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work. Excellent balance.

They both bring the hype, and juji adds in some comedy, but like Brian, he is incredibly knowledgable. Some people talk smart for the money, others are just intelligent

Yeah but Juju put on some serious mass compared to older videos. Very cool seeing these guys together I'm 135 lbs soaking wet and 5'11. I have leverage. 6'3 wing span. Lanky. Can throw like a mini beast, around 65 mph. These guys truly humble me. Amazing what all of the strong men do including juji even if wants to compete in body building and not strong man. His strength is real just like Shaw. Arnie will always be my fav body builder though. T2 judgment day. Won my heart. Cold cybernetic organism turned human by the end of the movie. That sh*t breaks my heart. These guys are so similar to that. Caring but turn into machines when they need to.
Shaw and hall are my two favorites. Man I love this stuff!!!
While the 226 wasn't a good lift, it flew up, I'd bet you can do 230 fresh. Incredible stuff Brian!!! Also thank you for the colab, your videos with Juji back at his gym were superb, I still watch them occasionally

I love this collab because Juji is who exposed me to the sport of strongman years ago in videos he made. He showed me Martins and down the line, Brian and I fell in love with the personalities as well as the insanity of the strength these dudes harness! Cheers fellas!

I like how Brian compares himself to strongman from the past and not just the current ones. And with his intensive knowledge of strongman history, I'm sure he means it when he says it's hard to debate whether he has the strongest grip

I've been at it since I was 11 I'm now 50 and grip strength has always been a challenge for me so seeing this video it's very impressive. Never seen those grip blocks before. I'll be looking into getting some for my home gym

I know Brian gets tired of everybody comparing themselves to him. Like I’m sure he knows he’s much larger than a lot of people, it must be really tiring hearing it all the time especially when he never tries to bring others down. It was just weird seeing JuJu cringe and joke everytime Brian lifted more weight than him like dude we know he’s stronger than all of us😂. Just enjoy the workout and be wholesome

Hand size must be a big factor in these lifts. How much of your fingers you can get around the object and create friction to lift it.

In that too, thumb size is the major factor. Two people who have similar length palms will have different grip , one with the longer thumb being the stronger.

Ermes Gasparini did 238lbs with a flexed wrist and thumb less grip on Larry's channel. I think he weighed around 250lbs that day.

ermes did this with a handle that was much smaller
his thumb was pressing against the side aswell meaning it was not a completely thumbless grip
though not the same strength i presume, 1 year ago he failed a lift called the plate pinch and brian has been doing that effortlessly for years.
I think ermes lift was incredible i'd like to see him and shawgo against eachother, maybe he could give him a run for his money in grip, and maybe brian will compete with him in arm wrestling one day!

The other aspect that you guys didn't talk about is hand size. With Brians Giant hand size he is able to clamp further across the blobs giving him an advantage that way. At least that would seem to be an advantage from a kinetic perspective.
Exactly. The bigger your hand is the more effective (not necessarily stronger) your grip is. In Brian case it's the combination of two.
Having the opportunity to lift with either of these guys would be such a fun experience and a great learning experience.
Thankx 4 making videos about grip! Richard Sorin has the original and one and only Blob. Everything else is just a block weight. Between events at a grip contest years ago I picked it up with two fingers. Maybe one day I’ll be able to do it again?

I think Brian Shaw does have the strongest grip, but Mark Felix grip has a combination of strength and endurance that is unmatched.
That is exactly why he hesitated at the start ... yuu cant just say you are the strongest without considering Mark and the records he is untouched on

Licis is such a fan of Brian, and from previous videos, I know they got along well eralier, but I've read some people actually talking about how Shaw doesn't really get along with him. It's sad to read, people talk about a sort of jealousy (why, I wouldn't know), or just that he knows "he's different behind the scenes" or whatever. I really hope I'm wrong, since I really like these guys...
