Los Angeles, CA (December 3, 2018) - The soaring success of Bohemian Rhapsody - the Freddie Mercury/Queen movie that is set to become the biggest grossing music biopic of all time - has proven that the public’s love for Queen remains as strong as ever. Longtime fans and recent converts will be thrilled to discover then, that Queen - original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor, teaming up once more with longtime frontman Adam Lambert on lead vocals - will return to North America next year. Produced by Live Nation, the epic 23-date arena and stadium Rhapsody tour is set to run from mid-July through late August with an all-new concert experience.
Tickets for the Rhapsody tour go on sale to the general public starting December 7th at LiveNation.com at 10 AM local time. Queen and Adam Lambert Fan Club Presales* will run from 10 AM local time through 10 PM local time on Thursday, December 6th.

Going under the Rhapsody header, the six-week tour will debut a brand new larger-than-life production. Stufish Entertainment Architects’ set designer Ric Lipson says: “Queen + Adam Lambert’s Rhapsody tour will, once again for them, expand the parameters of what a live music experience can be. This new show promises to be their most spectacular yet, an innovative and interactive celebration of the continued power of Queen’s music.”
The tour follows an acclaimed run of 10 sold-out shows at the MGM Park Theater, Las Vegas in September 2018 and will kick off July 10th at Vancouver Rogers Arena. Stop-offs include some of the most history-packed venues in the US and Canada, including The Forum in Los Angeles (the last venue the original line-up played in North America on September 15, 1982) and New York City’s Madison Square Garden (the site of past Queen glories, including a memorable performance from Queen + Adam Lambert on July 17, 2014). It will wrap August 23rd at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC.
Announcing their Rhapsody tour Roger Taylor said: "We are ready for America and raring to get back in the saddle.”
Adam Lambert said: “We have been designing a brand new visual spectacle that will reframe these iconic songs and we are excited to unveil it!”
With Brian May adding: “This is a great opportunity. Our last tour featured our most ambitious production ever and got us our best notices ever. So we decided to rip it apart and get even more ambitious! Watch out, America! "

No one can replace Freddie. But if anyone can be queens front runner, it’s Adam Lambert. Freddie was not just a singer, he was a performer and that can be seen in how he walked on stage. Adam may not be as spastic as Freddie but he has that same command of the stage. I’ll be seeing you guys in New Orleans ❤️

His legacy is not only the recorded music, the concerts focus on revisiting/renovating the live concerts... @Marylee Macpherson YES!! The first album I ever bought with my own allowance was "News of the World" in 1977! I was 11 years old. Been a fan since, but never got to see them live. I miss Freddie's talent and wit so much too, but Adam has a great voice and he is exposing young people to these gorgeous songs like they are new. I for one am grateful to Adam. Who knows if Queen would even be out playing live again if they didn't find him. I will finally have my lifelong dream fulfilled because of him!

You can’t live in the passed we all love Freddie, but time doesn’t stand still, Adam is the one queen choose and he is the future for green , and we have to respect that
They probably don't want someone like Marc Martel who sounds so identical to Freddie for a reason, Freddie was one of a kind and Brian and Roger are extremely picky about the people they spend their time with. They probably see something in Adam like we don't see, just like how they seen something special in Freddie. He probably feels like family just like he did. Adam makes it his own, makes it special still in his own way along side Queen and that's what's beautiful in a sense. Freddie did say he didn't care what they did with his music as long as it was never boring and Adam sure doesn't make it boring. I love that Marc sounds so identical to Freddie but replacing that lovely voice with the thought of how similar it sounds to him just seems a little heartbreaking because Freddie is in fact irreplaceable in many different senses, he is a one of a kind Queen just like Brian, Roger, and John.. they we're a family.
Couldn't have said it better myself. We don't need Queen becoming what happened to KISS. They replaced two of their band members and put the new guys in the old guys makeup and hid it for as long as they could saying, "They (the fans) wouldn't know the difference".
Then after they were found out, they just rolled with it. The new guys may be better musicians but, the whole situation was just a slap in the face.
I like how Queen does it. Queen + someone. They don't market themselves under the name Queen. It's the remaining members plus someone else.
Kinda wish KISS had thought of that. Now, I can't really enjoy anything by them except their early stuff and that's just the music.

Brian and Roger chose adam because they did not want a freddie copy and adam does not try to be like freddie he does it in his own way.
The fans want Marc though. Marc's stage presence (and voice) has improved tremendously over the years. With a bit of help and direction he could be an absolutely amazing lead singer for Queen. We want Marc!

No one is replacing Freddie, or finding someone who sounds like him to tour with Brian and roger. Im not a big fan of Adam, but he did a good job touring with Queen and I'm pretty sure Marc does not have such stage presence. I don't understand the hate Adam gets, Adam does his very best to perform with Queen and we should be grateful. Honestly if they find Marc to tour I'll be so angry that they are trying to replace Freddie with a sound a like.

I can't wait to see them. They're amazing together and they love each other. The chemistry onstage is unbelievable! Bri and Rog are still amazing and Adam is a great frontman with unbelievable pipes.

Adam Lambert is such an incredible performer and unbelievable vocalist with his own collection of top notch albums - I would go to the concert just to see him alone. If you do not want to see Queen with Adam Lambert then by all means STAY HOME WE NEED YOUR SEATS, because once again I will not miss this wonderful show. Been a Queen fan since the first US tour when they opened for Mott the Hoople, and have seen them many times. This era is just as good, just different. Adam is NOT an imitator, and that is what Brian and Roger want. Can not wait to see and enjoy it all one more time.
