Balloon assisted coiling - Old technique, nuances to achieve complete occlusion

One of our first few cases was done at Paras Hospital, Gurgaon. Acutely ruptured left MCA bifurcation aneurysm with a bulge of the aneurysm involving the MCA division. We used a standard Balloon assisted coiling technique. Using the right size of the coil and microcatheter manipulation, we could get a few coil loops into this aneurysmal bulge involving the bifurcation. Microcatheter reshaping and repositioning helped to achieve complete occlusion of the aneurysm. Old technique…. the nuances which help in complete reconstruction.
