Personal opinion - if you are comfortable enough, get atleast one credit card - have a utilisation rate below 10% and pay it off all on time. The offers and all aside, it also helps you build your credit history... When you want a home loan or auto loan, it may be helpful.

These days you can't get an 800 sq F 2bhk flat in Indiranagar for 25k! That's not the correct information, I am looking for a place and can confirm from my experience. In fact - now Bangalore rent is as high as Mumbai. There are few news articles covering the same.
Lol, you seriously don't know Mumbai rent if you're saying that. Try comparing Indiranagar and Malabar Hill. Both are the top areas of respective cities.
Independent houses you can get cheaper.. don't go for gated society

Do you know Mumbai even? 25k for 2 BHK was a steal even ten years back in the suburbs of Mumbai.. Indiranagar is the posh area of Bangalore. Comparative area in Mumbai is South Mumbai.. Here rent will be 1 lakhs
I'm staying in Indiranagar. Nowhere as expensive as Mumbai. ₹17k, 750 sq ft, have car parking, 24x7 power backup, etc.

Nothing gaurentees 11 percent returns. Above 8 always involves some kind of risk.

U can get 9% PA if you open an fd in unity small finance bank
Upto 5 Lakh rs including interested will be insured by rbi(dicgc)
Since u need money in 5 years don't take more risk just do fd in small finance banks

You missed out an important advice. Health insurance. When i was a full time freelancer, i made sure i have health insurance. I mean i still do. But, a freelancer gets no benefits which an employee gets. Health insurance is a must.
