- How I installed a shut off switch on my Troy Bilt engine swap to a predator lawn mower engine.
Tools normally required are:
Shut off switch, some wire, a screw Driver, 10mm socket, phillips screw driver, drill, wire strippers, and crimper. I used a soldering iron to make sure my connections were solid and would not vibrate apart. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Just got a predator vertical engine for a yard trimmer. It’s a lawn mower version of a string trimmer. I will implement a ground extension to switch to console identical to how you demonstrated. Thank you for sharing your videos. Best.

Dude... Thank you very much for this video! It was exactly the solution I was looking for!

I'd like to see a video about disabling or removing the flywheel brake.
Hmm. That would be a good one. Maybe I'll do that
I had no idea there was ground connected to the engine brake.
Did you have to adapt to the longer shaft of the predator engine vs what you had initially? I replaced the Kohler XT775 engine on my pressure washer and the shaft was about 1.25" longer, so I had to use spacers between the pump and engine.
Mine had a set screw in the pulley that I tightened. Haven't had an issue yey
How did you get yours to stay started with the initial rig? I have the same set up, everything was zipped tied to max, and it would only start to shut right off.
i tied the brake back with a coat hanger for starters. its on the left hand side if looking top down. that was the only shutoff if i remember correctly
