United. I've heard that economy is pretty bad on the 787 (yes we're taking it! But only the LAX-MEL route and then SYD-SFO to come back) so we got business class!

I haven't flown Emirates in a LOOONG time, but I'd say that Emirates is far better in all aspects than Etihad. Yes we did have a few bumps but not too bad turbulence.
10 more days to go. Coming Sunday I am going to try Etihad for the first time business class. This will be my first Middle eastern flight. Have been through many airlines including United , American, Thai, ANA ..yes Air Indian also. Hate Airindia business suck all the way..food service all of it. Not worth it.

AS Aviation there are sub classes in classes. Economy has 4: Saver (budget) Regular, Freedom and Flex (Freedom and Flex has more seat options and more air miles can be gained)
+Bilal Mahmood Emirates is doing really well and so is Qatar. My seat wouldn't recline, which was a problem, and the IFE became frozen too. If you can find a cheap ticket on any of these airlines do book it.

TheArabPilot yeah Metra runs in all directions from Chicago! One of their lines runs past O'Hare airport and another one goes into Wisconsin!

I flew PIA from ORD to Lahore in 2006.
Awesome, when I flew them in 2010 we flew ORD-BCN-LHE-KHI. It was fun staying onboard the plane in LHE during our one hour transit there!

We took off around 1PM (Chicago time) and landed in Abu Dhabi around 12PM (Dubai/Abu Dhabi time).
I had traveled about couple of months before on the same flight, the food quality and quantity was not that great for close to 14 hrs flight.
Etihad changes the menu every few months.
yes you may be right , but the ones I boarded had same meal for that route. It was not terrible but not great either.

Why u go economy I go first class emirates airlines and etihad airways
I was traveling with family, and it would cost almost double the cost of economy class to fly business or first class.
