La Rive is a very popular brand in Europe, coming from Poland. Mind you, their supposed ''dupe'' for YSL's Libre is called Destinee and was released in...2000!

Which would you pick: Sublime Epoque or Her Choice?
I love Sublime Epoque 😃
I'm such a tightarse and won't pay for an original scent unless it was on sale. 🤑
@jenjones1127 😂 really? I've been considering to get it. What makes you love it?
I don't have Her Choice (despite the fact I have a lot of La Rive fragrances) as I have Sublime Epoque by Zara and Love's Way by Riiffs. The Riiffs is closer to the Armani because it is a Tuberosey (also a bubblegummy, soft one) - Jasmine scent with a hint of strawberry indeed. Sublime Epoque is different, because it's sparkly orange blossom to the max on top of a little tuberose and some jasmine. No strawberry and sweeter. The projection and longevity are awesome for the Zara. Riffs is slightly less excellent in that regard, like max 5hrs if you've moisturised properly and/ or have normal or oily skin. But for a cheap dupe that's still good and the bottle is really heavy, nice glass.
It's why I like to keep both, as they're very similar but not the same.
However, the Riiffs is €25 and the La Rive is a tenner maximum. So most likely, I'll finish Love'sWay and then get the My Choice by La Rive instead. Oh yeah, and keep Sublime Epoque too, of course 😂.
Hmm, I just realised I've not tried to layer Love's Way and Sublime Epoque! I think that might be just about excellent, and a much stronger result as well.
Anyway, hope this helped a bit.

@@ThaLatterRain Really hope you'll love it just as much as I do! I hate that Zara has raised the prices so much - and that those new bottles, beautiful and elegant though they might be, aren't refillable - but I'll probably keep buying it because every single time I wear Sublime Epoque I keep sniffing myself and feel uplifted. It's addictive - to me at least. It's really strange, but I always get thirsty when I smell it 🤣. I have the same with Zara's Hibiscus.
Btw, not sure you're familiar with La Rive or Zara fragrances, but like the Middle Eastern fragrances many of them need to sit for a while after the first spray - get some extra maceration to properly blend and strengthen the notes. I think the SE was one of the fragrances that didn't need that, but just in case it's really weak, smells strange, you get an alcohol cloud, or you barely get any obvious notes: macerate! I often let them sit for at least 3-4wks if it's not okay, or even longer. But I also have 180+ perfumes 🤫🙈🤷♀️. Meaning I won't miss it that much if I don't know the fragrance yet.
Too bad the time for any My Way dupe is almost at its end. We're close to going into full blown Autumn: cold 🥶 rainy, windy, gray. Ugh... The only thing I like about the colder weather is that the favourite part of my fragrance collection can be worn again: the heavy, spicy/woody/ gourmandy/ sensual floral stuff like Angel, Khamrah, La Belle Le Parfum, Club de Nuit Intense Women, La Nuit Tresor, Raghba, Black Opium, Velvet Rose (smoky rose from Lattafa), or my dupe for Grand Soir and Tobacco Vanille...yup, I'm that kinda girl.
I'm about to put a lot of fragrances (all new in box, but for 1 or 2 test sprays) up for sale because I have too many blind buy fails (I have weird skin chemistry due to medication and B12 shots) or fragrances that fall in the category "nice". I like them, they smell nice on me, but it's not the type of perfume that makes me feel empowered or sexy, where I keep sniffing myself. 'Selling good' means being able to buy new fragrances that I love just as much as the aforementioned ones. After all these years I still haven't found a great vanilla forward perfume that's warm and feminine instead of smelling like burnt plastic, a doll's head or pencil shavings. Ridiculous! Enjoy your Sublime Epoque!
YES!! I would 100% trade it in too Coco! Bought a bottle for 5 euro and it was at first not quite the same. I let it sit for a few months and it's like the vanilla note got better. Now I can hardly tell them apart. 🎉

Found this in a shop in 100 ml for what in dollars would be 7$ ( i live in denmark) and have always used wy way and i can't tell them apart😳 i mean even the colours are the same..and " wy way" and " her choice" they have given every single clue! Hi, how does it compare to sublime epoque by Zara ?
Is that the original or the intense? As it seems all the perfume houses are coming out with intense versions and everyone's like ' if i knew they were coming out with an intense i would've waited for that as it's better' etc.
However not gonna lie, i went Angel Nova as 1 I'm a mugler fan and AN & My Way came out at a similar time as well as smelled very similar but AN to me had a bit more fruity effervesence compared to the powdery sparkle of My Way
I guess I have no say 😂😂😅. I do enjoy My Way though. I need to wear it more. However I prefer the intense version
